Industry Profile: Seven Seas Music Founder, Brooke Wentz
Brooke is the CEO of Seven Seas Music and an award-winning music producer and supervisor. For a decade, she has led The Rights Workshop, a leading music licensing and supervision firm with film credits including “Bully,” “Melancholia,” “Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey,” and “Bill Cunningham: New York.” In 2014, Brooke married her singular knowledge and passion for world music with cutting-edge technology to found Seven Seas Music, a web-based platform where media professionals can listen to, build lists and license – with a single click – curated sounds from an astounding array of emerging and established artists in more than 150 regions. Seven Seas employs its unique library of curated international music in many high-profile television and film productions, including “Parts Unknown,” “Criminal Minds,” “VICE,” “Legions,” “Snowfall,” “Homeland” “SEAL Team,” and “Altered Carbon.” She is the author of two books on music licensing, “Hey, That’s My Music!: Music Supervision, Licensing, and Content Acquisition,” and “Music Rights Unveiled: A Filmmaker’s Guide to Music Rights and Licensing.
Design and implementation of a Windows NT network to support CNC activities
The Manufacturing, Materials, & Processes Technology Division is undergoing dramatic changes to bring it's manufacturing practices current with today's technological revolution. The Division is developing Computer Automated Design and Computer Automated Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) abilities. The development of resource tracking is underway in the form of an accounting software package called Infisy. These two efforts will bring the division into the 1980's in relationship to manufacturing processes. Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) is the final phase of change to be implemented. This document is a qualitative study and application of a CIM application capable of finishing the changes necessary to bring the manufacturing practices into the 1990's. The documentation provided in this qualitative research effort includes discovery of the current status of manufacturing in the Manufacturing, Materials, & Processes Technology Division including the software, hardware, network and mode of operation. The proposed direction of research included a network design, computers to be used, software to be used, machine to computer connections, estimate a timeline for implementation, and a cost estimate. Recommendation for the division's improvement include action to be taken, software to utilize, and computer configurations

Atomic layer deposition of titanium nitride for quantum circuits
Superconducting thin films with high intrinsic kinetic inductance are of
great importance for photon detectors, achieving strong coupling in hybrid
systems, and protected qubits. We report on the performance of titanium nitride
resonators, patterned on thin films (9-110 nm) grown by atomic layer
deposition, with sheet inductances of up to 234 pH/square. For films thicker
than 14 nm, quality factors measured in the quantum regime range from 0.4 to
1.0 million and are likely limited by dielectric two-level systems.
Additionally, we show characteristic impedances up to 28 kOhm, with no
significant degradation of the internal quality factor as the impedance
increases. These high impedances correspond to an increased single photon
coupling strength of 24 times compared to a 50 Ohm resonator, transformative
for hybrid quantum systems and quantum sensing.Comment: 10 pages, 8 figures including supplemental material
