Ökofeminizmus

Az ökofeminizmus társadalmi és természeti folyamatok interakciójával foglalkozik. Legfontosabb tétele, hogy az uralkodó globális gazdasági berendezkedésben a társadalom és a természet közti viszony alapvetően nemi meghatározottságú – materiális és ideológiai értelemben is. A gondoskodási munkát végző nők többsége történetileg olyan munkaerőként jelent meg, amely az emberiség és a természet egymásra hatásának ontológiai határpontján végzi tevékenységét; ugyanez igaz azokra a gazdálkodó és erdőlakó férfiakra és nőkre is, akik a posztkoloniális régiókban élnek és akik névlegesen a tőkeviszonyokon kívül helyezkednek el. A gyári vagy irodai munkát végzőkkel ellentétben ezek a kulturálisan sokszínű csoportosulások átlátják a biológiai áramlatokat és fenntartják az anyag−energia cserefolyamatokat a természetben. A globális tőke egész termodinamikai gépezete azokon a materiális tranzakciókon nyugszik, amelyeket ez az elhallgatott metaindusztriális osztály közvetít. A természettel együtt fejlődő bonyolult rendszerek ezen életigenlő képviselői a kapitalizmus alternatíváit kínálják

El pluriverso, horizontes para una transformación civilizatoria

Este artículo expone una crítica al oxímoron del 'desarrollo sostenible', y también los detalles y el potencial de una agenda de investigación postdesarrollista para una transformación civilizatoria. Presentamos y discutimos tres ejemplos de alternativas al desarrollo: Swaraj Ecológico de la India, Buen Vivir del mundo indígena amazónico y andino de Latinoamérica, y Decrecimiento de Europa. Estos ofrecen pistas sobre nuestro libro titulado Pluriverso: Un diccionario del postdesarrollo (Icaria, 2019), que aspira a profundizar y ampliar una agenda de investigación, diálogo y acción para activistas, responsables de políticas y académicos, sobre diversas visiones del mundo y prácticas relacionadas con la búsqueda colectiva hacia un mundo ecológicamente sabio y socialmente justo. Este volumen puede servir como base en la búsqueda de alternativas a la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible propuesta por las Naciones Unidas, en un intento de transformar verdaderamente el mundo. De hecho, es una agenda hacia el 'Pluriverso': 'un mundo donde quepan muchos mundos', en palabras del Movimiento Zapatista

Green Economy or Green Utopia: The Salience of Reproductive Labor Post-Rio+20

Sociologists use the concept of class variously to explain and predict people's relation to the means of production, their earnings, living conditions, social standing, capacities, and political identification. With the rise of capitalist globalization, many sociologists focus on the transnational ruling class and new economic predicaments faced by industrial workers in the world-system (see, for example, Robinson and Harris 2000). Here I will argue that to understand and respond to the current global environmental crisis, another major class formation should be acknowledged - one defined by its materially regenerative activities under "relations of reproduction" (Salleh 2010)

Post-development : From the Critique of Development to a Pluriverse of Alternatives

This chapter lays out both the critique of the oxymoron sustainable development as well as the potential and nuances of a post-development agenda. Post-development is generally meant as an era or approach in which development would no longer be the central organizing principle of social life. We highlight the contribution by Joan Martinez Alier with an ecological critique to development and his work on the global movement for environmental justice to show that activists should be considered as theory and knowledge producers in their own right. We then propose to deepen and widen a research, dialogue and action agenda for activists, policy makers and scholars on a variety of worldviews and practices relating to our collective search for an ecologically wise and socially just world. This could be one base in the search for alternatives to United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in an attempt to truly 'transforming the world'. In fact, it is an agenda towards the pluriverse: 'a world where many worlds fit', as the Zapatista say
