Atmospheric neutrino flux at INO, South Pole and Pyh\"asalmi
We present the calculation of the atmospheric neutrino fluxes for the
neutrino experiments proposed at INO, South Pole and Pyh\"asalmi. Neutrino
fluxes have been obtained using ATMNC, a simulation code for cosmic ray in the
atmosphere. Even using the same primary flux model and the interaction model,
the calculated atmospheric neutrino fluxes are different for the different
sites due to the geomagnetic field. The prediction of these fluxes in the
present paper would be quite useful in the experimental analysis.Comment: 12Pages,9Fig

Secure communication using dynamic VPN provisioning in an Inter-Cloud environment
Most of the current cloud computing platforms offer Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) model, which aims to provision basic virtualised computing resources as on-demand and dynamic services. Nevertheless, a single cloud does not have limitless resources to offer to its users, hence the notion of an Inter-Cloud enviroment where a cloud can use the infrastructure resources of other clouds. However, there is no common framework in existence that allows the srevice owners to seamlessly provision even some basic services across multiple cloud service providers, albeit not due to any inherent incompatibility or proprietary nature of the foundation technologies on which these cloud platforms are built. In this paper we present a novel solution which aims to cover a gap in a subsection of this problem domain. Our solution offer a security architecture that enables service owners to provision a dynamic and service-oriented secure virtual private network on top of multiple cloud IaaS providers. It does this by leveraging the scalability, robustness and flexibility of peer- to-peer overlay techniques to eliminate the manual configuration, key management and peer churn problems encountered in setting up the secure communication channels dynamically, between different components of a typical service that is deployed on multiple clouds. We present the implementation details of our solution as well as experimental results carried out on two commercial clouds

Dynamic virtual private network provisioning from multiple cloud infrastructure service providers
The Cloud infrastructure service providers currently provision basic virtualized computing resources as on demand and dynamic services but there is no common framework in existence that allows the seamless provisioning of even these basic services across multiple cloud service providers, although this is not due to any inherent incompatibility or proprietary nature of the foundation technologies on which these cloud platforms are built. We present a solution idea which aims to provide a dynamic and service oriented provisioning of secure virtual private networks on top of multiple cloud infrastructure service providers. This solution leverages the benefits of peer to peer overlay networks, i.e., the flexibility and scalability to handle the churn of nodes joining and leaving the VPNs and can adapt the topology of the VPN as per the requirements of the applications utilizing its intercloud secure communication framework
Color Fields on the Light-Shell
We study the classical color radiation from very high energy collisions that
produce colored particles. In the extreme high energy limit, the classical
color fields are confined to a light-shell expanding at and are associated
with a non-linear -model on the 2D light-shell with specific symmetry
breaking terms. We argue that the quantum version of this picture exhibits
asymptotic freedom and may be a useful starting point for an effective
light-shell theory of the structure between the jets at a very high energy

Concept for a Web Map Implementation with Faster Query Response
Vector data and in particular road networks are being used in many application domains such as in mobile computing. These systems would prefer to receive the query results very quickly. Lots of research is going on to make the query response faster. One technique is to compress vector data so that they can be transferred to the client quickly. If we look different compression technique that are used to make the response faster, we will see that some of them do not make the response fast enough and some of them make response fast but very complex to implement. We report the concept for the implementation of a web map with a simple compression technique to send query response to the client, and found it making response fast. We have used some open source/free components to make the development quick and easy. This paper may work as a guide line for quick implementation of a web map. Invistigating the effects of frp bars on the seismic behavior of reinforced concrete coupling beams
Sometimes, it is necessary to install regular openings like windows or doors in the shear walls. Such openings require special reinforcement. There are several methods for reinforcing deep beams, one of which is the use of fiber reinforced polymer bars. In this study, an experimental work on a coupled shear wall has been used to mode the system by using finite element method with ABAQUS software. The finite element model was established based on part of the experimental study and verified with the other parts of the experimental results. The comparison shows good agreement. In the study, three different types of fiber reinforced polymer bars were considered in improving the mechanical and structural behavior of RC coupling beams. Results of the finite element analysis showed the superiority of the CFRP bars in improving seismic behavior of the coupled shear wall comparing to GFRP and BFRP
Theoretical study of lepton events in the atmospheric neutrino experiments at SuperK
Super-Kamiokande has reported the results for the lepton events in the
atmospheric neutrino experiment. These results have been presented for a 22.5kT
water fiducial mass on an exposure of 1489 days, and the events are divided
into sub-GeV, multi-GeV and PC events. We present a study of nuclear medium
effects in the sub-GeV energy region of atmospheric neutrino events for the
quasielastic scattering, incoherent and coherent pion production processes, as
they give the most dominant contribution to the lepton events in this energy
region. We have used the atmospheric neutrino flux given by Honda et al. These
calculations have been done in the local density approximation. We take into
account the effect of Pauli blocking, Fermi motion, Coulomb effect,
renormalization of weak transition strengths in the nuclear medium in the case
of the quasielastic reactions. The inelastic reactions leading to production of
leptons along with pions is calculated in a - dominance model by
taking into account the renormalization of properties in the nuclear
medium and the final state interaction effects of the outgoing pions with the
residual nucleus. We present the results for the lepton events obtained in our
model with and without nuclear medium effects, and compare them with the Monte
Carlo predictions used in the simulation and the experimentally observed events
reported by the Super-Kamiokande collaboration.Comment: 23 pages, 13 figure
