Relativistic deuteron structure function at large Q^2
The deuteron deep inelastic unpolarized structure function F_2^D is
calculated using the Wilson operator product expansion method. The long
distance behaviour, related to the deuteron bound state properties, is
evaluated using the Bethe-Salpeter equation with one particle on mass shell.
The calculation of the ratio F_2^D/F_2^N is compared with other convolution
models showing important deviations in the region of large x. The implications
in the evaluation of the neutron structure function from combined data on
deuterons and protons are discussed.Comment: 7 pages, 1 ps figure, RevTeX source, 1 tar.gz file. Submited to

Stochastic Model in the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang Universality With Minimal Finite Size Effects
We introduce a solid on solid lattice model for growth with conditional
evaporation. A measure of finite size effects is obtained by observing the time
invariance of distribution of local height fluctuations. The model parameters
are chosen so that the change in the distribution in time is minimum.
On a one dimensional substrate the results obtained from the model for the
roughness exponent from three different methods are same as predicted
for the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) equation. One of the unique feature of the
model is that the as obtained from the structure factor for
the one dimensional substrate growth exactly matches with the predicted value
of 0.5 within statistical errors. The model can be defined in any dimensions.
We have obtained results for this model on a 2 and 3 dimensional substrates.Comment: 8 pages, 7 figures, accepted in Phys. Rev.
Directional motion of forced polymer chains with hydrodynamic interaction
We study the propulsion of a one-dimensional (1D) polymer chain under
sinusoidal external forces in the overdamped (low Reynolds number) regime. We
show that, when hydrodynamical interactions are included, the polymer presents
directional motion which depends on the phase differences of the external force
applied along the chain. Moreover, the velocity shows a maximum as a function
of the frequency. We discuss the relevance of all these results in light of
recent nanotechnology experiments.Comment: 5 pages, 6 figure
MIMAC : Detection of low energy recoils for Dark Matter search
The MIMAC project is based on a matrix of Micro Time Projection Chambers
(micro-TPC) for Dark Matter search, filled with He3 or CF4 and using ionization
and tracks. The first measurement of the energy resolution of this micro-TPC is
presented as well as its low thresholdComment: Dark Energy and Dark Matter conference, Lyon : France (2008
