Realizing Community Invigoration and an Inclusive Society through International Human Resources : Findings from an Open Studies Course at Tokushima University

我が国では，グローバル化及び少子高齢化・人口減少が進む中，外国人労働者の積極的な活用が喫緊の課題となっている。但し外国人材の獲得は，国内の地域間だけでなく国際的な競争にもさらされているため，彼らの我が国及び徳島への定着を促し，産業の維持・発展並びに地域活性化と共生を実現していくには，各地域社会において具体的な方策が求められる。こうした問題意識のもと，JICA 四国と徳島大学は2019 年に連携して公開講座を実施した。本稿は，その講座内容を整理し，実施成果より今後の展望を考察するものである。 本稿での考察を産学官民の観点から整理すると，①産業界においては，外国人と日本人の双方にとって生産性の高い労働環境を整備し，国内外でのビジネス展開強化の意識を持つこと，②学術界においては，地域社会及び経済の発展に資する研究成果の社会実装と，グローバルな視野を有し，地域に貢献できる人材の育成・輩出を促進すること，③行政においては，外国人一人ひとりの生活及び労働面等の異なるニーズに寄り添い，柔軟に対応する姿勢を持つとともに，地域全体で外国人の受入れと共生に向けた意識を育むための環境を醸成していくこと，④市民社会においては，外国人を地域に住む仲間として受入れ，彼らと協働しながら誰にとっても住みやすいまちづくりを促進していくこと，が今後の展望として析出された。今後，それぞれの業界が上記課題を具現化し，かつ効果的に連携できる方途を模索しながら，戦略的な地域活性化及び外国人材との共生に向けた前進が期待される

Visualization of the Central Limit Theorem and 95 Percent Confidence Intervals

The paper described our heuristics to teach the central limit theorem and the accuracy of estimates in business math classes. The students are not good at thinking in the abstract and have difficulties in understanding the theorem. We believe that visualization of the theorem and concepts is so helpful. In the paper, our visual teaching materials are shown. In the visual material to explain the confidence intervals, the set of red ink marks are sprayed. The centre of a circle mark is corresponding to a sample average value of one trial. With more trials, the mark color gets deeper and the resulting distribution of the sample averages gets close to a normal distribution. In another visual material for estimates in statistics, we have students count the probability the interval contains the true population mean. We think that these teaching materials by a combination of simulation and its visualization can be powerful teaching materials for the statistics estimate studies

ニホン ニオケル ジャン マリー ギュヨー ノ ジュヨウ ニ ツイテ

フランス哲学が日本に輸入されて以来、多くの哲学者が紹介されたが、現在では忘れられている哲学者も少なくない。ジャン─ マリー・ギュヨーもそのような哲学者の一人である。ギュヨーは、中江兆民の編んだ『政理叢談』において、その著作が紹介され、明治末期から大正期にかけては、多くの邦訳が出版され、また英訳を介して文壇及び大正期の文化に影響を与えた。アカデミズムでも美学・教育学・道徳学において一時期取り上げられたが、その後アカデミズムでは取り上げられず、主体的に論じられることもないまま現在に至っている。　明治末から大正期にかけて発展した大学制度においては、哲学といえば新カント派のドイツ哲学であり、それに対抗するものとして、当時のフランス哲学が在野の文化人や一部の大学の研究者によって取り上げられてきたものである。フランス哲学の受容において、重視されたのは、「現代性」「同時代性」であり、それ故、明治大正期に取り上げられたベルクソンやブートルーなどは「現代哲学」として受容されていたのである。　難解であるけれども思想的な深さをもつドイツ哲学に対して、明晰判明であるが浅いフランス哲学という批判を退けるために、ギュヨーを初めとするフランス哲学者がアカデミズムにおいて紹介されたのである。その目的は、ギュヨーの思想の研究ではなく、むしろフランス哲学の特性を証明するためであった。　そこには、ドイツ哲学を経由したフランス哲学観を離れてフランス哲学を研究することへの希求が存在している。しかし、そのフランス哲学受容の必要性の主張の裏には、「現代哲学」としてのフランス哲学を研究し、それを日本的な哲学の創生に役立てるという目的も同時に存在しているのである。欧米の思想の輸入過多に対して、日本的なるもの、日本独自の哲学という西欧思想との融合に際して、フランス哲学が利用されていたのである。そのような目的において、ギュヨーの哲学は役立つと考えられなかったためにアカデミズムの中で研究されなくなっていった。ギュヨーの生命の哲学を日本的な文脈の中に置き換えることは難しく、19 世期末に夭逝した哲学者であったために哲学史における評価も定まらず、ベルクソンの哲学ほど利用価値がないと判断されたために忘れられた哲学者となっていったのである。Although many philosophers have been studied since French philosophy was first introduced into Japan, many of them are forgotten. Jean-Marie Guyau is one of those. His work was first quoted in “Seirisodan”（Journal of Political Theories）edited and compiled by Nakae Chomin. Subsequently many translated versions of his books were published and influenced Japanese literature and culture in the Taisho period. Japanese academics also quoted his work in aesthetics, education and moral science. Temporarily however it stops quoting and has been up to the presen. The main points of French philosophy adoption were “modernity” and “contemporaneity”. Therefore Bergson and Boutroux were accepted as “philosophy of contemporaries.” However the main purpose of the introduction of French philosophy was establishing the attributes of French philosophy rather than studying Guyau’ s philosophy. There is a desire to search French philosophy that is not the one via German philosophy. At the same time, there is another purpose -to build a Japanese-style philosophy through researching French philosophy as the “philosophy of contemporaries”. Therefore academics ceased studying Guyau since they determined that his philosophy was not useful to this latter goal. As a result, he became a forgotten philosopher
