The Institutional Repository (IR) provides access to a vast collection of digital documents created and published by academic organisations. Institutional Repository (IR) services are provided to clients by major R& D institutions and a few academic institutes in India. Top scientists and researchers may use this institutional repository (IR) technology to submit their work, making it easier for the intended audience to obtain research papers in digital form. Institutional repositories (IRs) having gotten a lot of interest from academics from many fields and all around the world. They may have improved the public\u27s perception of academics and related institutions by raising their value creation, reputation, prestige, and visibility. Despite the importance and fast development of investigations, few people have attempted to systematically evaluate and synthesise the effects of previous projects, or to assess the present state of studies in this field. This paper\u27s main aim is to offer a better knowledge and in-depth overview of the present state of research on IRs. The work linked to institutional repositories was carefully organised using a systematic review (SLR) and a methodology. Researchers and universities may benefit from institutional repositories by improving their exposure, reputation, ranking, and public worth. Despite the potential advantages of colleges establishing institutional repositories (IRs). The institutional repository, according to this study, is an extraordinarily strong concept that may serve as a driving force for higher education institutions and, more generally, for scholarly businesses that support basic study

The keyword is a significant part of scholarly publications, which can play a vital role in information retrieval and research. Author Keywords are those provided by the original authors, and Keywords Plus are those extracted from the titles of the cited references by Thomson Reuters. Keywords Plus are those created by an automatic computer algorithm; these are words or phrases that frequently appear in the titles of an article’s references and not necessarily in the article\u27s title or as Author. The Web of Science (WoS) database is used to conduct this study. While conducting this study, a total of 654 documents were found from 1992 to 2020 in Ecocriticism. Extracted data is visualized through VOSviewer. Keywords are separated into three categories- All Keywords, Author Keywords, and Keywords Plus. Calculate the value of Overlap and Redundancy This study attempts to discern and trace out the keywords in Ecocriticism research publications

The purpose of this paper is to assess the mental health of the male and female library users of the centrally funded university libraries of Assam in Northeast India i.e., Assam University and Tezpur University. The study has been conducted in the context of library anxiety while finding information by both the category of users to identify the shortcomings in the library system and also to suggest the remedies. Survey method has been adopted to conduct the research study. A structured questionnaire has been designed and distributed among randomly selected users. The statements developed by Sharon L Bostick (1992) which is known as the Library Anxiety Scale have been applied. Library anxiety has been measured with the help of the scores proposed by Anwar, Al-Kandari, and Al-Qallaf (2004). It is evident that Library anxiety exists in both Assam University and Tezpur University. Library anxiety is more in terms of library resources and library environment. Among the gender category, library anxiety is found to be at an extreme level among female users. This research study, being the first of this kind helped in finding out the library anxiety by adopting the library anxiety scale

Integrating Natural Language Processing (NLP) with existing library framework in enhancing level of users' satisfaction

Introduction: Libraries are the storehouse of information instilling knowledge into human minds. The easy availability of information from online sources has barred users from visiting the library physically. To keep the users intact within the physical confines of a library, there is a need for libraries to evolve through the implementation of state-of-the-art techniques. Purpose- The purpose of this study is to develop a theoretical framework and conceptual background for applying natural language processing (NLP) in library and information science (LIS) to improve library services and related research. This study also aims to identify the LIS areas where NLP can use and implement one such area to provide efficient services. Research Problem- This study integrates natural language processing with the existing library framework to enhance the satisfaction level of the users. The objective- The primary objective of this study is to amalgamate natural language processing in library libraries by identifying the areas of improvement. Methodology- This study uses a conceptual paradigm by systematic observation of NLP facts in accentuating library services. This study aims to make libraries more efficient in providing dedicated resources and services to users by implementing NLP techniques. The data for this study were collected from secondary sources and analyzed to obtain meaningful insights. Findings- Considering the staggering amount of informative data that a library has to deal with, NLP can be brought to mainstream libraries to develop numerous models to provide better services to its users. NLP not only supplements library services but also helps make research more inclusive of applications such as keyword extraction, translation, and summarization. The library is a service-oriented organization, and to provide better services, NLP should be taught and implemented in information science education

This study tries to determine the current Institutional Repository (IR) scenario in the central university libraries of Assam. A systematic questionnaire for the respondents was developed to capture the primary data. The surveys were handed out or sent to the target groups, and they were returned by hand or e-mail. Many conditions must be satisfied to properly establish IRs. According to the current study, the main hurdles to IRs in central university libraries of Assam are lack of technical assistance and high-speed internet connection. Why are certain academics allowed to see their work while others are not? What would make it possible for teachers to share their knowledge resources to help knowledge societies thrive? The Open Education Resources (OER) movement promotes the free and open sharing of educational resources. This study monograph demonstrates the positive attitude towards others among higher education instructors in India, which is driven to use the resources and distribute them for altruistic motives

Purpose: This study aims to trace the impact of the NIRF ranking on research publications, with special reference to North-East Indian Universities, and to evaluate the research publications, citation, and h-index of the respective universities. Methodology: The respective universities have been selected from the list of NIRF ranking top hundred universities. Information related to research publications, citation, and h- index is retrieved from the Web of Science database. This study deals with a scientific study of ten years of research publication from the eight selected universities, five years after NIRF ranking, and five years before ranking (2011-2015 and 2016-2020). Findings: The study shows that research publications are a prime phenomenon for ranking the university and higher educational institutions. NIRF provides 70 weightage of publications and quality of publications. The study reveals that only eight universities from NE India got ranked in NIRF ranking. Tezpur University is the most prolific university in the region. The rank of universities is in a state of fluctuation year after year. The distribution of Research Publications, Citation, and h-index in the last ten years before ranking and after ranking shows that all the universities have tried to improve their scholarly output
