Open Access Institutional Digital Repositories of SAARC Countries: A Webometric Analysis
This paper reveals a webometric study on the Institutional Digital Repositories (IDR) of SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) Countries. The SAARC countries include eight countries i.e. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. In this study, a selected search engine is used to find out the number of link webpages in each IDR in with different types of links. The search engine has been used to search and collect data. The data collection method extensively makes use of five special key words like site:URL/site Address, link:URL/site Address, link:URL/site Address AND site:URL/site Address, link:URL/site Address NOT site:URL/site Address and link:URL/site Address AND NOT site:URL/site Address from selected search engine. The five Boolean search statement methods used to collect data for each IDR of SAARC countries and an advanced tool SocScibot4 is used for link network visualization
Community Information Needs and Services Through Public Libraries in the Rice Bowl of Bengal\u27s : Problems and Proposals
Agricultural development in Rice Bowl is faced with new challenges and opportunities on food, nutrition, population and environment fronts. Public Libraries of Purba Bardhaman play a vital role to face these challenges by providing quick access to information. The Public libraries are conscious of improving the conditions through Community Information Centre (CIC) for fully utilizing information age technologies to collect, organize, and disseminate all types of information needed by the users they serve. Public libraries\u27 primary responsibilities include granting access to and safeguarding recorded knowledge for later use. In addition, they are in charge of disseminating necessary information to the neighborhood to aid residents in daily issue solving. One way that a public library serves the local community is through its Community Information Services (CIS). In the Purba Bardhaman area of West Bengal, the study covers the current function of public libraries, service issues, and solution suggestions for community information services. This research also covers how collaboration helps to agricultural activities for public libraries provide community information services (CIS)
Investigation of electron-atom/molecule scattering resonances using complex multiconfigurational self-consistent field method
We present a complex multicon figurational self-consistent field (CMCSCF)-
based approach to investigate electron{atom/molecule scattering resonances. A modifi ed second quantization algebra adapted for biorthogonal spin orbitals has been applied
to develop a quadratically convergent CMCSCF scheme. A new step-length
control algorithm has been introduced in order to control the walk on the complex
energy hypersurface and converge to correct CMCSCF stationary point. We have
also developed a method (M1 method) based on the multiconfigurational spin tensor
electron propagator (MCSTEP) to calculate resonance energies directly.
These methods have been applied to investigate atomic and molecular scattering
resonances. The test cases for our application were 2^P Be- and 2II_g N-_2 shape
resonances. The position and the width of these resonances have been calculated for
different complete active space choices. Convergence for CMCSCF calculations to
a tolerance of 1:0 x 10^-10 a.u. for the energy gradient is achieved typically within
ten iterations or less. The wide distribution of the values for the position and the
width of the resonance reported in the literature has been explained by showing that
there actually exists two distinct resonances which are close in energy. The resonance
positions and widths from our calculation for the 2^IIg N-_2 shape resonance have been
found to be very close to the experimental results. In another study, the effect of the
orbitals with higher angular momentum has been investigated
Isospin-phonon coupling and Fano-interference in spin-orbit Mott insulator Sr2IrO4
The isospin-phonon coupling in Sr2IrO4 is investigated by temperature
dependent phonon Raman scattering. Anomalous behavior in the frequency of all
studied optical phonons is observed below the magnetic transition temperature
TN ~240 K. The strongest effect is detected for the A1g mode at 272 cm-1
associated with the modulation of the Ir-O-Ir bond angle. Additionally, the A1g
mode at 560 cm-1 shows a Fano asymmetric lineshape sensitive to TN, supporting
the existence of low-energy (~70 meV) electronic excitations that are
renormalized by the magnetic order. These results reveal new aspects of the
interaction between the crystal lattice and electronic degrees of freedom in
this spin-orbit entangled Mott insulator.Comment: 5 pages and 6 figure
The structural and magnetic properties of (In1-xFex)2O3 (0.0 <= x <= 0.25) system : prepared by gel combustion method
(In1-xFex)2O3 polycrystalline samples with x = (0.0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20
and 0.25) have been synthesized by a gel combustion method. Reitveld refinement
analysis of X raydiffraction data indicated the formation of single phase cubic
bixbyite structure without any parasitic phases. This observation is further
confirmed by high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) imaging,
and indexing of the selected-area electron diffraction (SAED) patterns, X-ray
Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) and Raman Spectroscopy. DC Magnetization studies
as a function of temperature and field indicatethat they are ferromagnetic with
Curie temperature (TC) well above room temperature.Comment: 9 pages 3 figure
Conservation and Preservation of Manuscripts in the Nazrul Academy Town Library: A Study and Proposal for their Modernization
ABSTRACT
Presently information technology age, most of user’s are dependent on digital information, but we have to go to library for very rear and ancient information. Manuscripts are the major source of information to know about the historical facts, cultural heritage and bygone traditions of the previously. Libraries are the only safe place were preserved manuscripts, old records like hand written, poems, documents, letters etc. The manuscripts collection and preservation are influence to the human community, researcher can measure the usefulness of worth collection, who they are able to access them. The present study represents to conserve and preserve the available of manuscripts and rear documents of Kazi Nazrul Islam adopted at Nazrul Academy Town Library, West Bengal, India. The paper also highlights the present status and management of collection, services, staff strength, budget and policy of Nazrul Academy Town Library and find out the gap of awareness about the collection, which are facing many problems at the present time
Tunable induced transparency and Fano-resonance in double cavity optomechanical system
We analyze optomechanically induced Transparency and asymmetric Fano-line shape Profile in a two-mode cavity system, coupling at weak and strong coupling regimes. The model system consists of one mechanical mode and two optical modes. The transmission shows nonreciprocal behavior. Both the forward transmission and backward reflection for the system are analyzed for both optic-optic and mechanical-optic cavities by considering various system parameters. The output spectra lead to sharp asymmetric Fano-resonance and tunable transparency. Double line-shape profile is observed in the output Spectrum. Our proposal provides a new platform for application in quantum telecommunications and a photonic device like optical Switches
