DA COLONIZAÇÃO AO SÉCULO XXI: FRAGMENTOS GEOGRÁFICOS DA PAISAGEM NA BACIA SERGIPANA DO RIO VAZA BARRIS

Considering that the landscapes are composed of natural and anthropogenic elements, resulting from past and present production of space by society, this article aims to analyze the dynamics of the landscape crop land in the Vaza Barris River basin in Sergipe, from colonization to the present day, and aims to identify the landscape units and the existing human pressures on them. To this end, survey data was conducted in primary and secondary sources, demonstrating that livestock, sugar cane and cotton growing in past tense and, at present, urbanization and diversification of productive activities in the three sectors of the economy has contributed to significant changes of the local landscape. Keywords: Landscape – Watershed – Economic ActivitiesConsiderando que as paisagens são compostas por elementos naturais e antrópicos, fruto da produção pretérita e presente do espaço pela sociedade, este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a dinâmica da paisagem no recorte territorial da bacia sergipana do rio Vaza Barris, desde a colonização até os dias atuais, bem como visa identificar as unidades de paisagem e as pressões antrópicas nelas existentes. Para tal, foram realizados levantamentos de dados em fontes primárias e secundárias, demonstrando que a pecuária, a cana-de-açúcar e a cultura do algodão, em tempos pretéritos, e, na atualidade, a urbanização e a diversificação das atividades produtivas nos três setores da economia tem contribuído para mudanças significativas da paisagem local. LITORAL NORTE SERGIPANO: HISTÓRIA E PERSPECTIVAS SÓCIO-ECONÔMICAS

Sergipes´Northern Coast, defined in this paper by the counties of Barra dos Coqueiros, Pirambu, Pacatuba and Brejo Grande, is an area with serious social and economic problems that came from State of Sergipe colonization. Generally it presents its lands used in a unsuitable way and the predominance of economic activities linked to primary section. Vegetation and mineral extractive activities are inexpressive. Fishing just deserves prominence in the county of Pirambu, whereas is decadent in other areas. Land domains hightly absorved, scarce road systems and weak economy have been contributing to a great people escape in the area. Thus, this paper seeks to analyze the space organization thourghout Sergipe´s Northern Coast, looking for a historical context from the colonial period to nowadays, characterizing the area by physical and socioeconomic aspects.O Litoral Norte de Sergipe, definido neste trabalho pelos municípios da Barra dos Coqueiros, Pirambu, Pacatuba e Brejo Grande, é uma área com graves problemas sociais e econômicos desde os primórdios da colonização sergipana. Apre-senta de forma geral uma sub utilização de terras e o predomínio de atividades econô-micas ligadas ao setor primário. O extrativismo vegetal e mineral é inexpressivo. A pesca merece destaque apenas no município de Pirambu, enquanto nos demais é de-cadente. A forte concentração fundiária, a escassa malha viária e a pequena expressão económica, são fatores que têm contribuído para a forte evasão populacional na área. Assim, este estudo visa analisar a organização espacial do Litoral Norte sergipano, buscando contes tual i zar historicamente a área desde o período colonial até os nossos dias, caracterizando a região por meio dos aspectos físicos c sócio-económicos

AS PLANTAS MEDICINAIS DA CULTURA POPULAR SERGIPANA NO PROCESSO DE ALFABETIZACAO DE JOVENS E ADULTOS EM AREAS RURAIS

No Brasil. a maioria dm jovens e adultos analfabetos ou analfabetas funcionais já pamou por instituições ou programas escolares sem obter êxito. Os principais entraves encontram-se na não identificação dos procedimentos pedagógicos adotados e o cotidiano/perspectivas dessa clientela. Tendo em vista essa problemática. este trabalho foi desenvolvido em salas de aulas para jovens c adultos de Ires municípios sergipanos - Itaporanga D'Ajuda. Riachuelo e Pinhão - integrantes do Programa de Alfabetização Solidaria cujos objetivos Foram: promover a reconstrução da auto-estima e da valorização da cultura dos alfabetizando% a partir da identificação das plantas medicinais da cultura popular decida município envolvido: desenvolver, a partir desse levantamento. atividades telacionadas com Ciências. História. Poouguês e Matemática.In Brazil, most illiterate or semi-educated people, young and adult as well, have vainly gone through official school programs and institutions. The unidentification not only of the pedagogical procedures involved but also of the clientele´s everyday life and outlook may be said to represent the major obstacles to academic archievement. Taking such problematic issue into account, this paper, carried out in classrooms for young and adult students in three Sergipe cities - Itaporanga D´ajuda, Riachuelo and Pinhão (all of them part of the government-led Programa de Alfabetização Solidária) - has had as objectives: to foster an uplift of self-esteem among those undergoing the literacy processes and at once cause them to value their own culture by identifying the medicinal herbs which popular knowledge, in each of the three cities, has deemed as such; also, based on their findings, the paper further tried to develop school activities in the fields of Sciences, History, Portuguese and Mathematics
