Clockwork seesaw mechanisms
We propose new mechanisms for small neutrino masses based on clockwork
mechanism. The Standard Model neutrinos and lepton number violating operators
communicate through the zero mode of clockwork gears, one of the two couplings
of the zero mode is exponentially suppressed by clockwork mechanism. Including
all known examples for the clockwork realization of the neutrino masses,
different types of models are realized depending on the profile and chirality
of the zero mode fermion. Each type of realization would have
phenomenologically distinctive features with the accompanying heavy neutrinos.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, minor revision (discussion and notation

Face Song Player According to Facial Expressions
Contemporary people have highly insufficient time and means of relieving their stress. Provision of a program that can solve such stress in daily life would make one’s life substantially more enjoyable. In this thesis, Face Song Player, which is a system that recognizes the facial expression of an individual and plays music that is appropriate for such person, is presented. It studies information on the facial contour lines and extracts an average, and acquires the facial shape information. MUCT DB was used as the DB for learning. For the recognition of facial expression, an algorithm was designed by using the differences in the characteristics of each of the expressions on the basis of expressionless images. Facial expression is extracted by acquiring information on the eyes, eyebrows, eyelids, mouth, lips and nasal cheeks for expressions of happiness, surprise and sorrow as well as absence of expression. There is an advantage of being able to obtain a substantial effect with very low cost through this system
Ni-dispersed fullerenes: Hydrogen storage and desorption properties
Our study shows that the H2 storage media using Ni-dispersed fullerenes could be viable alternatives to reversible hydrogen storage. It is demonstrated that a single Ni coated on the fullerene surface can store up to three H2 molecules. Consequently, at high Ni coverage, Ni-dispersed fullerenes are considered to be the novel hydrogen storage media capable of storing ~6.8 wt % H2, thus exceeding the Department of Energy target (6.5 wt %) for automobile applications. Moreover, the H2 desorption activation barrier of 11.8 kcal/mol H2 is ideal for many practical hydrogen storage applications
Sum-Rate Maximization of RSMA-based Aerial Communications with Energy Harvesting: A Reinforcement Learning Approach
In this letter, we investigate a joint power and beamforming design problem
for rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA)-based aerial communications with
energy harvesting, where a self-sustainable aerial base station serves multiple
users by utilizing the harvested energy. Considering maximizing the sum-rate
from the long-term perspective, we utilize a deep reinforcement learning (DRL)
approach, namely the soft actor-critic algorithm, to restrict the maximum
transmission power at each time based on the stochastic property of the channel
environment, harvested energy, and battery power information. Moreover, for
designing precoders and power allocation among all the private/common streams
of the RSMA, we employ sequential least squares programming (SLSQP) using the
Han-Powell quasi-Newton method to maximize the sum-rate for the given
transmission power via DRL. Numerical results show the superiority of the
proposed scheme over several baseline methods in terms of the average sum-rate
performance.Comment: 13 pages, 4 figures, submitted to IEEE Wireless Communications

Substitution Errors by English L1-KFL Learners: Nominative-by-Accusative
This study aims to examine the grammatical constructions associated with the frequent substitution of the nominative particle (-i/-ka) by the accusative particle (-ul/-lul) made by English L1-KFL learners and provide a strategy for the facilitation of Korean language learning and pedagogical improvement. The study explores the sentential constructions that ‘trigger’ such substitutions and attempts to give linguistic and pedagogical explanations. As a pedagogical strategy, the study proposes to use Korean-oriented English sentence constructions such as ‘As for X+Top/Nom, Y+Nom Z-Predicate’
Research on Legal Problems regarding Access and Benefit-Sharing of Marine Genetic Resources——Focused on the Patent System
Development of “Bioprospecting” and “Biotechnology”, human found richness in Marine Genetic Resources(hereinafter MGRs) and its potential value. Access and Benefit-Sharing from using Marine Genetic Resources caused a lot of jurisprudential concerns. Under these circumstances the legal status of MGRs and activities related to MGRs are not clearly defined, the use of MGRs and the protection of the...学位:法学硕士院系专业:法学院法律系_经济法学学号:1292008115364
