Nueva especie de Metapyroppia Woolley, 1969 (Acari, Oribatida, Peloppiidae) del Nepal
A new species of oribatid mites of the family Peloppiidae, Metapyroppia gigantea n. sp., is described from Nepal. The genus Metapyroppia is recorded for the first time from the Oriental region. Metapyroppia gigantea n. sp. differs from the type species, Metapyroppia doratosa Woolley, 1969, by the absence of notogastral setae c2 and c3, presence of pointed rostrum and the adanal lyrifissures distanced from the anal plates. The morphology of gnathosoma and legs are presented in detail for the first time for any member of this genus.

Resurrection of the genus Micherdzinskiiobovella Hirschmann, 1989, with the description of M. petofii sp. n. from Singapore (Acari: Mesostigmata: Urodinychidae)
The genus Micherdzinskiiobovella Hirschmann, 1989 (Mesostigmata: Uropodina: UropodiÂnychidae) is resurrected for species of the Uroobovella micherdzinskii-group. This genus differs from the other taxa of the Uroobovella sensu lato based on the shape of body, the first gnathosomal setae, the peritreme and the number of the ventral setae. All species from the Uroobovella micherdzinskii-group are moved to the genus Micherdzinskiiobovella, as M. japonica (Hiramatsu et Hirschmann, 1977) comb. n., M. levigata (Hirschmann et Hiramatsu, 1990) comb. n., M. maÂkilingensis (Hirschmann et Hiramatsu, 1990) comb. n., M. mitakensis (Hiramatsu et Hirschmann, 1977) comb. n., M. pauxilla (Hiramatsu, 1981) comb. n., M. pauxillaoides (Hirschmann, 1981) comb. n., M. similimitakensis (Hirschmann, 1981) comb. n., M. topali (Hirschmann, 1981) comb. n., and M. multisetosa (Kontschán et Starý, 2011) comb. n. A new species (M. petofii sp. n.) is described, based on one female and four males collected from Singapore. The new species differs from the congeners in the length and shape of the ventral setae
Two new species of oribatid mites of the genus Xenillus (Acari, Oribatida, Liacaridae) from Bolivia
Two new species of oribatid mites of the genus Xenillus (Oribatida, Liacaridae) are described from leaf litter in a rain forest in Bolivia. Xenillus pseudobolivianus sp. n. is similar to X. bolivianus and X. neonominatus in the morphology of lamellar cusp, length of bothridial and interlamellar setae and length and morphology of dorsal notogastral setae, but differs from both by the morphology of bothridial head and interlamellar and notogastral setae, the ornamentation of the notogaster, and the different length of some notogastral setae. Xenillus amboroensis sp. n. is similar to X. amazonensis, X. disjunctus, X. diversisetosus, X. fecundus, X. longipes, and X. ornatus in the morphology of bothridial seta, but differs from all by the morphology of lamellar cusp, the placement of the lamellar seta, and the different length of some notogastral setae
A new species of Carabodes (Klapperiches) (Acari, Oribatida, Carabodidae) from Malawi, with a key to known species of the subgenus from the Afrotropical region
The family Carabodidae (Oribatida) is recorded in Malawi for the first time. A new species of the subgenus Carabodes (Klapperiches) is described from sifted litter in a highland forest of Central Malawi. Carabodes (Klapperiches) dedzaensis sp. nov. can be distinguished from the related species C. (K.) coronatus Mahunka, 1986 by the larger body size, longer and fusiform bothridial seta, flexible interlamellar seta, longer lamellar cusp, and the absence of foveolae on genital and anal plates. An identification key to known species of Carabodes (Klapperiches) from the Afrotropical region is provided
Schwendingeriella tapanensis gen. nov., sp. nov., a new remarkable representative of Uropodina mites from Thailand (Acari: Mesostigmata: Urodinychidae)
A new mite genus, Schwendingeriella gen. nov. (Mesostigmata: Uropodina: Urodinychidae), with Schwendingeriella tapanensis sp. nov. as type species, is described on the basis of 12 females and nine males collected in soil samples from Thailand. The new genus has a unique character combination which has not been previously observed within the family Urodinychidae: numerous needle-like prolongations on the anterior margin of the female genital shield; the presence of a pygidial shield; an unusual web-like structure on the dorsal shield; the wide and marginally pilose internal malae on the gnathosoma, and the palp apothele with four branches
Two new species of Galumnidae (Acari, Oribatida) from Mozambique
Two new species of the family Galumnidae are described from soil-litter in the riverine forest of Gorongosa National Park (Central Mozambique). Allogalumna mozambiquensis Ermilov sp. n. differs from all species of the genus by the morphology of bothridial seta (with the head having a long setiform tip). Neoctenogalumna gorongosaensis Ermilov sp. n. is similar to N. congoensis in the bothridial seta with developed head, specific notogastral ornamentation and narrowly elongate postanal porose area, but differs from the latter by the smaller body size, heavily ciliate bothridial seta and diagonal position of adanal lyrifissure
Taxonomic contribution to the knowledge of the oribatid mite subgenus Scheloribates (Perscheloribates) (Acari, Oribatida, Scheloribatidae)
A new species of Scheloribates (Perscheloribates) (Oribatida, Scheloribatidae) – S. (P.) oromiaensis sp. n. – is described from mosses on the swamp at the top of the mountain in Arsi Mountains National Park, Ethiopia; the new species differs from the related species S. (P.) ethiopicus by the larger body size, rounded rostrum and pedotectum II, the absence of prolamella, and the presence of aggenital seta. The taxonomic status of Perscheloribates is discussed, resulting in the supporting of it on the subgeneric level within Scheloribates. An identification key to known species of Scheloribates (Perscheloribates) from the Afrotropical region is provided
Ontogenetic instars of Phyllhermannia bimaculata Hammer, 1979 (Acari, Oribatida, Hermanniidae)
The morphology of juvenile instars (larva, proto-, deuto- and tritonymph) of the Oriental oribatid mite species Phyllhermannia bimaculata Hammer, 1979 (Oribatida, Hermanniidae) is studied, based on arboreal material from southern Vietnam. The SEM micrographs and morphological traits summarized for adults of P. bimaculata are presented. Juveniles of P. bimaculata are compared to those of other known species of the genus
New faunistical and taxonomic data on oribatid mites (Acari: Oribatida) of Ethiopia, with description of two new species of the superfamily Oripodoidea
The present study is based on oribatid mite material collected in Ethiopia in 2019. A list of identified taxa, including 11 species from 10 genera and nine families, is provided; of these, six species, four genera and two families are recorded for the first time in the fauna of this country. Two new species of the superfamily Oripodoidea are described: Pilobates wachteli n. sp. (Haplozetidae); and Zetorchella robertbecki n. sp. (Caloppiidae).Depto. de Biodiversidad, EcologÃa y EvoluciónFac. de Ciencias BiológicasTRUEpu
