Hidden Higgs Particle
A modification of the standard model of electroweak interactions with the
nonlocal Higgs sector is proposed. Proper form of nonlocality makes Higgs
particles unobservable after the electroweak symmetry breaking. They appear
only as a virtual state because their propagator is an entire function. We
discuss some specific consequences of this approach comparing it with the
conventional standard model.Comment: 15 pages, LaTeX, no figure
Lepton number, black hole entropy and 10 to the 32 copies of the Standard Model
Lepton number violating processes are a typical problem in theories with a
low quantum gravity scale. In this paper we examine lepton number violation
(LNV) in theories with a saturated black hole bound on a large number of
species. Such theories have been advocated recently as a possible solution to
the hierarchy problem and an explanation of the smallness of neutrino masses.
Naively one would expect black holes to introduce TeV scale LNV operators, thus
generating unacceptably large rates of LNV processes. We show, however, that
this does not happen in this scenario due to a complicated compensation
mechanism between contributions of different Majorana neutrino states to these
processes. As a result rates of LNV processes are extremely small and far
beyond experimental reach, at least for the left-handed neutrino states.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures, to appear in Proc. PASCOS 2010, Valencia, Spai
The article examines the main features inherent to meso-level of international integration formations
representing network structures in intra-branch and inter-branch cooperation in the form of cross-border cluster
systems encompassing macro-level and micro-level of integration of national economies. Possibilities of theory
synthesis of international economic integration and cluster concept in economic area virtualization environment are
revealed. Cluster approach is proved to be the most efficient mechanism to develop cross-border economic relations
and represents, finally, a meso-level of competitive international integration systems and mandatory condition of
quality advance for Ukrainian European integration. The essence and inner interrelations of cross-border network
cluster are investigated as the growth factor of the European region competitiveness under the conditions of
intensifying the integration processes and the necessity of enhancement of the role of periphery regions’ economy in the
framework of cross-border cooperation. Within the context of European Union regional politics the strategic priorities
of the spatial development of the European regions are stated on the basis of self-organization of “hybrid” network
quasi integration institutions. Their role in the competitive recovery of the European regions in the light of Ukrainian
perspectives of joining European Union is investigated.
Trans-border clusters system development potential as a strategic planning object
Essence and internal relations of development potential of trans-borders cluster system as a factor
increasing the competitiveness of a European region under conditions of increasing integration
processes and demand to improve the part of peripheral territories in economy are explored in the
proposed work. Theoretical provisions and methodological approaches are systematized in view of
structuring a potential of trans-borders clusters basing on the system approach. Strategic priorities
are identified and innovation potential of cluster forms for trans-borders industrial integration is
analyzed in view of prospects of Ukrainian entering EU.
The mechanism of transplantation of network economics institutions is studied as the necessary
growth factor of competitive capacity of the European regions in terms of European integration. By
means of institutional approach it is justified that postindustrial economics evolved into the system
of interlocking institutions, forming a new economic area of postmodernity in cross-border
dimension, in which such virtual resources of development are necessary as: information,
innovations, ways of communication, knowledge and other institutions of postindustrial society
Longitudinal vector form factors in weak decays of nuclei
The longitudinal form factors of the weak vector current of particles with
spin and isospin are determined by the mass difference
and the charge radii of members of the isotopic doublets. The most promising
reactions to measure these form factors are the reactions with large momentum
transfers involving the spin-1/2 isotopic doublets with a maximum mass
splitting. Numerical estimates of longitudinal form factors are given for
nucleons and eight nuclear spin-1/2 isotopic doublets.Comment: 6 pages. Talk given at the 10th MEDEX'15 meeting Matrix Elements for
