Nova metoda mjerenja ekonomske konvergencije i njena primjena na centralne kineske provincije
In order to solve the shortcomings of classical convergence analysis and spatial econometric analysis, this paper proposes a delta statistics method to assess economic growth convergence of central China cities. The result shows to be more close to the reality by analyzing the drawbacks of the classical relative beta convergence, combining the advantages of gams convergence, reference panel data, co-integration theory with the time factor into model. Then, Monte Carlo simulation method is used to analyze its distribution, which shows that it obeys to the normal distribution assumption in large samples. At last, our method is applied to the analysis of economic convergence of central China.
Numerical simulation of pore-scale flow in chemical flooding process
AbstractChemical flooding is one of the effective technologies to increase oil recovery of petroleum reservoirs after water flooding. Above the scale of representative elementary volume (REV), phenomenological modeling and numerical simulations of chemical flooding have been reported in literatures, but the studies alike are rarely conducted at the pore-scale, at which the effects of physicochemical hydrodynamics are hardly resolved either by experimental observations or by traditional continuum-based simulations. In this paper, dissipative particle dynamics (DPD), one of mesoscopic fluid particle methods, is introduced to simulate the pore-scale flow in chemical flooding processes. The theoretical background, mathematical formulation and numerical approach of DPD are presented. The plane Poiseuille flow is used to illustrate the accuracy of the DPD simulation, and then the processes of polymer flooding through an oil-wet throat and a water-wet throat are studies, respectively. The selected parameters of those simulations are given in details. These preliminary results show the potential of this novel method for modeling the physicochemical hydrodynamics at the pore scale in the area of chemical enhanced oil recovery
Intensity of environmental regulation and environmentally biased technology in the employment market
Due to the lack of an appropriate method to measure biased technological progress, the theory of how environmental regulations affect employment demand through biased technological progress in Porterās hypothesis has not been effectively verified. To fill this gap, this study extends Acemogluās (2012) biased technological progress theory, and reasonably measures environmentally biased technological progress using data envelopment analysis. The effect of environmental regulation on labor supply and demand is analyzed through environmentally biased technological progress. The results show that progress in environmentally biased technology can promote the supply and demand of regional labor force. However, if the development of energy saving and emission reduction technology is inconsistent with economic growth, then progress in environmentally biased technology has a negative impact on the demand for regional labor. Environmental regulation has a significant negative impact on labor demand, but its self-adjusting mechanism reignites labor demand

Environmental efficiency and policy change in China: A new meta-frontier non-radial angle efficiency evaluation approach
This study revised the non-radial angle model and set up the meta-frontier non-radial angle efficiency (MNAE) model. Moreover, an angle efficiency index was established in the MNAE model to reflect changes in the production decisions of decision-making units as a result of the external environment. The study conducted empirical analysis on data for 30 provinces in China from 2004 to 2015. The results showed that the eastern area of China was sensitive to fluctuations in the worldās economy and was able to quickly adjust production decision making; the western area lagged relatively behind in making changes, and the central area was not affected. Effects of international trade and foreign direct investment on the Shandong, Jiangsu, Fujian, Liaoning, Hunan, Henan, Jiangxi, and Sichuan provinces were significant and caused notable policy changes, which led to short-term resource waste and policy faults. This study also provides policy advice based on the results
Cloning, Expression, Characterization, and Tissue Distribution of Cystatin C from Silver Carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix)
Cystatins are proteins, which inhibit cysteine proteases, such as papain. In this study, the 336-bp cystatin C gene (family II, HmCysC) of silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix) was cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3). HmCysC encodes the mature peptide of cystatin C (HmCystatin C), with 111 amino acids. A typical QXXXG motif was found in HmCystatin C and it formed a cluster with Cyprinus carpio and Danio rerio cystatin C in the phylogenetic tree. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction analysis indicated that HmCysC was transcribed at different levels in five tested tissues of silver carp. Following purification with Ni2+ā nitrilotriacetic acid agarose affinity chromatography, HmCystatin C displayed a molecular weight of 20 kDa in sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Purified HmCystatin C had strong inhibitory effects toward the proteolytic activity of papain. Immunochemical staining with anti-HmCystatin C antibody showed that HmCystatin C was widely distributed in silver carp tissues. These results collectively demonstrated the properties of HmCystatin C, providing information for further studies of cystatins from fish organisms.Peer reviewe
