    Synthesis of technetium hydride TcH1.3_{1.3} at 27 GPa

    In this work, we synthesize and investigate lower technetium hydrides at pressures up to 45 GPa using the synchrotron X-ray diffraction, reflectance spectroscopy, and ab initio calculations. In the Tc-H system, the hydrogen content in TcHx_x phases increases when the pressure rises, and at 27 GPa we found a new hexagonal (hcp) nonstoichiometric hydride TcH1.3_{1.3}. The formation of technetium hydrides is also confirmed by the emergence of a new reflective band at 450-600 nm in the reflectance spectra of TcHx_x samples synthesized at 45 GPa. On the basis of the theoretical analysis, we proposed crystal structures for the TcH0.45±0.05_{0.45 \pm 0.05} (Tc16_{16}H7_7) and TcH0.75±0.05_{0.75 \pm 0.05} (Tc4_4H3_3) phases previously obtained at 1-2 GPa. The calculations of the electron-phonon interaction show that technetium hydrides TcH1+x_{1+x} do not possess superconducting properties due to the low electron-phonon interaction parameter (λ0.23\lambda \sim 0.23)

    GENETIC ANALYSIS OF HOKKAIDO HANTAVIRUS AMONG MYODES RUFOCANUS IN THE BAIKAL LAKE AREA

    Hokkaido hantavirus (HOKV) identified originally in the grey red-backed vole (Myodes rufocanus) in Hokkaido, Japan. Subsequent studies showed different genetic lineages of HOKV in Sakhalin, Buryatia and Far Eastern regions of Russia and in China. Tissuesfrom 68 arvicolid rodents, captured in regions south and west of Baikal Lake, were initially tested for hantaviral antigen by ELISA, and tissues from antigen-positive rodents were analyzed for hantavirus RNA by RT-PCr. Taxonomic identification of host species was based on phylogenetic analysis of partial cytochrome b gene sequences. Hantavirus Land S-segment sequences were detected in two antigen-positive M. rufocanus, from the Tunka region of Buryatia Republic (south side) and the Olhon region of Irkutsk Oblast (west side). Sequence analysis showed that the newfound hantavirus strains, designated Baikal and Siberia, represented genetic variants of HOKV Previously unknown genetic variant designated Siberia was identified in M. rufocanus captured in Olhon region. Second genetic variant from Tunka region, designated Baikal, was closely related to previously described hantavirus strain from the same region. Alignment and comparison of the nucleotide and amino acid sequences showed intra-strain differences of 18,4 % and 5,3 % for the L segment and 17,4 % and 3,5 % for the S segment, respectively. Sequence divergence from geographically distant HOKV strains were 17,4-21,5 % and 3,9-6,8 % for the L segment and 15,2-17,0 % and 3,3-4,0 % for the S segment, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis, based on a 346-nucleotide region of the L segment, revealed four lineages represented by previously reported variants from Japan and Sakhalin (strains Kitahiyama128L/2008, Tobetsu35L/2010 and Sakhalin99L/1998), Shkotovo in Far-Eastern Russia (strain Khekhtsir37L/2002) and the new variants from Baikal Lake. Analysis of the N protein, coding by the S segment, identified specific amino acid signatures for YJRV of Lys5, Arg26, Val/Ile68, Val/Ala9 He262, Pro283. Conclusions: HOKV is widespread across the geographic range of its arvicolid rodent reservoir host

    Haemoptysis as Complication of Wire-Guided Pulmonary Vein Orifice Cryoballoon Ablation in Complex Anatomy: a Clinical Case Series

    Background. Cryoballoon ablation of pulmonary vein orifices is an effective measure in atrial fibrillation but associates with risks of interventional complications, including haemoptysis. The described clinical case series presents novel evidence to revisit the complication sources.Materials and methods. Four haemoptysis-complicated cryoballoon ablations of pulmonary vein orifice have been analysed retrospectively. Interventions completed in a common clinical protocol with no additional postoperative complications.Results. Fluoroscopy revealed a loop-formed balloon-supporting end of guidewire located in peripheral lower lobe of right lung. Postoperative chest computed tomography also depicted the main lung blood volume confined in right lower lobe, thus indicating pulmonary damage by the guidewire.Discussion. Pulmonary vein anatomy is diverse and can greatly sophisticate the cryoballoon ablation procedure with a peculiar balloon navigation in left atrium. An optimal pulmonary vein orifice occlusion can be attained with guidewire, albeit incurring complications in form of haemoptysis.Conclusions. The appliance advancement towards lung periphery associates with a higher risk of haemoptysis and bleeding. Perioperative haemoptysis and bleeding are most likely associated with mechanical injury to minor veins and require further investigation

Components of the model-polyads are various models of a prototype object, describing the same its properties, and the exchange of information between the components of the modelpolyads occurring without distorting the information. The examples of modelspolyads, in particular, shows that in the form of models-polyads are the algebra of geometric vectors, algebra of complex numbers, etc. There are highlights the benefits of studying the objects in the form of models-polyads, and especially in the case of training, when the objects under study are presented in a models-polyads.Рассматриваются системы моделей, называемые моделями-полиадами. Компонентами модели-полиады (в частности, модели-диады, модели-триады) являются различные модели некоторого объекта- прототипа, описывающие одни и те же его особенности, причем обмен информацией между компонентами модели-полиады, происходящий без искажения этой информации.     The problem of forecasting of a kidney cancer and a choice of a method of adjuvant treatment the advanced forms of this disease remains actual. In the given research the estimation of prognostic importance of apoptotic and proliferative markers in 66 patients with local advanсed and metastatic renal cell carcinoma has been led. Results of the work allow to conclude that the estimation of expression of these markers allows to allocate groups of patients of the high risk requiring careful supervision and treatment.

    On the loss of continuity for super-critical drift-diffusion equations

    We show that there exist solutions of drift-diffusion equations in two dimensions with divergence-free super-critical drifts, that become discontinuous in finite time. We consider classical as well as fractional diffusion. However, in the case of classical diffusion and time-independent drifts we prove that solutions satisfy a modulus of continuity depending only on the local L1L^1 norm of the drift, which is a super-critical quantity.Comment: Minor edit
