Analysis Effectiveness VOIP Over MPLS-IPVPN For State Government Network

    Get PDF
The performance of the Voice over IP (VoIP) protocol is of interest when planning for public access. The technologies, which work well for limited use often, fail to scale-up to the user requirements. High-quality VoIP services are required as for the Internet communications to be an alternative towards Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). The deployment of VoIP in the Internet network does not promise a good Quality of Service (QoS), since Internet is a kind of best-effort networks. The privacy consideration is also of importance when provisioning voice services on the Internet; particularly from the business use perspective. A full study, which comes up with a definitive set of recommendations would require considerable work over a substantial period of time, however some information on the performance may be obtained by reenacting the most commonly occurring conditions in the lab to ascertain the sensitivity of the VoIP to its key QoS parameters. The aim of this project is to analyze effective VOIP technique and analyze the performance of VoIP communications by observing the QoS parameters variation with respect to the some of the pertinent communication aspects on State Government Network. The aspect chosen in this regard comprise the call signaling protocols, the networking environments, and VPN protocols. Some similar studies have also been used as a comparative measurement towards the results obtained from this research

A critical review on society’s perception on the usage of mosque

    Get PDF
The uses or functions of mosques in the modern era has significantly evolved through the years since the very first mosque ever was built by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The spread of Islam throughout the world results in the different adaptation or representation of Islam in terms of architecture and symbolism of the religion. The result of evolution of the uses and the architectural symbolism of the mosques creates a stereotypical thinking of current local societies of what mosques are all about. Back in the days, the mosque was a place for the local society to connect to one another, held religious activities and other activities related to the local community. The mosque of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) does not emphasize on the aesthetical values but emphasize more on the function and needs of the local society. Mosques in the modern era emphasizes more on the aesthetical values and grandness rather than the function and needs of the local society. The main objective of this research is to identify what are the dominant factors that affect the stereotypical thinking of local society towards the usage of the mosque and how does the aesthetic values give impacts to the thinking of the local society

Institutions and foreign direct investment (FDI) in Malaysia: empirical evidence using ARDL model

    Get PDF
Since 1990’s, institution factors have been regarded as playing important roles in stimulating foreign direct investments (FDI). However, empirical studies on their importance in affecting FDI are still lacking especially for small open economies. This paper attempts to investigate the role of institutions upon the inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) in a small open economy of Malaysia. Using bounds testing approach (ARDL model), the empirical findings reveal that there exists a long run relationship among FDI and the institution variables. Specifically, several institution variables namely government stability, bureaucracy, and corruption are found to play prominent roles in influencing the inflow of FDI. Thus, in attracting foreign investors, implementing FDI-friendly policies by providing and maintaining the quality of domestic institutions would be beneficial to Malaysian economic growth.Institutions; Foreign Direct Investment (FDI); ARDL

Air pollution modelling to predict maximum ground level concentration for dust from a palm oil mill stack

    Get PDF
The study is to model emission from a stack to estimate ground level concentration from a palm oil mill. The case study is a mill located in Kuala Langat, Selangor. Emission source is from boilers stacks. The exercise determines the estimate the ground level concentrations for dust to the surrounding areas through the utilization of modelling software. The surround area is relatively flat, an industrial area surrounded by factories and with palm oil plantations in the outskirts. The model utilized in the study was to gauge the worst-case scenario. Ambient air concentrations were garnered calculate the increase to localized conditions

Experimental design and performance analysis in plasma arc surface hardening

    Get PDF
In this paper, the experimental design by using the Taguchi method was employed to optimize the processing parameters in the plasma arc surface hardening process. The evaluated processing parameters are arc current, scanning velocity and carbon content of steel. In addition, the significant effects of the relation between processing parameters were also investigated. An orthogonal array, signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were employed to investigate the effects of these processing parameters. Through this study, not only the increasing in hardened depth and improvement in surface roughness, but the parameters that significantly affect on the hardening performance were also identified. Experimental results showed the effectiveness of this approach

Precision joining of steel-aluminum hybrid structure by clinching process

    Get PDF
An innovative technology of clinching joining can reduce the production costs, cycle times, and also offer prospective product design and manufacturing. In this study, the overlap joining of low carbon steel and aluminum alloy in clinching process was experimentally and numerically investigated. The tensile-shear strength of overlap-clinched joints was evaluated through tensile-shear test. This test was also used to study the deformation and failure of clinched joints under tensile-shear loading. The results showed that the higher press load had a great influence for achieving better interlocking between steel-aluminum hybrid structures. Insufficient interlocking and thin neck thickness led to the failure of clinched joints. Moreover, the most critical region of the clinching tool was located at the radius corner of punch and die

A genre analysis of Islamic academic research article introductions

    Get PDF
This study explores the rhetorical organization of Islamic research article introductions based on Swales’ (1990) CARS (Create a Research Space) model. Based on the model, sixty Islamic research article introductions were analyzed in terms of the move structure and linguistic features that signal the use of the move. Findings show that most of the introductions contain all the moves prescribed by the model but the introductions that strictly follow the CARS Move structure is relatively small. This suggests that most of the introductions employ the rhetorical moves proposed by the CARS model, but deviate in terms of their organization

Feature Extraction on Medical Image using 2D Gabor Filter

Mammography is a specific type of imaging that produces an X-ray picture of the human breast. Detection of tumors at an early stage is important step in diagnosis of the abnormalities in mammograms. In many of the cases, preprocessing process of the raw image involving of enhancement, filtering and determination of textural features have been necessary for successful implementation of this study. Raw image is applied histogram equalization method in order to enhance the image intensity. Thus, the noise of that image is eliminated using Gaussian filtering method. Gabor wavelet based algorithm such Gabor filter is used to extract the feature of that images
