    The Effectiveness of Guided Discovery Learning to Teach Integral Calculus for the Mathematics Students of Mathematics Education Widya Dharma University

    The objectives of this research are (1) to develop Guided Discovery Learning in integral calculus subject; (2) to identify the effectiveness of Guided Discovery Learning in improving the students' understanding toward integral calculus subject. This research was quasy experimental research with the students of even semester in Mathematics Education Widya Dharma University as the sample. Cluster Random sampling was conducted to determine control group that was taught using Conventional model and experimental group that was taught using Guided Discovery Learning model. The instruments of this research included pre-test, post-test, and student's response questionnaire. The data of post-test was analyzed using T-test. The result was H0 was rejected for the level of significance The result of this data analysis found out that Guide Discovery Learning was more effective than Conventional Model. It was supported by the result questionnaire. The result of questionnaire that more than 75% questionnaire items got 67.65% positive response. It means Guided Discovery Learning can increase students' interest in joining integral calculus class

    A remarkable school – B (SLB) YRTRW Surakarta is a spesial school for children with special school for children with special needs to help provide education. According to a survey of SLB-B YRTRW Surakarta, it is difficult for students to get the names of objects right anf there are still mistakes, and it is also difficult for students to play because the learing methods are less interesting and therefore not focus on the material presented by teachers. An alternative or solution is to provide the learning media in the form of applications. The appication is called BELMA (together learning) abaout the introduction of transportation tools, Musical Instruments, and objects in the school environment for fourth-grade elementary school students. The founding of the media of education is a method for observation, analysis or problem identification,  and interviews. The result of research based on questionnaires are 87.871%, and this application can thus help the learning process. The purpose of this study is to be expected to help both tearchers and students in the learning process in class so that students can be quick to understand and enthusiastic about material delivery.Sekolah Luar Biasa-B (SLB) YRTRW Surakarta merupakan sekolah bagi anak-anak yang berkebutuhan khusus untuk membantu memberikan pendidikan awal. Berdasarkan survei terhadap SLB-B YRTRW Surakarta yaitu siswa masih sulit untuk menjabarkan nama benda dengan benar dan masih ada kekeliruan, selain itu siswa cenderung bermain dikarenakan metode pembelajaran kurang menarik sehingga tidak fokus terhadap materi yang disampaikan oleh guru. Alternatif atau solusinya yaitu dengan memberikan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk aplikasi. Aplikasi ini bernama BELMA (Belajar Bersama) mengenai pengenalan alat transportasi, alat musik, dan benda di lingkungan sekolah bagi siswa kelas empat sekolah dasar. Perancangan media pembelajaran edukasi menggunakan metode dengan melakukan observasi, analisis atau idenifikasi masalah, dan wawancara. Hasi penelitian berdasarkan kuesioner adalah 87,871%, dengan demikian aplikasi ini dapat membantu proses belajar. Tujuan penelitian diharapkan dapat membantu guru maupun siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dikelas agar siswa dapat cepat memahami dan antusias yang tinggi terhadap penyampaian materi

    Persepsi Masyarakat Pendatang Terhadap Adat Sembambanganlampung Di Lingkungan III Celikah Lampung

    The purpose of this research is to explain the public perception of immigrants to sebambangan culture of Lampung in Celikah III of Lampung Tengah Regency in 2014. The research method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method. The sample in this study is amounted 32 peoples. Data analysis used percentage. The result of research showed that: (1) the public perception of immigrants (X) is dominant in a category receive the percentage of 62%, (2) the Customs sebambangan (Y) is dominant in a category receive the percentage of 28.12%, (3) The result of research indicated there is positive relationship, significant, and high closeness category between the public perception of immigrants tosebambangan, meants more people have been understand the custom of sebambangan allow the community accept about sebambanganculture.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan persepsi masyarakat pendatang terhadap adat sebambangan budaya Lampung di lingkungan III celikah kabupaten Lampung Tengah 2014.Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif.Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 32 orang.Analisis data menggunakan presentase.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) persepsi masyarakat pendatang(X) dominan pada kategori menerima dengan persentase 62%, (2) adat sebambangan (Y) dominan pada kategori menerima dengan persentase 28,12%, (3) hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat hubungan yang positif, signifikan, dan kategori keeratan tinggi antara persepsi masyarakat pendatang terhadap adat sebambangan, artinya semakin masyarakat paham terhadap adat sebambangan memungkinkan semakin masyarakat menerima tehadap adat sebambanga

    Penerapan Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Student Team Achievement Division (Stad) Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas III SD Negeri 25 Bagan Melibur

    This research was based on the mathematics learning outcomes of students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur. There were only 13 of 24 students (54,17%) who achieve the Mastery Minimum Criteria on topic about using the measuring tool in problem solving and the learning process is still teacher centered. This research is action research which aims to increase the mathematics learning outcomes of students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur through the implentation of cooperative learning in type student team achievement division (STAD). The subject is 24 students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur which consist of 10 boys and 14 girls with the heterogenous ability level. The instruments of data collection were observation sheets and test of mathematic learning outcomes. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the test of mathematic learning outcomes was analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed that there is an improvement of the previous learning process to the first and second cycle. The result showed an increasing number of students who achieve the Mastery Minimum Criteria from the basic score with the percentage 54,17% to 75% on the first daily test and 83,33% on the second daily test. Based on that result, it can be concluded that the implentation of Cooperative Learning in type student team achievement division (STAD) can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur on second semester academic year 2014/2015

    Potensi Ekstrak Kapang Endofit Asal Rimpang Kunyit Sebagai Antimalaria Dan Antioksidan

    Malaria infection is still a public health problem, especially in developing countries, including Indonesia. Malaria infection is usually accompanied by increased free radicals in the body of the patient. This situation will cause decreasing the immune system of the patient. Explorating of new drugs that have antimalarial and also antioxidant activity is very important. Therefore, this study aims to determine in vitro antimalarial and antioxidant activity of endophytic fungi extract origin turmeric from Sukabumi. This study begins with fermentation process of endophytic fungi on the broth medium and ethyl acetate was used to extract the filtrat to gain the test extracts. Heme polymerization inhibition and free radical DPPH scavenging method were used to antimalarial and antioxidant in vitro assay respectively. The results showed that 18 isolates of endophytic fungi have antimalarial activity and one isolate inactive and also all isolates have antioxidant activity. Smi.Cl.6F isolate was the most active isolate on the antimalarial and antioxidant assay with IC50 value of each assay were 1.93 mg/mL and 32.28 mg/L respectively. Therefore, Smi.Cl.6F isolates potentially be used as new antimalarial drugs
