    Perspectives of using sodium alginate with different molecular weight in the complex cancer therapy

    The article presents the results of screening research of influence of sodium alginate with different molecular weight on the development of transplantable tumor in mice and the effectiveness of cytostatic treatment. It was determined that sodium alginates with both high (М = 403 kDa) and low (M = 1-10 kDa and M = 1 kDa) molecular weight suppress growth of Ehrlich ascites carcinoma; using sodium alginate (M = 20-30 kDa) in the scheme of chemotherapy increases effectiveness of treatment. Alginates with low molecular weight arrest development of dissemination of Lewis lung carcinoma and sodium alginates (M = 403 kDa and M = 20-30 kDa) in combination with cyclophosphan increase its antimetastatic effect

    Research of viscous characteristics of soya lecithin solutions

    The viscosity properties of aqueous solutions of soya lecithin, which is a component of dosage forms and has a wide range of functions for a living organism, were studied. The viscometric and pycnometric measurement methods were used in laboratory studies. The study showed that the concentration dependences of the relative viscosity of aqueous solutions of soya lecithin at a concentration not exceeding 2% are described by the Einstein’s equation adjusted for the magnitude and physical meaning of the coefficients. The relative viscosity of such solutions is practically independent of temperature in the range from 8Β°C to 30Β°C. The temperature begins to play a significant role in changing the system viscosity at a soya lecithin concentration above 5%.     As low as possible radioactive contamination of a detector plays a crucial role to improve sensitivity of a double beta decay experiment. The radioactive contamination of a sample of 116^{116}CdWO4_4 crystal scintillator by thorium was reduced by a factor β‰ˆ10\approx 10, down to the level 0.01 mBq/kg (228^{228}Th), by exploiting the recrystallization procedure. The total alpha activity of uranium and thorium daughters was reduced by a factor β‰ˆ3\approx 3, down to 1.6 mBq/kg. No change in the specific activity (the total Ξ±\alpha activity and 228^{228}Th) was observed in a sample of ZnWO4_4 crystal produced by recrystallization after removing β‰ˆ0.4\approx 0.4 mm surface layer of the crystal.Comment: 14 pages, 5 figures and 2 table

    Aim. To develop the protocols for liver and kidney tissue decellularization, and to develop an analysis of the proliferative activity of human Hep-G2 hepatocarcinoma cells on various carriers.Materials and methods. Decellularization of the liver and kidneys was performed by perfusion of detergent solutions with gradually increasing concentrations of Triton X-100 (1, 2 and 3%). A histological analysis of the obtained samples was performed, and the method of optical and scanning electron microscopy was used to study the obtained samples. The proliferative activity of human Hep-G2 hepatocarcinoma cells was studied on the obtained samples of decellularized liver and kidney tissue.Results. Decellularization of the organ does not lead to changes in the specific structure of the tissue matrix. Microparticles with an average size of 200 ΞΌm were made from their decellularized matrix of liver and kidney tissues. The level of proliferative activity of human Hep-G2 hepatocarcinoma cells cultured on microparticles from a decellularized liver was significantly higher than on microparticles from a decellularized kidney.Conclusion. The decellularized matrix retains the native three-dimensional structure of the tissue. The level of cell proliferative activity is significantly higher on microparticles from the decellularized liver, which confirms the preservation of the specificity of the extracellular matrix of the tissue after the process of decellularization.ЦСль.     Objective: to develop a method for obtaining scaffolds based on natural silk fabric and to study their biocompatibility in vitro. Materials and methods. To obtain biodegradable scaffolds based on natural silk fabric, weΒ propose treating natural silk fabric with a water-ethanol solution of calcium chloride. Differences in the structureΒ of the resulting scaffolds were identified via scanning electron microscopy. Conclusion. The resulting scaffoldsΒ are non-toxic to cells and support cell adhesion and proliferation.     Purpose: to evaluate the efficiency and tolerance of drops replacing tear with hyaluronic acid 0.15% (Hylabak, thea, France) for the treatment of tear film diseases, in particular blepharoconjunctival form of dry eye syndrome.Methods: 32 patients (range 38 to 72 years) with blepharoconjunctival form of dry eye syndrome were treated lubricant Hylabak 2-4 times a day during 7-30 days.Results: After treatment was detected the elimination of complaints in 30 of 32 people, increasing the stability of the tear film (increasing values of the samples Norn test from 7.3 Β±0.5 to 10.1Β±0.6 seconds), as well as normalization of Schirmer test (from 8.8Β±0.4 to 15.2Β±0.5 mm).Conclusion: the study was showed high efficacy of lubricant Hylabak and subjective tolerability at blepharoconjunctival form ofΒ dry eye syndrome

    The physical-mathematical model of the thermal state of the aired technical underground taking into account the air exchange and design features of construction under permanent frozen soil conditions has been suggested. The computational scheme of the temperature fields prediction of building envelopes of projected buildings and soil under and nearby buildings has been developed. The numerical simulation of the temperature fields of building envelopes changes was conducted during a year. The results of the numerical simulation showed that the heat coming from the technical undergrounds and through the walls does not influence the temperature field of the soil neither under a building nor at a distance from it
