Quasilinear differential equations for the description of the space of ideal gas conditions
Today the classical thermodynamics as fundamentals of many physical sciences does not possess the finished and accurate axiomatic creation of the theory. Its many provisions and ratios are based on the empirical facts which are recognized as apriori and are not proved in terms of theoretical parcel
Investigation of the Earth Ionosphere using the Radio Emission of Pulsars
The investigation of the Earth ionosphere both in a quiet and a disturbed
states is still desirable. Despite recent progress in its modeling and in
estimating the electron concentration along the line of sight by GPS signals,
the impact of the disturbed ionosphere and magnetic field on the wave
propagation still remains not sufficiently understood. This is due to lack of
information on the polarization of GPS signals, and due to poorly conditioned
models of the ionosphere at high altitudes and strong perturbations. In this
article we consider a possibility of using the data of pulsar radio emission,
along with the traditional GPS system data, for the vertical and oblique
sounding of the ionosphere. This approach also allows to monitor parameters of
the propagation medium, such as the dispersion measure and the rotation measure
using changes of the polarization between pulses. By using a selected pulsar
constellation it is possible to increase the number of directions in which
parameters of the ionosphere and the magnetic field can be estimated.Comment: 13 pages, 4 figures, Baltic Astronomy, vol.22, 53-65, 201
An improvement of the Berry--Esseen inequality with applications to Poisson and mixed Poisson random sums
By a modification of the method that was applied in (Korolev and Shevtsova,
2009), here the inequalities
and
are proved for the
uniform distance between the standard normal distribution
function and the distribution function of the normalized sum of an
arbitrary number of independent identically distributed random
variables with zero mean, unit variance and finite third absolute moment
. The first of these inequalities sharpens the best known version of
the classical Berry--Esseen inequality since
by virtue of
the condition , and 0.4785 is the best known upper estimate of the
absolute constant in the classical Berry--Esseen inequality. The second
inequality is applied to lowering the upper estimate of the absolute constant
in the analog of the Berry--Esseen inequality for Poisson random sums to 0.3051
which is strictly less than the least possible value of the absolute constant
in the classical Berry--Esseen inequality. As a corollary, the estimates of the
rate of convergence in limit theorems for compound mixed Poisson distributions
are refined.Comment: 33 page
Fabrication of the Ni[3]Al-based alloy formed by spark plasma sintering of VKNA powders
The material based on Ni[3]Al intermetallic has been obtained from the industrial powder of a VKNA type by the method of spark plasma sintering. Materials sintering was conducted at the temperature of 1100 °С, compacting pressure of 20 MPa, and during soaking time equal to 5 minutes. The heating rate of samples amounted to 50 and 200 °С/min. It has been established that the material obtained by sintering at the rate of 50 °С/min possesses a maximum value of density (5.93 g/cm{3}) and a maximum level of bending strength (~ 400 MPa)
Ordering of small particles in one-dimensional coherent structures by time-periodic flows
Small particles transported by a fluid medium do not necessarily have to
follow the flow. We show that for a wide class of time-periodic incompressible
flows inertial particles have a tendency to spontaneously align in
one-dimensional dynamic coherent structures. This effect may take place for
particles so small that often they would be expected to behave as passive
tracers and be used in PIV measurement technique. We link the particle tendency
to form one-dimensional structures to the nonlinear phenomenon of phase
locking. We propose that this general mechanism is, in particular, responsible
for the enigmatic formation of the `particle accumulation structures'
discovered experimentally in thermocapillary flows more than a decade ago and
unexplained until now
Anomalous optical phonons in FeTe pnictides: spin state, magnetic order, and lattice anharmonicity
Polarized Raman-scattering spectra of non-superconducting, single-crystalline
FeTe are investigated as function of temperature. We have found a relation
between the magnitude of ordered magnetic moments and the linewidth of A1g
phonons at low temperatures. This relation is attributed to the intermediate
spin state (S=1) and the orbital degeneracy of the Fe ions. Spin-phonon
coupling constants have been estimated based on microscopic modeling using
density-functional theory and analysis of the local spin density. Our
observations show the importance of orbital degrees of freedom for the Fe-based
superconductors with large ordered magnetic moments, while small magnetic
moment of Fe ions in some iron pnictides reflects the low spin state of Fe ions
in those systems.Comment: 17 pages, 3 figure
Cardio-and Neuroprotective Effects of Corvitin and 2-Oxoglutarate in Rats with Pituitrin-Isoproterenol-Induced Myocardial Damage
Heart diseases, especially acute coronary syndrome (ACS), are among the most severe illnesses that often lead to death. Despitesignificant advances in the prevention and treatment of ACS, the incidence of the disease and its complications are very serious. +eimbalance between pro- and antioxidant systems, the formation of active carbonyl compounds, and the end products of glycation inthe blood and tissues are the key moments in the development of heart and neurological disorders leading to a change of behavioralresponses. So, the search for antioxidants with cardio- and neuroprotective effects is an urgent task. +is study was aimed atevaluating the effects of Corvitin and 2-oxoglutarate on physiological parameters, heart histology, and markers of carbonyl/oxidativestress of rats with pituitrin-isoproterenol-induced myocardial damage (PIMD). Increased sweating, tachycardia, significantly decreasedlocomotor and exploratory activity, changes of ECG, heart histology, and biochemical changes were observed in the PIMDgroup.+e administration of Corvitin or 2-OG led to the recovery of locomotor and cognitive activities of the rats, improvement inheart histology, a decrease in the levels of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances, advanced glycated end products, and variouschanges in the activity of the antioxidant enzymes, 6 days after PIMD. So, Corvitin and exogenous 2-OG show cardio- andneuroprotective effects through the decrease of carbonyl/oxidative stress and regulation of the activity of the antioxidant system
