Analysis of Dual Use of a Trunk Group with Reservation

This paper considers the traffic aspects of a multitrunk communication system under a dual use of trunks for both direct and store-and-forward (S/F) traffic, in which one trunk is held in reserve for direct traffic. A method of computation, some results for trunk efficiencies and blocking probabilities of direct traffic and also of S/F traffic are presented. Numerical results are obtained for the various cases. The numerical results show that the trunk efficiency of the system can be twice as high as that of the system with no S/F traffic. This is possible without any significant impairment of the grade of service to direct traffic due to mixing S/F traffic. Moreover, in the system, the grade of service of S/F traffic is not significantly impaired due to the trunk held in reserve for direct traffic

Analysing the Characteristics of the Translation of Time in the New Testaments of Traditional Chinese Wenli Version

This paper deals with the translation of time expressions between the two different cultures of modern Western and China and considered the Chinese version of the Bible translated by modern Western missionaries, while also revealing how the Western missionaries translated the time of the Western scripture of the Bible into Chinese as part of a process of exchange between the language and culture of West and East. In the translation before the early 19th century, a certain degree of confusion emerges when translating expressions of time and the amount of time. However, as the times change, the time expressions in the Chinese literary translation of the Bible all converge to the style of traditional expression.特別寄

Analysis of the characteristics of Chinese cooking terms in Zaoyangfanshu

19世紀に中国の門戸が対外的に開かれ、西洋人が中国で活動するようになると、彼らは自らの食文化も中国に持ち込み、同世紀の後半には幾つかの西洋料理解説書が出版された。本稿では、それらの西洋料理解説書のうちクロフォード夫人（M.F.Crawford）著『造洋飯書』（1866年初版）について、複数の先行研究によって“官話”に分類されるも未だ詳らかではないその言語的特徴について、動詞と各種補語の構造、量詞の用法、時間表現その他のキーワードに関する考察を通して明らかにしようとするものである。本稿の考察を通して、『造洋飯書』が、動詞が結果補語や方向補語派生義、そして介詞フレーズ後置を多用することで、調理手順を平易かつ詳細に、極めて自然な中国語で表現していることが明らかになった。さらに、時量の表現についても、西洋の時間概念と中国の伝統的な“時辰”との併用が認められ、十二支による伝統的な表現に集約していった官話訳聖書とは異文化翻訳の方向性が異なることが分かった。内田慶市教授 井上泰山教授 退休記念

