Scalar Sector in the Minimal Supersymmetric 3-3-1 model
We consider the minimal supersymmetric extension of the 3-3-1 model and we
study the mass spectra in the scalar sector of this model without the
anti-sextet. We show that all our lighest scalars are in agreement with the
experimental limits.Comment: It was included on the introduction of the article the motivation to
> study the model, and we moved the sections 4.1 and 4.2 to the appendix. It
has 22 pages, 9 figures. It was accepted to be published at International

Role of the meson in photoproduction off the deuteron
Neutral kaon photoproduction off the nucleon and deuteron has been
reinvestigated by utilizing the new experimental data on both targets. An
isobar model for elementary operator and impulse approximation for the reaction
on the deuteron have been used. The available free parameters in the elementary
model have been extracted from both elementary and deuteron data. In contrast
to the elementary reaction, fitting the deuteron data requires an inclusion of
weighting factor. The result indicates that the angular distribution of the
elementary process does not show backward peaking behavior.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures, prepared for the Fifth Asia-Pacific Conference on

Extending QCD perturbation theory to higher energies
On the basis of the results of a new renormalisation group improved small-x
resummation scheme, we argue that the range of validity of perturbative
calculations is considerably extended in rapidity with respect to leading log
expectations. We thus provide predictions for the energy dependence of the
gluon Green function in its perturbative domain and for the resummed splitting
function. As in previous analyses, high-energy exponents are reduced to
phenomenologically acceptable values. Additionally, interesting preasymptotic
effects are observed. In particular, the splitting function shows a shallow dip
in the moderate small-x region, followed by the expected power increase.Comment: 12 pages, 4 figures. Expanded some discussions, clarified a figure,
added some references. Version to appear in Phys. Lett.
Vector boson mass generation without new fields
Previously a model of only vector fields with a local U(2) symmetry was
introduced for which one finds a massless U(1) photon and a massive SU(2)
vector boson in the lattice regularization. Here it is shown that quantization
of its classical continuum action leads to perturbative renormalization
difficulties. But, non-perturbative Monte Carlo calculations favor the
existence of a quantum continuum limit.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, 2 tables. Revised after referee reports. One

Arnold diffusion in the dynamics of a 4-machine power system undergoing a large fault
We focus on the seemingly complicated dynamics of a four-machine power system which is undergoing a sudden fault. Adopting a Hamiltonian (energy) formulation, we consider the system as an interconnection of (one degree of freedom) subsystems. Under certain configuration (a star network) and parameter values we establish the presence of Arnold diffusion which entails periodic, almost periodic, and complicated nonperiodic dyanmics all simultaneously present; and erratic transfer of energies between the subsystems. In section 1 we introduce the transient stability problem in a mathematical setting and explain what our results mean in the power systems context. Section 2 provides insights into Arnold diffusion and summarizes its mathematical formulation as in [8], [1]. Section 3 gives conditions for which Arnold diffusion arises on certain energy levels of the swing equations. These conditions are verified analytically in the case when all but one subsystem (machine) undergo relatively small oscillations
The unit of electric charge and the mass hierarchy of heavy particles
We propose some empirical formulae relating the masses of the heaviest
particles in the standard model (the W,Z,H bosons and the t quark) to the
charge of the positron and the Higgs condensate v. The relations for the
masses of gauge bosons m_W = (1+e)v/4 and m_Z=sqrt{(1+e^2)/2}*(v/2) are in
excellent agreement with experimental values. By requiring the electroweak
standard model to be free from quadratic divergencies at the one-loop level, we
find: m_t=v/sqrt{2} and m_H=v/sqrt{2e}, or the very simple ratio (m_t/m_H)^2=e.Comment: 6 page
Pengaruh Sinetron “Anak Jalanan” Terhadap Perilaku Remaja Di Kota Samarinda
This research aims at (1) identifying the effects of watching electronic cinema of “Anak Jalanan” to teenagers and identifying factors that lead teenagers to imitate behaviours posed by actress and actors on the electronic cinema of “Anak Jalanan”. Method applied in this research is qualitative-descriptive. Five teenagers ranging from thirteen to fifteen of age are involved in several deep interview sessions while additional subjects from parents and teachers are also involved to gain more data. All subjects in this research are selected through snowball sampling technique. Findings suggest that negative behaviour among teenagers in Samarinda such as untidy style of clothing, using impolite style of speaking, and depicting aggressive behaviour are partially the result of watching cinema electronic of “Anak Jalanan”. Such negative behaviours relates closely to factors like (1) teenager\u27s need for idol\u27s figure, (2) lack of parental guidance during TV sessions at home, and (3) the nature of the cinema electronic itself that contains many negative contents
