Estenose Aórtica Supravalvar - uma revisão de literatura / Supravalvar Aortic Stenosis- a review of literature

A estenose aórtica supravalvar (EAS) é a forma mais rara de obstrução da via de saída do ventrículo esquerdo. Objetivo: descrever as principais características da EAS, conforme a literatura atual. Metodologia: trata-se de uma pesquisa do tipo artigo de revisão em que se consultou a base de dados PUBMED, utilizando como palavras-chave a serem pesquisadas com o descritor (DECS/MESH): Aortic Stenosis, Supravalvular e as palavras-chave Elastin e Ventricular Outflow Obstruction, empregando o operador booleano AND. Resultou-se em 21 artigos no período de 2014-2022 e após em uma seleção em 10 artigos. Resultados: a EAS pode ocorrer de forma isolada, ser herdada de forma autossômica dominante ou vir associada à Síndrome de Williams. O diagnóstico é confirmado por meio da ecocardiografia. Conclusão: a cirurgia geralmente é curativa e é recomendada precocemente. Os resultados após a correção cirúrgica dependem da natureza da estenose e da presença de lesões cardíacas associadas.   

Spontaneous dissection of the celiac trunk: report of three cases and review of the literature

Spontaneous dissection of the celiac trunk is quite an uncommon medical condition, with few case reports in the medical literature. Sudden epigastric abdominal pain is the most common complaint reported by patients, but due to the rarity of this disease in clinical practice and the nonspecific nature of its symptoms, a high degree of clinical suspicion is needed to establish diagnosis. However, improvements in imaging techniques are facilitating diagnosis of this clinical entity, increasing its detection rate. The ideal treatment has not yet been fully established in the literature and the available therapeutic strategies are conservative medical treatment, surgical revascularization or endovascular intervention.
