    Effect of Ethanol Extract of Cinnamon Bark (Cinnamomum burmanii) on the Lipid Profile and Malondialdehyde of Dyslipidemic Rats

    Dyslipidemia is a risk factor for atherosclerosis. Dyslipidemia conditions and malondialdehyde (MDAs) increased can cause oxidative stress. Cinnamon contains antioxidant compounds that have a hypolipidemic effect. This study aimed to determine the effect of cinnamon bark ethanol extract on triglycerides, total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, and MDA in dyslipidemic rats. In this study, rats were divided into five groups, a negative control group: which received standard feed, a positive control group: which received a high-fat diet and PTU, the groups that received a high-fat diet, PTU, cinnamon bark ethanol extract (EECB) 125 mg/Kg BW, 250 mg/Kg BW, 500 mg/Kg BW. The results of the analysis showed a decrease in triglyceride levels in all groups given EECB (p <0.05). Total and LDL cholesterol levels decreased in the 125 mg/Kg BW EECB group, and malondialdehyde decreased in the 500 mg/Kg BW EECB group (p <0.05). HDL levels did not increase.  The ethanol extract of cinnamon bark was able to improve lipid profiles because it contains cinnamaldehyde and quercetin that can inhibit HMG CoA reductase activity, as well as flavonoids, tannins, and cinnamate which are able to reduce triglyceride and MDA levels. Kondisi dislipidemia dan peningkatan MDA dapat menyebabkan stres oksidatif. Kayu manis mengandung senyawa antioksidan yang memiliki efek hipolipidemik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak etanol kulit kayu manis terhadap trigliserida, kolesterol total, LDL, HDL, dan malondialdehid (MDA) pada tikus dislipidemia. Pada penelitian ini tikus dibagi menjadi lima kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol negatif: yang mendapat pakan standar, kelompok kontrol positif: yang mendapat diet tinggi lemak dan PTU, kelompok yang mendapat diet tinggi lemak, PTU, kulit kayu manis. ekstrak etanol (EECB) 125 mg/Kg BB, 250 mg/Kg BB, 500 mg/Kg BB. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya penurunan kadar trigliserida pada semua kelompok yang diberikan EECB (p<0,05). Kadar kolesterol total dan LDL menurun pada kelompok EECB 125 mg/Kg BB, dan malondialdehid menurun pada kelompok EECB 500 mg/Kg BB (p<0,05). kadar HDL tidak meningkat. Ekstrak etanol kulit kayu manis mampu memperbaiki profil lipid karena mengandung cinnamaldehyde dan quercetin yang dapat menghambat aktivitas reduktase HMG CoA, serta flavonoid, tanin, dan cinnamate yang mampu menurunkan kadar trigliserida dan MDA.     This study aims to assist investors in choosing efficient and inefficient stocks, knowing which stocks have optimal returns and risks and investors knowing the CAPM method in determining the best investment decisions. CAPM is a model for estimating returns on risky securities or as a benchmark in evaluating the rate of return on an investment. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling technique, the sample was determined by the criteria, namely companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange included in the JII stock index, companies whose shares were included in the JII index consistently. The selection criteria in this study is to choose an efficient stock where the individual return is > the expected return (Ri>ERi). The results of this study indicate that there are 5 efficient company stocks, namely BRPT, BTPS, ERAA, INCO, and TPIA and 25 inefficient company shares. &nbsp
