    The analysis of lead (Pb) and iron (Fe) have been done in Taipa's sea water. The objective is to determine the level of lead and iron metals using spectrophtometry method. The sea water samples were taken in the morning and afternoon at three different places. The distance of 3 samples are approximately 5 m, 10 m, and 15 m from the harbour and about 5 m from the seashore. The result of the analysis level of lead and iron metals from 3 points for lead taken in the morning, point A is 0.919 mg/L, point B is 0.703 mg/L, and point C is 0.810 mg/L. While, taken in the afternoon, the lead level point A is 0.729 mg/L, point B is 0.837 mg/L, and point C is 0.729 mg/L. For the iron level taken in the morning, point A is 0.394 mg/L, point B is 0.546 mg/L, and point C is 0.324 mg/L. Meanwhile, in the afternoon the iron level, point A is 0.449 mg/L, point B is 0.365 mg/L, and point C is 0.504 mg/L. The concentration of lead metal in the sea water is in range 0.703 mg/L – 0.919 mg/L. The concentration is higher than limit ranges value of lead metal 0.025 mg/L. The concentration of iron metal in the sea water of Taipa's harbor is about 0.324 mg/L – 0.546 mg/L. It's concentration is higher than limit for value iron metal 0.01 mg/L

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa Kelas V SDN Inpres Pandaluk materi gaya gravitasi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Ipres Pandaluk dan guru, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi guru dan siswa serta evaluasi hasil belajar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Inpres Pandaluk yang berjumlah 16 orang. Proses penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan 2 siklus, yang meliputi tahapan sebagai berikut : (1) perencanaan (2) pelaksanaan (3) observasi (4) refleksi.Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan metode diskusi, maka hasil belajar pada siklus (I) cukup baik dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata kelas 65,72 dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal 62,5% dan pada siklus (II) hasil yang diperoleh sangat baik dengan perolehan rata-rata kelas 75,6 dan ketuntasan secara klasikal 87,5%. Dengan demikian , penerapan metode diskusi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswapada kelas V SDN Ipres Pandaluk pada materi gaya gravitasi

    Guava's bark contains tannin compound that can be used as an adsorbent. The purpose of thisstudy was to determine the optimum conditions of the adsorption of iron by the bark and its maximumabsorption capacity. The study was conducted by mass variation of bark for iron metal adsorption.The measurement of iron concentration which was not absorbed by the bark was conducted byatomic absorption spectrophotometer. The results showed that the adsorbent mass of 2.5 grams canabsorb 1.93mg/g with percent absorbance of 48.34%, and the maximum absorption capacity of ironlost at 4.98mg/g

    Pengaruh Konsentrasi Ekstrak Tanaman Meniran (Phillanthus Niruri L.) dalam Melarutkan Kalsium

    Research on the solubility of calcium has been conducted using meniran (phillanthus niruri L.) plant extracts by varying concentrations. This research was conducted by laboratory experiments using meniran plant extracts as samples in dissolving calcium phosphate as a substitute for kidney stones. Meniran is a type of acidic herbal plant extract which contains flavonoids and potassium, so it can dissolve calcium. This study was conducted to determine the most effective concentration of meniran plant extracts from the variation concentration (2%, 4%, 6%, 8% and 10%) in dissolving calcium, and also to determine the effectiveness of this extract compared to Batugin Elixir and distilled water. Determination of the concentration of dissolved calcium in meniran plant extracts was done by a flame photometer. The results showed concentration of 10% of meniran plant extract was effective in dissolving calcium whichwas equal to 46.1 ppm. However, Batugin Elixir was more effective in dissolving calcium with a concentration equal to 58.2 ppm, while distilled water can dissolve the calcium only equal to 4.8 ppm

    Penerapan Pendekatan Resource Based Learning Pada Materi Energi Dan Perubahannya Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas IV SD Inpres Cendanapura