本論文は、『平家物語』の歴史叙述がいかにして成立したのか、そして、ひとたび生み出された『平家物語』が中世社会とどのようにかかわりあい、互いに何をもたらしたのかという視点から『平家物語』について論じたものである。第一部「小松家の物語の展開」は、『平家物語』のなかではことに重要な存在として描かれる小松家のひとびとの物語を取り上げた。第一章「重盛の法名をめぐって」では、平重盛に「証空」と「静蓮」という二通りの法名が伝えられていることに着目した。実際に重盛の法名であったのは「証空」と考えられ、「静蓮」は後世にいたってあらわれたものとみられる。「静蓮」という法名は、『平家物語』が掲げる重盛像、小松家像を支えるものであり、その背景には中世社会の通念にもとづく嫡流の系譜にたいする意識があったであろうことを指摘した。補節「維盛法名考」では、重盛の子息維盛の法名「静円」にも目を向けた。維盛の法名もまた、後世に用意されたものであり、『平家物語』がこの法名の流布と社会への定着に大きな役割を果たしたと考えられる。第二章「土佐守宗実説話の成立と展開」では、『平家物語』諸本にみえる土佐守宗実（重盛の子息）の平家敗北後の後日譚にかんして、その史実性について改めて検証し、脚色部分がどのような背景から成り立ったものであったのかを考察した。第三章「小松家の物語という論理」は、ここまでの第一部の内容を踏まえ、『平家物語』にとって、ひいては『平家物語』をうみだし、受け入れた中世社会にとって小松家の物語とはどうあるべきものであったのかという視点から、小松家の公達の物語の構造を考えつつ、一部『平家物語』諸本が土佐守宗実を「生蓮房」としていることに注目し、宗実が「生蓮房」であることにより、どんな文脈を含みこむことになるのかを論じた。第二部「源平の争乱の時代をめぐる歴史認識」では、『平家物語』が平家一門の台頭からその凋落まで、そしてあらたな頼朝の時代のはじまりをどのようにとらえ、みずからの歴史叙述を作り上げたのか、そしてその歴史叙述は中世社会の歴史認識とどんな関係を持つことになるのかをいくつかのテーマから考察する。第一章「「重衡被斬」の成立背景」では、『簡要類聚鈔』の記述などから重衡の北の方大納言典侍の実際の足跡を追究した。『平家物語』における重衡と北の方大納言典侍の再会と別れの物語は、実際の彼らの再会の様子とは異なるものであり、彼らの物語は、さまざまな要素が肉付けされるかたちで成り立ったものであると考えられる。第二章「『平家物語』の頼朝と重盛」は、多くの『平治物語』諸本や『平家物語』諸本、後世に編纂された資料において、平治の乱後、頼朝の助命に重盛が関与していたという記述がみられる点に着目し、そうした頼朝と重盛の関係性が『平家物語』の歴史叙述のなかでどのような意味を持つのかを考察した。頼朝を救う重盛という過去の物語を含め、『平家物語』における重盛の造形、重盛に関連する物語は、清盛につづくあらたな「将軍」頼朝の正当性を支えるものとして機能していると考えられる。第三章「中世の歴史認識と「平家物語」―大乗院尋尊を例に―」は、『平家物語』の歴史叙述と中世社会の歴史認識の関係を具体的にとらえるべく、その一例として興福寺大乗院門跡尋尊の歴史認識と『平家物語』との距離を検討した。尋尊の歴史認識には『平家物語』の影響が薄いものの、一方で、もとをたどれば『平家物語』という説を受け入れている様子も確認され、中世社会における『平家物語』の複雑な位置づけをうかがうことができる。第三部「重源と『平家物語』」では、東大寺の勧進聖俊乗房重源をとおして『平家物語』を考えてゆく。ここでは、『平家物語』における重源を考える以前の問題として、中世において重源という存在は何者であったのか、どのように語られていたのかという点にかんしても検討をおこなった。第一章「重源の入宋をめぐる言説とその展開」では、重源を語る際には欠くことのできない入宋という事績に注目する。重源についてふれる資料の多くが入宋にかんしても言及しているが、入宋を重源の生涯のどの段階の事績として位置付けているかという点については、時代的変遷がみられることを指摘した。第二章「阿波守宗親説話再考」は、前章を踏まえながら、『発心集』や延慶本『平家物語』に収録される阿波守宗親（平宗盛の猶子）の発心譚の近年の一般的な解釈、とくに宗親の妹なる存在をどのようにとらえるかという問題について考察をおこなった。第三章「重源像の変遷」は、重源活動期から後世にいたるまで、重源がどのような存在として認識されてきたのか、その変遷の段階を明らかにした。また、重源にたいする認識の時代的変容のみならず、特定の環境下における、その環境の特徴に起因する重源像の展開についても論じた。第四章「『平家物語』の重源」では、これまでおこなってきた『平家物語』の重源関連話の考察を総合的にとらえ、重源という存在が『平家物語』の歴史叙述に何をもたらしたのか、重源をとおして何を語ろうとしているのかを考察した。学習院大学Gakushuin Universit

Analyzing the Characteristics of the Mandarin Dialect in Edkins\u27s Chinese Mandarin Textbooks

J. Edkins\u27s "Progressive Lessons in the Chinese Spoken Language with List of Common Words and Phrases and an Appendix Containing the Laws of Tones in the Peking Dialect" is a textbook on the Mandarin dialect published in 1862, which was subsequently revised four times in the 19th century (1864, 1869, 1881, and 1889). This textbook was written for Western learners, which means that topics and vocabulary are limited to trade between Western and China, and the specific areas where westerners lived in China. This volume therefore does not allow us to conceive of a true image of Chinese linguistic communications in 19th century directly. However, this textbook classified the vocabulary of Mandarin - the common dialect of modern China - by Western concepts, recorded the pronunciation of this language using the alphabet, and described expressions of time influenced by Western concepts in many cases. Through analyzing the content written in this textbook, this paper provides a true picture of linguistic image of the time written by Western people

Advanced Maxillary Sinus Cancer Treated with Concurrent Chemoradiotherapy with Intra-Arterial Cisplatin/Docetaxel and Oral S-1: Own Experience and Literature Review

Intra-arterial (IA) chemotherapy for head and neck cancer is effective and multiple IA concurrent chemoradiation (CCRT) protocols have been reported. However, the role of IA CCRT in the multimodality treatment of head and neck cancer is still controversial. We have treated 5 cases of unresectable T4 maxillary sinus squamous cell carcinoma with IA cisplatin (CDDP) and docetaxel (DOC) and CCRT with oral S-1. We report our experience and the effectiveness and feasibility of this combination as an alternative choice of treatment for inoperable head and neck cancer. The patients received an IA infusion of CDDP (50–70 mg/m2) and DOC (50–60 mg/m2) through the femoral artery, followed by CCRT with oral S-1. The IA infusion was repeated up to 3 times and the radiation was dosed at up to 60–70 Gy. Complete response was achieved in 4 patients and partial response in one, giving an overall response rate of 100%. The most common grade 3 or 4 toxicities were anorexia (80%), mucositis (80%) and leukopenia (80%), all of which were manageable. CCRT with IA CDDP/DOC and oral S-1 was effective and tolerated. Although preliminary, the response rate encourages further pursuit and definitive evaluation of this combination for the treatment of inoperable advanced head and neck cancer
