An Ap star catalog based on LAMOST DR9

We present a sample of 2700 Ap stars in LAMOST DR9. The candidates are first selected to be in a temperature range typical of Ap stars by using the BPBP-RPRP color index from Gaia DR3. Then the 5200\,\AA\ flux depression features characteristic of Ap stars are visually checked in LAMOST DR9 spectra. The detailed spectral features are given by applying a modified spectral classification program, MKCLASS. Stellar parameters of these Ap stars such as TeffT_{\rm eff}, logg\log g, [Fe/H], [Si/H], and vsiniv{\sin}i are either extracted from a hot star catalog or derived through empirical relations and then a statistical analysis is carried out. The evolutionary stages are also discussed. Finally, we discuss the rotation and pulsation features of those who have TESS or Kepler light curves. Among these Ap stars we find 7 new rotation variables, 1 new roAp star, and new δ\delta Scuti pulsation of a previously known roAp star

MicroRNA-575 targets BLID to promote growth and invasion of non-small cell lung cancer cells

AbstractThis study was designed to detect miR-575 expression and function in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). A higher expression of miR-575 in NSCLC tissues was observed compared with adjacent non-neoplastic tissues. Furthermore, re-introduction of miR-575 significantly promoted cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in the NSCLC line. Moreover, we showed that BLID is negatively regulated by miR-575 at the posttranscriptional level, via a specific target site within the 3′UTR. Overexpression of BLID counteracted miR-575-induced proliferation and invasion in NSCLC cells. The expression of BLID is frequently downregulated in NSCLC tumors and cell lines and inversely correlates with miR-575 expression. The findings of this study contribute to the current understanding of the functions of miR-575 in NSCLC

Research of the Spring Festival Report Overseas in Chinese Mainstream Media: Taking the CGTN as an Example

    No full text
In the context of intercultural communication, as a traditional Chinese festival. The Spring Festival (also called Chinese New Year)has caused widespread dissemination overseas. The article takes Chinese mainstream media CGTN’s Chinese New Year related reports released on Youtube platform as research samples, and takes the period of Chinese New Year of the Rabbit in 2023 as the time period for the study. Starting from the video content released by CGTN, the article explores the Chinese image and Chinese symbols shaped by it. And with the support of Frame Theory, the study analyzes the reporting framework from two levels of textual content and value orientation, and further to explore the communication dilemma of Chinese image in the intercultural communication context

The declining cyanobacterial blooms in Lake Taihu (China) in 2021: The interplay of nutrients and meteorological determinants

The cyanobacterial blooms are global environmental perils and have been extensively compounded and changeable in Lake Taihu with emerging significantly higher intensities during 2016–2019 than those in 2010–2015. However, the cyanobacterial density and chlorophyll-a (chl-a) contents of Lake Taihu in 2021 have been downturned in recent years, and the underlying mechanisms have become a heated subject in multiple aspects. Based on the monthly occurrence of cyanobacterial blooms at 31 monitoring stations in Lake Taihu from 2010 to 2021, combined with the data of environmental conditions such as water quality, pollutants load into the lake, and hydrometeorological factors, this study seeks to unravel the characteristics of cyanobacterial blooms in Lake Taihu in 2021, the shifting kinetics of the environmental factors, and discusses the intrinsic causes of the lower cyanobacterial bloom intensity in 2021. The results revealed that the wind speed in Lake Taihu remained stable in 2021, with an average rise of 0.5 °C in the ambient temperature. Similarly, the rainfall incidence and the total rainy days from July to August were 1.6 and 1.2 times of the average value from 2010 to 2020 respectively. Among the critical nutrients, a respective decline of 49 %, 56 %, and 78 % was recorded for the total nitrogen (TN), ammonia nitrogen (NH4+-N), and nitrate nitrogen (NO3–-N). Moreover, the random forest results evidenced that the NO3–-N, and NH4+-N were the key factors to affect the cyanobacterial density. This reduction in the nutrient levels caused by the abated nutrient loading into the lake coupled with the disproportionate rainfall and rainy days were the central causes for the obvious drop in the intensity of cyanobacterial blooms. Henceforth, the present work advocates to accelerate the robust technological application and management measures such as dual control of pollutant concentration and total amount to further reduce the nitrogen and phosphorus load to Lake Taihu

An Outlier mining-based method for anomaly detection

Conference Name:International Workshop on Anti-counterfeiting, Security, and Identification. Conference Address: Xiamen, PEOPLES R CHINA. Time:APR 16-18, 2007.In this paper, a new technology is proposed to solve anomaly detection problems of the high false positive rate or hard to build the model of normal behavior, etc. What our technology based on is the similarity between outliers and intrusions. So we proposed a new outlier mining algorithm based on index tree to detect intrusions. The algorithm improves on the HilOut algorithm to avoid the complex generation of hilbert value. It calculates the upper and lower bound of the weight of each record with r-region and index tree to avoid unnecessary distance calculation. The algorithm is easy to implement, and more suitable to detect intrusions in the audit data. We have performed many experiments on the KDDCup99 dataset to validate the effect of TreeOut and obtain good results

An intrusion detection system based on the clustering ensemble

Conference Name:International Workshop on Anti-counterfeiting, Security, and Identification. Conference Address: Xiamen, PEOPLES R CHINA. Time:APR 16-18, 2007.Intrusion detection system (IDS) is an important component of computer network security, while clustering analysis is a common unsupervised anomaly detection method. However, it is difficult for the single clustering algorithm to get the great effective detection, and the data of intrusion attacks is anomalistic normally. This paper presents an unsupervised anomaly detection system based on the clustering ensemble. The system is based on the multiple runs of K-means to accumulate evidence to avoid the false classification of anomalistic data; then using single-link to construct the hierarchical clustering tree to get the ultimate clustering result to solve the above problems. Finally, the KDD99 CUP test data is used to show that this system is greatly effective. It also compares with another IDS based on congeneric clustering algorithm to demonstrate the superiority of this system

This is an erratum to the original paper, ‘Discovery of multiple p-mode pulsation frequencies in the roAp star, HD 86181’ which was published in MNRAS, 506, 5629–5639 (2021). The authors want to make the following correction to this paper, in section 4: With the rotation period, P = 2.05 d and the estimated radius, R = 1.65 R⊙, the derived rotation velocity, v, should be 41 km s−1. The derived inclination, i, is therefore either 84○ or 30○, the derived vsin i is 41 km s−1 or 21 km s−1