    Penelitian untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar telah dilakukan melalui penerapan pendekatan resource based learning pada materi Energi dan Perubahannya. Salah satu penyebab rendahnya pemahaman konsep IPA diakibatkan oleh pendekatan pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru selama proses belajar mengajar yang kurang tepat sehingga siswa cenderung bersifat pasif. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 17 orang siswa Kelas IV SD Inpres Cendanapura. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi aktifitas siswa dan guru dalam pembelajaran, tes hasil belajar, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas siswa dan guru pada proses pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Hasil wawancara pada siklus I dan siklus II menunjukkan bahwa siswa senang dengan pendekatan resource based learning yang diterapkan oleh peneliti. Hasil tes juga menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan sebesar 17% ketuntasan klasikal dari 65% pada siklus I menjadi 82% pada siklus II. Daya serap klasikal meningkat sebesar 8% dari 71% pada siklus menjadi 79% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil ini maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan resource based learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar materi Energi dan Perubahannya pada siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Cendanapura

    Studi Perbandingan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw dan NHT (Numbered Head Together)Terhadap Hasil Belajar Stoikiometri Siswa Kelas X SMAN 8 Palu

    The aim of this study is to compare the learning outcomes of student in SMA Negeri 8 Palu using the cooperative learning model between jigsaw and NHT (numbered head together) on the stoichiometry. This research using a quasi-experimental design with factorial 2 x 2. The population of this study is all student of class X SMA 8 Palu with academic year 2015/2016 which consists of four classes. The sample of this study consists of two classes, namely class XB with amount of 16 students (experimental class) and class XC with amount of 17 students (control class) which was determined by purposive sampling. Data was collected by using test instruments, namely an achievement test that contains the stoichiometry material. The examination of data was conducted by using statistical analysis t-test two sides and one side (right side) non-parametric or Mann-Whitney U test. The average score of the learning outcomes of student by using the jigsaw type was (78.00; SD = 13.63), and by using NHT type was (70.47; SD = 16.51). Based on statistical analysis of the hypothesis test for two sides, it was obtained a value of 0.195 Asymp sig (2-tailed) and was obtained a value 0.204 Exact Sig (1-tailed) of 0.204, both of datas were at the rejection area of H0 which was a significance value greater than 0.05 (P> 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that there was a difference in learning outcomes using the cooperative model jigsaw type with NHT type, furthermore the type of jigsaw better than the NHT on the learning outcomes of students of stoichiometry in class X SMA Negeri 8 Palu

    The aim of this study is to determine the learning outcomes of students in the class which is treated with the cooperative learning model Jigsaw whether it is better than the untreated class on chemical equilibrium topic. This study is a quasi-experimental research design with Non Randomized Pretest- posttest control group design. The population in this study is 245 students of class XI MIA with academic year 2014/2015, from 8 classes. The sample in this study class XI MIA 5 (n = 32) as an experimental class while class XI MIA 6 (n = 32) as a control class. The analysis of data obtained in the experimental class, X1 1 valueis 79.66 with a standard deviation = 9.41. In the control class, X2 valueis 70.03 with a standard deviation = 11.13. The result of hypothesisis found that tcalculated>ttable (5.53 > 1.67) with a significance level (α = 0.05) and degrees of freedom = 62. This shows that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes in class which is treated using the cooperative learning model Jigsaw is better than the untreated class on chemical equilibrium topic

    Learning on teacher centered learning chemistry, causing the interest and creativity of the students do not develop. This condition contributes to the low of students learning outcomes. Students learning outcomes will be better is students experience for themselves what really happened. Therefore we need a method of teaching which is one oriented to students. This study uses a model of cooperative learning TSTS which is one method of teaching. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the application of the cooperative learning model TSTS on the subject of the periodic table of the learning outcomes of students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Dampelas. The study population was all students in the class X SMA Negeri 1 Dampelas academic year 2012/2013 consisting of six classes. The study sample consisted of two classes, namely class XA 32 students as the experimental class and the class XF 32 students as the class control are determined by purposive sampling. Results of analysis of data obtained for the mean score on the experiment class X1 = 76.50 with a standard deviation = 12.18 and the control class X2 = 57.81 with a standard deviation = 16.26. Based on the hypothesis testing results obtained tcounting = 5.21 and ttable = 2.00 at α = 0.05. In this case H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected, because tcounting is in the rejection of Ho. It can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model TSTS on the subject of periodic system of elements had a positive effect on learning outcomes of students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Dampelas
