    O baleiro: processo de produção da videoarte sobre hipermedicalização

    Este relatório compreende a descrição detalhada das etapas de concepção teórica, pesquisa, investigação prática, produção, execução e montagem da videoarte O Baleiro. Trata-se de uma videoarte performática (5’) acerca da hipermedicalização, derivado de estudo sobre a Performance e a Ocupação das ruas. A videoarte foi o produto final de uma imersão ocorrida no Museu de Arte do Rio, em 2018, cuja a conclusão foi a ativação de performances nas ruas e seus respectivos registros. A proposta envolve temas como saúde, corpo e cidade. O Kabuto foi o protótipo da ideia, um capacete confeccionado com cartelas de remédio usado para performar nas ruas do entorno do Museu. Após isso, foi criado o objeto definitivo, criado com material doado e que terá descarte correto: gancho, corrente, sacos e cartelas de remédios vazias. Este, em alusão ao objeto que carrega produtos dos vendedores ambulantes, batizado como Baleiro, também foi experimentado nas ruas. A videoarte acompanha desde o processo de confecção até a experimentação do baleiro em público

    Damage levels of sunburn in pineapple fruits submitted to natural and artificial protection

    Pineapple sunburn (SB) occurs mostly in regions with a high incidence of sunlight and temperature, causing damage to the fruits and financial losses for the producer. The objective of this study was to evaluate natural and artificial protection in the reduction of physical and physiological damage in pineapple, submitted to high temperature and sunlight. The experimental design was in randomized blocks with seven treatments: single planting of pineapple (cv. Pérola), with and without the protection of fruits with woven fabrics (TNT) and intercropping with cassava (cv. Amazonas) in different spacing in the row (0.40; 0. 60; 0.80; 1.00; and1.20 m), and three replications. For the study, a scale of damage level (DL) to the pineapple by SB was established, ranging from 0 to 4 (DL0 - 4). Chlorophyll content, mass of fruits and crown, percentage of fruits with SB, and commercial fruits were evaluated. The TNT uses showed maximum protection for the fruits, being all suitable for fresh consumption no damage (DL0). In intercropping, the spacing of 0.80 and 1.20 m is indicated to maximize fruit production and protection. The absence of fruit protection caused damage up to N4, with fruits strictly suitable for industry (70%) and disposal (13%). In an environment with high temperature and irradiation, the adoption of fruit protection is necessary. The planning of floral induction allows the fruiting to not coincide with the critical period of high solar incidence and temperature and can avoid the use of protection strategies. The intercropping of pineapple and cassava protects pineapple fruits against sunburn; moreover, its use does not leave inorganic residues in the environment; therefore, it is strongly recommended as a strategy to reduce sunburn in pineapple fruits

    In vivo evaluation of tissue response to new endodontic sealers

    Introduction: The sealers can be in direct contact with the periapical tissues. Thus, these materials must have appropriate physical and biological properties, providing conditions for repair to occur. Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the response of rat subcutaneous tissue to endodontics sealers. Material and methods: Three materials comprised the groups: group I – Zinc Oxide, Eugenol and Iodoform paste, group II – Portland cement with propylene glycol, and group III – MTA Fillapex® (Angelus). These materials were placed in polyethylene tubes and implanted into dorsal connective tissue of Wistar rats for seven and 15 days. The specimens were stained with hematoxylin and eosin and evaluated regarding to inflammatory reaction parameters through a light microscope. The data were compared using Kruskal-Wallis test with significance level of 5%. The intensity of inflammatory response against the sealers was analyzed by two blinded and previously calibrated observers for all experimental periods. Results: The histological evaluation showed that all the materials caused a moderated inflammatory reaction at seven days which decreased with time. A greater inflammatory reaction was observed at seven days in group I. The other specimens had significantly less inflammatory cells when compared to this group. Tubes with MTA Fillapex® presented some giant cells, macrophages and lymphocytes after seven days. At 15 days, the presence of fibroblasts and collagen fibers was observed indicating normal tissue healing. The group II showed similar results to those observed in MTA Fillapex® already at seven days. At 15 days the inflammatory reaction presented was almost absent at the tissue, with many collagen fibers indicating normal tissue healing. Statistical analysis showed a significant statistical difference amongst the group I (seven days) and II (15 days) (p < 0.05). In the other groups no (Continue)(Continuation) significant statistical differences were observed. Conclusion: MTA Fillapex® and Portland cement with propylene glycol were more biocompatible than the other tested cement

    Farelo integral de arroz parboilizado submetido a armazenamento prolongado para alimentação de codornas de corte

    O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a estabilidade oxidativa do farelo integral de arroz parboilizado (FIAP) durante o armazenamento e os efeitos do seu uso na alimentação de codornas de corte. Foram utilizados 245 animais com sete dias de idade, de ambos os sexos, distribuídos em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com cinco tratamentos, em arranjo fatorial 2x2+1, e sete repetições de sete aves. Avaliaram-se os seguintes tratamentos: dieta controle, sem adição de FIAP; e níveis de inclusão, na dieta controle, de 10 e 20% de FIAP armazenado por 180 dias (FIAPA) ou de FIAP novo (FIAPN). Houve oxidação lipídica do FIAP durante o armazenamento, e o índice de acidez foi de 4,25 e 63,50 (% em ácido oleico) e o de peróxido foi de 15,64 e 38,28 meq kg-1 para FIAPN e FIAPA, respectivamente. A inclusão do FIAP resultou em menor digestibilidade da matéria seca e do nitrogênio e em maior valor de energia metabolizável da ração, em comparação à ração controle. A inclusão de 20% de FIAPA resultou em menor energia metabolizável da ração do que a adição do FIAPN. As inclusões não influenciaram desempenho, características da carcaça, pesos relativos do fígado e do pâncreas, e crescimento e qualidade óssea. O FIAPA, mesmo com rancidez, pode ser utilizado na alimentação de codornas de corte em níveis de até 20% de inclusão
