Libraries have collected data across multiple platforms and areas and developed reports to inform their stakeholders to show the value of the library. As data collection methods have evolved, more assessment platforms have become available in the market. LibAnalytics can help you pull together an all-inclusive, real-time assessment of your library’s services. At the University of Maryland, Priddy Library, we implemented LibAnalytics in 2011 to centralize our data collection points on numerous library services. Learn how this personalized tool has helped the Priddy Library aggregate statistics on library services such as gate counts, circulation and acquisition statistics, interlibrary loan activity, reference statistics and library instruction sessions. The presentation will focus on how we developed a customized instance based on library services and the assessment needs specific to our library. Participants will brainstorm data collection points based on their library services and how to group data points logically. The presentation will discuss how to create a dataset, categorize data entry fields, develop questions, select data field types (i.e. numeric, single or multi option dropdown menus, or text fields), and edit existing datasets. In a few simple steps, learn how to filter your data, generate custom reports, create visualizations, analyze library usage instantly, and produce shareable dashboards to provide a comprehensive overview of your library’s metrics. Optimization of nitrogen application and planting geometry for production of cut chrysanthemums (Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat.)

Nutrition and planting geometry are the two key factors affecting the production and quality of cut stems in chrysanthemum. The present investigation was undertaken to standardize the nitrogen nutrition and planting geometry for chrysanthemum var. “Yellow Star” cultivated for cut flowers. The data revealed the proportionate increase in plant height, chlorophyll content, days to bud appearance and days to 50% inflorescence anthesis and length of cut stem with increase in nitrogen dose and row spacing. However, flower diameter, number of flowers per stem, cut stem diameter, vase life, and water absorbed by cut flower decreased proportionately with increase in nitrogen dose and row spacing. Application of N@100 Kg ha-1 to chrysanthemum planted at 20x10 cm spacing produced cut stems of acceptable length, more number of flowers of bigger size and optimum postharvest longevity. The amount of nitrogen can be reduced to 1/3rd to grow cut chrysanthemums planted at twice the row spacing for longer cut stems of appreciable vase life

Solvent Evaporation Technique Of Microencapsulation: A Systemic Review

Solvent evaporation is one of the most widely employed and investigated technique in pharmaceutical industries and research area for microencapsulation process.Microspheres are particles coated with a continuous film of polymeric material, having a diameter in range of 1 to 1000 ?m and are widely used as drug carriers. This technique provides a controlled drug release, having various clinical benefits. While initial lab scale experiments are carried out in simple beaker, stirrer setups, clinical trials and market introduction needs more sophisticated technologies, permitting economic robust, well-controllable and aseptic production of microspheres. In this review article our aim is to review and compile recent research work on solvent evaporation technique while focusing on different methods of above said technique and various factors affecting microencapsulation prepared by solvent evaporation technique

EFFICACY OF ANANDA YOGA CHURNA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF MOOTRASHMARI (UROLITHIASIS) - A CLINICAL STUDY

According to modern science, the formation of stone in urinary system is one of the main problems of urology. The cause and mechanism of their formation is still uncertain. On one hand surprisingly stone does not always form when such factors are present and on the other hand stones may develop when factors are apparently absent too. Treatment of calculi in modern science is only surgery and very less medicines are available for this purpose. After surgery, the probability of reoccurrence of calculi is same as previously, so it is negative aspect of this science. But in ancient medical, after treatment and removal of stone, the chances of recurrence are rarely occurs. In this research work, subjective symptoms like pain, burning micturiton, haematuria, dysurea, tenderness and fever are reduced very significantly and their recurrence does not occurs during trial of drug. Maximum patients belong to the category of renal and ureter culculi and efficacy of drug are also maximum observe on renal and as well as ureter. On the basis of size of calculi i.e. 6 mm to >10 mm, the efficacy of drug are also observed and result exhibited as 66 percent to 100 percent. So, the overall result in this research work is that, 72 % patients are cured, 20% patients are improved and only 8% patients are unchanged. Hence, the classical medicine Anand yoga churna for Mutrashmari is best the medicine because its efficacy is very significant on both subjective and objective parameters, cast effective, easy availability and also removed the negative aspect of modern medical science i.e. recurrence of calculi.
