    Get PDF
Autism or mental imbalance is turmoil in the development and improvement of a mind or central nervous system that covers a huge range of skills, impairment and symptoms. The children who are experiencing autism (or mental imbalance) confront challenges in conveying and adjusting in the group as they experience difficulty in understanding what others feel and think. These days learning innovations changed instructive frameworks with amazing advancement of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Moreover, when these innovations are accessible, reasonable and available, they speak to more than a change for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this paper, a writing study and foundation study is done on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and E-Learning System for Autism Children

Study on the Behavior of Cold-formed Steel Angle Tension Members

    Get PDF
Cold-formed steel tension members with bolted end connections are frequently used in a variety of structures such as trusses, transmission towers etc. Among all the shapes, angles are widely used. When angle sections are connected with gusset plates and eccentrically loaded, their ultimate load- carrying capacity is influenced by the effect of shear lag. This paper presents the details of an experimental and numerical investigation with a primary objective of studying the effect of shear lag on cold-formed steel single and double angles subjected to tension. Seventy-two single plain and lipped angles made from thicknesses 2,3 and 4 mm connected to gusset plates at their ends by ordinary black bolts were tested. Forty-eight double angles of 3 and 4 mm thicknesses connected to the opposite side of gusset plate and to the same side of the gusset plate at their ends by black bolts were also tested. All the one hundred and twenty specimens were tested in an Universal Testing machine subjected to eccentric tensile load. From the test results, load vs deflection behaviour and the failure modes were studied. The actual load carried by the specimen was compared with the theoretical load carrying capacity predicted by International codal provisions and with the load carrying capacity predicted by numerical investigation by ANSYS. An empirical equation is proposed to determine the load-carrying capacity of the cold-formed steel angles and the predicted values agree with the experimental results

Entity Recognition is process of identifying predefined entities such as person names, products, or locations in a given docu ment. This is done by finding all possible substrings from a document that match any reference in the given entity dictionary. Approximate Membership Extraction (AME) method was used for finding all substrings in a given document that can approximately match any c lean references but it generates many redundant matched substrings because of approximation (rough calculation), thus rendering AME is not suitable for real - world tasks based on entity extraction. We propose a web - based join framework which combines a web search along with the approximate membership localization. Our process first provides a top n number of documents fetched from the web using a general search using the given query and then approximate membership localization(AML) is applied on these documents using the clear reference table and extra cts the entities form the document to form the intermediate reference table using Edit distance Vector, Score Correlation

A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of partial shade, inorganic, organic and biofertilizers on biochemical constituents and quality of turmeric. The study was laid out in split plot design, consisting of two main plots viz., open and shade. The sub-plot treatments consisted of different doses of inorganic fertilizers, organic manures, biofertilizers and growth stimulants constituting of 40 different treatment combinations. The treatment combinations, viz., shade with application of 100 % recommended dose of NPK + 50 % FYM (15 t ha-1) + coir compost (10 t ha-1) + Azospirillum (10 kg ha-1) + phosphobacteria (10 kg ha-1) + 3 % panchagavya showed increased total chlorophyll content, total phenol content and registered the highest yield per plot. On the contrary, provision of shade decreased the curing percentage as compared to open condition. Among the quality characters, the highest curcumin (5.57 %) and essential oil (5.68 %) content were registered in the treatment, shade with application of 50 % FYM + coir compost + Azospirillum (10 kg ha-1) + phosphobacteria (10 kg ha-1) + 3 % panchagavya

A field experiment was conducted during 2003-04 and 2004-05 to asses the production potential of intercropping of cassava (Manihot esculenta L.) with groundnut (Arachis hypogea), vegetable cowpea (Vigna sinensis) and black gram (Vigna mungo) in relation to various weed control practices. Intercropping influenced the population of grasses, sedges, BLW and total dry matter production of weeds. Weed management caused significant improvement in growth, yield and economic returns of cassava system. Best results were achieved with intercropping of vegetable cowpea with pre-emergence application of fluchloralin 0.75 kg/ha + one hand weeding 4 weeks after planting followed by application of alachlor @ 1.5 kg/ha + one hand weeding 4 weeks after planting

Last decade has seen an increasing demand for vehicle aided data delivery. This data delivery has proven to be beneficial for vehicular communication. The vehicular network provisions safety, warning and infotainment applications. Infotainment applications have attracted drivers and passengers as it provides location based entertainment services, a value add to the traveling experience. These infotainment messages are delivered to the nearby vehicles in the form of advertisements. For every advertisement disseminated to its neighboring vehicle, an incentive is awarded to the forwarder. The incentive based earning foresee a security threat in the form of a malicious node as it hoards the incentives, thus are greedy for earning incentives. The malicious behavior of the insider has an adverse effect on the incentive based advertisement distribution approach. In this paper, we have identified the malicious nodes and analyzed its effect on incentive based earning for drivers in vehicular networks. © 2017 IEEE

The present experiment was carried out to study the spectrum of chlorophyll mutations, mutagenic effectiveness and efficiency in Gloriosa superba seeds using both chemical and physical mutagens. Self pollinated seeds of glory lily ecotype Gs-15 were treated with different doses of gamma rays viz., 10, 20, 30 and 40 (Gy), EMS viz., 10, 20, 30 and 40 mM and DES 15, 20, 25 and 30 mM. Both physical and chemical mutagens had significantly contributed to the production of the spectrum of chlorophyll mutants with higher mutagenic effectiveness and efficiency. The treatment of mutagens resulted in the production of four types of chlorophyll mutants viz., albina, xantha, chlorina and viridis. The mutagenic effectiveness and efficiency were calculated based on biological damage as well as chlorophyll mutation frequency on M1 plants. The results indicated that the mutagenic efficiency was the highest, at lower and intermediate concentrations of mutagens. The frequency of xantha (8.36) mutants were the highest followed by viridis (7.01) and other types were observed in all the treatments. Among different treatments, gamma rays were effective than the other two chemical mutagens in inducing different chlorophyll mutations. A comparatively lesser number of albina (2.13) mutants were observed with respect to all the mutagens studied. The higher frequency of mutations was observed in gamma irradiated seedlings (28.28) as compared to EMS (17.57) and DES (11.96). Likewise, the mutagenic effectiveness was at an increased score (81.10%) with 10 Gy gamma irradiation treatment. With regard to the EMS, based on lethality, increased mutagenic efficiency (27.37%) was observed at 20 mM concentration. Conversely, lower doses of physical mutagen (gamma radiation) induced a higher mutagenic rate, while EMS registered a lower score of mutations

    Get PDF
Improving the communication of Internet of Things (IoT) network is a challenging task as it connects a wide-range of heterogeneous mobile devices. With an extended support from cloud network, the mobile IoT devices demand flexibility and scalability in communication. Increase in density of communicating devices and user request, traffic handling and delay-less service are unenviable. This manuscript introduces genetic algorithm based adaptive offloading (GA-OA) for effective traffic handling in IoT-infrastructure-cloud environment. The process of offloading is designed to mitigate unnecessary delays in request process and to improve the success rate of the IoT requests. The fitness process of GA is distributed among the gateways and infrastructure to handle requests satisfying different communication metrics. The process of GA balances between the optimal and sub-optimal solutions generated to improve the rate of request response. Experimental results prove the consistency of the proposed GA-OA by improving request success ratio, achieving lesser complexity, delay and processing time
