© 2015 I.E. Pleshchinskaya, N.B. Pleshchinskii and I.V. Sabirov. It has been proved that the electromagnetic wave diffraction problem by bi-periodical grating of thin conductive strips can have only one solution. Therefore, only Floquet wave can appear by the diffraction of the plane wave by the grating. The diffraction problem is reduced to regular infinite set of linear algebraic equations by method of integral- summatorial identities

Structure-property relations of metallic materials with multiscale microstructures

Nanostructured metals have higher strength than those of the coarse grained metals but suffer from the extremely limited ductility. Development of the multiscale microstructures can improve the ductility of these high strength materials due to the introduction of a specific range of grain sizes in micro level. The present work relates the multiscale microstructures in metals to their overall structure properties using a fractal theory and the modified mean-field method, where three microstructural parameters are introduced and thus mechanical properties such as strength and ductility are presented as a function of these microstructural parameters. Meanwhile, with the applications of the finite element method, the multiscale unit cell approach is also critically developed and applied with a focus on predicting the related stress-strain relations of the metals with multiscale microstructures. For verification of these proposed theoretical and numerical algorithms, the mechanical properties of the pure copper with three-grain microstructures are investigated and the results from FEA and theoretical solutions have a reasonable agreement

Influence of maternal hemoconcentration on fetal development

This paper deals with the modern views on the rheological properties of blood in pregnant women and their effect on placental blood flow, fetal growth and development. Physiological role of hemodilution was determined during the second trimester of pregnancy. We have presented our own data on gestation process and perinatal outcomes in women with elevated blood concentration indices. It was found that the most typical complication in such cases is a fetal growth retardation, being detected in 40% of cases. It has been shown that the pathophysiological mechanism of this condition is based on the increased viscosity of blood in the small vessels and on disorders of microcirculatory blood flow. The rationality of the therapy aimed at improving the rheological properties of blood has been proved. In particular, pregnant women with high hemoglobin indices in the second trimester are recommended to take Dipyridamole

© Serials Publications. The article explores the acute and urgent problem of modern civilization – the problem of violence against women in the context of the most important issues of culture and sociology of society. The key aspect of the authors’ interest is the development of ways to resolve the emerging contradictions. Alongside the consideration of gender issues, the method of axiological analysis is applied. The first section of the article is devoted to the study of the problem as a whole and to a systematic review of the main methods of scientific analysis that are applied. The most complete and adequate vision of the problem of violence is provided by the synthesis of data received by natural medical and humanitarian sciences. The research of the problem of spiritual healing that plays one of the decisive roles in counteracting the phenomenon of violence against a woman in society is introduced through the study of the extensive historical and literary material. The second section provides the necessary insight into the issue by involving the data of Russian literary culture genesis. It is focused on ancient Russian literature and its traditions in the following epochs (from Alexander Pushkin to Fyodor Dostoyevsky and a number of other writers). The methodological dominant of this stage is the value approach. The subsequent third section of the article is linked with the second section by the methodology of comparative-typological analysis. A set of the 18 th – 21 st centuries’ social theories of violence as a painful and negative phenomenon in the socio-cultural sphere of society is considered here. A species within this complex process is violence against a woman. One of the most radical solutions to the most acute social problem of violence against women is the concept of feminism. The next special part of the article is a systematic review of the main stages of the research approbation. The final fifth section of the article is a set of the proposed recommendations and perspectives. They are connected with the applied tasks of social medicine and with the general moral and cultural orientations of modern society through the concepts of upbringing and education

© 2015, Mediterranean Center of Social and Educational Research. All rights reserved. In the conditions of rapid growth of service industries and, above all, business services, the importance of advisory services (consulting) is steadily enhancing for the domestic economy and the growth of its competitiveness. The article analyzes the basic processes occurring in the modern Russian market of consulting services, the trends and patterns of its development, including the growing processes of concentration and centralization, the underdevelopment of market institutions, the lack of legislation regulating this market segment, structural defects associated with the excessive income growth of the management consulting. All this allowed us to draw some important conclusions about the unstable and contradictory nature of the development of the domestic market of consulting, the deformation of its structure and the absence of the state policy in the sphere of regulation of the consulting services market, and to develop recommendations for its stabilization, including the improvement of legislation in the field of intellectual property, the expansion and strengthening of the foreign economic positions of the consulting companies in Russia, the efficiency improvement of their participation in the international division of labor. The article is intended for students studying methods of conducting marketing research on the market of consulting services, teachers of the discipline "Marketing in services", "Consulting" as well as for marketing managers and managers of consulting companies elaborating strategies for their development

PHYSICAL SIMULATION OF COLD ROLLING OF ULTRA-FINE GRAINED AL 5083 ALLOY TO STUDY MICROSTRUCTURE EVOLUTION

Abstract. Recent investigations have demonstrated that ultra-fine grained (UFG) Al 5xxx alloys have a significant potential for industrial applications due to their enhanced mechanical and functional properties. The Al 5xxx alloys often have to undergo hot/cold rolling metalforming operations for fabrication of near-net shape products since they are widely used in form of sheets in marine, transport, and chemical engineering. The development of hot/cold rolling routes for the UFG metallic materials are very expensive due to much higher cost of the UFG metallic materials and time consuming due to numerous experimental trials. The objective of this work is to perform physical simulation of cold rolling of the UFG Al 5083 alloy obtained via equal channel angular pressing with parallel channels and to analyze the effect of cold rolling on the microstucture and microhardness of the material. It is demonstrated that physical simulation of metalforming processes for the UFG metallic materials can significantly reduce the amount of material required for development of processing routes and increase the efficiency of experimental work

Evolution of microstructure, macrotexture and mechanical properties of commercially pure Ti during ECAP-conform processing and drawing

Long-length ultrafine-grained (UFG) Ti rods are produced by equal-channel angular pressing via the conform scheme (ECAP-C) at 200 °C, which is followed by drawing at 200 °C. The evolution of microstructure, macrotexture, and mechanical properties (yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, failure stress, uniform elongation, elongation to failure) of pure Ti during this thermo-mechanical processing is studied. Special attention is also paid to the effect of microstructure on the mechanical behavior of the material after macrolocalization of plastic flow. The number of ECAP-C passes varies in the range of 1–10. The microstructure is more refined with increasing number of ECAP-C passes. Formation of homogeneous microstructure with a grain/subgrain size of 200 nm and its saturation after 6 ECAP-C passes are observed. Strength properties increase with increasing number of ECAP passes and saturate after 6 ECAP-C passes to a yield strength of 973 MPa, an ultimate tensile strength of 1035 MPa, and a true failure stress of 1400 MPa (from 625, 750, and 1150 MPa in the as-received condition). The true strain at failure failure decreases after ECAP-C processing. The reduction of area and true strain to failure values do not decrease after ECAP-C processing. The sample after 6 ECAP-C passes is subjected to drawing at 200¯C resulting in reduction of a grain/subgrain size to 150 nm, formation of (10 1¯0) fiber texture with respect to the rod axis, and further increase of the yield strength up to 1190 MPa, the ultimate tensile strength up to 1230 MPa and the true failure stress up to 1600 MPa. It is demonstrated that UFG CP Ti has low resistance to macrolocalization of plastic deformation and high resistance to crack formation after necking
