    The administrator, teachers and parents involvement in preschool during Movement Control Order

    The Covid-19 pandemic is affecting the whole education system including the preschoolers in Malaysia in receiving a proper teaching and learning lesson especially in the classroom. Movement Control Order (MCO) implemented by the government has restricted the act for each person in the daily life. However, the action and role that has been played by the preschool administrators, teachers and parents in ensuring the smoothness of the teaching and learning process of the preschoolers should be recognized. This study focuses on the responses and roles that have been conducted and given by the preschool management and teacher as well as parents in assisting their preschoolers children during the MCO period. This study also determined the reaction played by the preschoolers in adapting the new norm act according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) given by the government. A qualitative research design by using observation and interview based on the responses given by ten randomly chosen among preschool parents, teachers and administrators in a government preschool in Johor, Malaysia were used in this study. Phenomenology research was conducted to investigate the experience that has been gone through by the informants of the study during the MCO period. Narrative writing analysis were used to explain the outcome. This study indicated that the preschool administrators and teachers were able to collaborate and conduct an excellent code of practice according to the SOPs given by the government. Meanwhile, parents were able to establish a strong communication with the administrators and teachers by following the SOPs and assist the preschool management in ensuring their children are following the new norm acts according to the SOPs. A strong collaboration between all parties involved has shown a good example to the preschoolers during the pandemic MCO period

    Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is one of the ways for any private organisation or individual to contribute to the society as a form of giving back to the community. The services offered may vary according to the capability of the institutions involved. This include financial assistance, school supplies, expertise, skills and knowledge sharing and social work. Besides that, the idea of contributing and donating to the society is an ideal way to ease the burden of the government and local authorities. Particularly, in education sector CSR has become a great way for the organisations to expand their contribution in schools and society. There are many benefits and advantages of having the CSR programmes especially in the education development. This literature review writing explored the involvement of the organisations and individuals in helping the Malaysia education system via CSR initiatives. Scholars research findings and analysis through documents such as newspaper report are essential in promoting the CSR programmes in the country. The benefits and advantages towards the school, teachers, pupils and the local community were explained to create awareness among the society about the importance of giving back in the education sector

    Online writing task for young learners during mco: pupils and parents responses

    Malaysia Movement Control Order (MCO) has encouraged the education system to move forward in the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) usage especially to communicate, receive and sending information including tasks among educators and students. However, writing skill task for young learners is not an easy task to be carried out online without a close supervision from the teacher. Writing skills among second language learners require full attention and guidance from the teacher in the classroom especially in term of the teaching and learning of grammar rules. This study focuses on analysing and determining the effectiveness on pupils respond towards a writing task given via online. Parents involvement in guiding their child in completing their task was analysed too. A qualitative research design by using document analysis based on the responses given by twenty randomly chosen 12-year-old pupils and parents in a primary school in Johor, Malaysia were used in this study. Narrative writing analysis were used to explain the outcome. The results given by the pupils to complete the task were excellent. They managed to complete the task within the time frame given. Parents play a major role in guiding their children to use the ICT gadgets such as smartphones, computers and laptops with proper internet connection to complete and submit their task accordingly. It is hope that this paper would encourage educators, parents and pupils to adapt the new norm situation by using ICT especially in writing task that was always and only conducted in the classroom
