E-learning usability studies require the involvement of real end-users. Different users with varying background of Human Computer Interaction (HCI) knowledge behave differently when using any e-learning tools. To study user behaviour in the e-learning context, an empirical usability study on a specific e-learning tool is conducted. The study is performed by using usability evaluation questionnaires collected from two different groups of real users of the tool; one group with HCI knowledge and the other without HCI knowledge. It is found that end users without HCI knowledge are more satisfied than the end-users with HCI knowledge, as they have more expectations concerning the tool. Categories and Subject Descriptors: H.5.2 [Information Interfaces and Presentation (e.g., HCI)]: User Interfaces-User-centered design, Evaluation/methodology; H 5.3 [Information Interfaces and Presentation (e.g., HCI)]: Group and Organization Interfaces-Evaluation/methodology, Web-based interaction; K.3.1 [Computers and Education]: Computer Uses in Education-Collaborative learning Keywords: E-learning usability heuristics, Blackboard, e-learning tool, Usability evaluation, HCI

This study aims to review prior literature on growth of Islamic banks in Bangladesh (IBB) to explain and analyse the role of institutional theoretical approach systematically. This research examines how the growing level of IBB requirements are fulfilled and maintained throughout the banking structure in society. The present study uses a single-case research method and uses semi-structured interviews as the primary data collection. It considers the perspectives of various stakeholder groups in the IBB. In all, 40 participants have participated in this study. In this research, normative aspects of assign institutional theory (IT) are taken into considerations. They vary in their institutional performance and thus have different levels of bias and efficiency. Researchers, therefore, attempt to outline various inadequate information resulting from the common setup in which both incumbents’ structure and banking practices rely on their IT mechanism. The study addresses the structure of the IBB and explains its identity approach, which is one of the important stakeholders. This research proposes a balanced and dominated model of banking practices as a potential solution which increases the institutional identity. This research paper significantly contributes to research on Islamic banking business practices, IT in IBB and banks stakeholders gives a better understanding of the whole growth and identity. This Journal aimed at scrutinizing the prevailing accounting standard for the banks and find out the extent of compliance by them. To find out the degree of compliance the study has gone through the annual reports of all the sample banks. Very naturally it is hoped that all of them are required to comply with the standard to uphold the stakeholders' interest. Banking industry's nature of operation is totally different .Recognizing this aspect some specific IAS (International Accounting Standard) have been prescribed for them. One of which is IAS 30(Disclosures requirements for banks and similar financial institutions). Although IAS-30 has been superseded by IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standard)-7, ICAB (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh) prescribed to comply with IFRS-7 from on or after 1st January, 2010. Hence compliance of IAS-30 is of importance here. Keywords: IAS, IFRS, Specialized banks, compliance
