Quantum Computing and a Unified Approach to Fast Unitary Transforms

A quantum computer directly manipulates information stored in the state of quantum mechanical systems. The available operations have many attractive features but also underly severe restrictions, which complicate the design of quantum algorithms. We present a divide-and-conquer approach to the design of various quantum algorithms. The class of algorithm includes many transforms which are well-known in classical signal processing applications. We show how fast quantum algorithms can be derived for the discrete Fourier transform, the Walsh-Hadamard transform, the Slant transform, and the Hartley transform. All these algorithms use at most O(log^2 N) operations to transform a state vector of a quantum computer of length N.Comment: 11 pages, LaTeX2e, 15 figures, not viewable as dvi. La radio escolar: diseño y evaluación de una propuesta radiofónica

Curs acadèmic: 2017/2018El mundo digital, junto con la aparición de las nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación, ha transformado la sociedad radicalmente. Entre estos cambios se ve implicada la educación, que se ha visto obligada a evolucionar sus procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje, implantando nuevas herramientas educativas, como la radio. La inserción de este medio radiofónico en las aulas supone gran cantidad de beneficios, cambiando los roles educativos, convirtiendo al discente en protagonista de su propio aprendizaje y reformando el papel de maestro, que evoluciona de director a guía del aprendizaje. Es por ello por lo que cada vez son más los centros que han optado por poner en marcha sus radios educativas. Concretamente, el proyecto “l’Escola fa Ràdio” se lleva a cabo en un colegio público de la ciudad de Castellón de la Plana, cuyo propósito es impulsar el uso del valenciano y favorecer la creación de situaciones comunicativas reales que activen la creatividad, además de habituar al alumnado con las modalidades de los programas radiofónicos. Esta investigación explora las posibilidades que tiene la implementación de un proyecto de radio escolar en un centro de educación primaria. Para ello se ha utilizado una metodología fundamentada a partir de la realización de 6 entrevistas a un total de 12 implicados en el proceso de construcción del programa piloto emitido desde el centro. Finalmente, poniendo en común las distintas valoraciones y extrayendo resultados, se concluye que, por lo general, la radio educativa posee gran potencial, tanto expresivamente como socialmente.The digital world, together with the apparition of the Information and Communication Technologies, has changed the society radically. Among these changes it is involved the education, it has been forced to evolve its processes of teaching-learning introducing new educative tools such as the radio. The introduction of this medium into the classrooms supposes many benefits, it changes the educative roles converting the student into the main character of its learning and the teacher from a director to a guide in the learning. That is why there are more and more centers that choose to start their educative radios. In particular, the project ‘l’Escola fa Ràdio’ is made in a public school of the city of Castellón de Plana. Its goal is to encourage the use of the Valencian, to favour the creation of real communicative situations that active the creativity and to make the students used to the modalities of the radiophonic programs. This investigation explores the possibilities that could have the implementation of this educative radio project in a primary education center. For this, it has been used a methodology based on the realization of 6 interviews to a total of 12 individuals implicated in the process of the construction of the pilot program emitted from this center. Iklim Komunikasi Organisasi Yang Terjadi Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah iklim komuniksi organisasi yang terjadi di Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum, Jombang Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dipilih dengan pertimbangan kualitatif lebih menekankan pada makna daripada hasil suatu aktivitas karena dalam melakukan penelitian ini peneliti bukan sebagai seorang ahli tetapi orang yang belajar mengenai sesuatu dari subyek penelitian. Unit analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah informasi yang berupa narasi-narasi kualitatif yang dihasikan dalam wawancara mendalam (indepth intervew), observasi participan, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan yang berkaitan dengan Iklim Komunikasi Organisasi di Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum Jombang. Teknik analisis data kegiatan dilakukan dengan menelaah data, menata, membagi menjadi satuan-satuan yang dapat dikelola, mensintesis, mencari pola, menemukan apa yang bermakna, dan apa yang diteliti dan dilaporkan secara sistematik. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa Iklim komunikasi organisasi di pondok pesantren darul ‘ulum berdasarkan enam dimensi. Kepercayaan, pengambilan keputusan partisipatif dalam keorganisasian, kejujuran, keterbukaan dalam komunikasi ke bawah, mendengarkan pada komunikasi ke atas, perhatian pada tujuan berkinerja tinggi
