Book Review--Seeking the Calm in the Storm тАУ Managing Chaos in Your Business Life
The book is all about how effectively the organizations and the people can keep responding to the fast paced change environment especially when Information Technology is fast changing and achieve the goals. It talks about different issues like IT has revolutionized the business as it can be done from any place but its complication cannot be ignored as simple does not stay always simple.Information Technology
Indigenous Development of a Track Etch Detector
Solid state nuclear track detectors (SSNTDs) have been recognised by IAEA as a standard method for estimation of radon, thoron and their daughter products in the environment. The detectors that are commonly used in environmental monitoring are generally made from cellulose nitrate (LR-115) and polycarbonates (CR-39). In view of the non-availability of these detectors in India, need was felt to develop them indigenously. Accordingly, an attempt has been made to develop cellulose nitrate films for their use in SSNTD. Cellulose nitrate with a particular nitrogen content was used for preparing these films by a cast method. This films were annealed, evaluated and then compared with imported films. The background track density and alpha track density after exposure to 150 nCi of /sup 241/Am source at 2.5 cm distance were found to be comparable with those of imported films
Occurrence of Additional Canals in Mandibular Lower Anteriors In Between Male and Female Patients
The endodontic treatment with excellent outcomes depends on the critical identification of the root and its canals anatomy. The successful identification of these anatomies guaranteed the pulp tissue extirpation completely, with efficiency in chemo-mechanical cleaning and shaping. All these lead to the most proper three-dimensionally root canal obturation with the most reliable inert filling. The purpose of this study is to provide clinical data on the presence of additional canals in mandibular anterior teeth among males and females.Patients reported from June 2019 to March 2020 were reviewed. 82000 patient records were reviewed and data related to patients undergone Root canal therapy in mandibular lower anteriors. Data includes age, gender and number of additional canals in lower anteriors. The collected data was tabulated in the excel sheet. Statistical analysis was done using SPSS software (version 9.0.3). The prevalence of patients with additional canals in mandibular anteriors was 8.1% . For females, the prevalence of additional canals was 3.24% whereas in males it is 4.86%. However, there is no relation between the gender and presence of additional canals in mandibular anteriors
Incentive Stackelberg Mean-payoff Games
We introduce and study incentive equilibria for multi-player meanpayoff
games. Incentive equilibria generalise well-studied solution concepts such as
Nash equilibria and leader equilibria (also known as Stackelberg equilibria).
Recall that a strategy profile is a Nash equilibrium if no player can improve
his payoff by changing his strategy unilaterally. In the setting of incentive
and leader equilibria, there is a distinguished player called the leader who
can assign strategies to all other players, referred to as her followers. A
strategy profile is a leader strategy profile if no player, except for the
leader, can improve his payoff by changing his strategy unilaterally, and a
leader equilibrium is a leader strategy profile with a maximal return for the
leader. In the proposed case of incentive equilibria, the leader can
additionally influence the behaviour of her followers by transferring parts of
her payoff to her followers. The ability to incentivise her followers provides
the leader with more freedom in selecting strategy profiles, and we show that
this can indeed improve the payoff for the leader in such games. The key
fundamental result of the paper is the existence of incentive equilibria in
mean-payoff games. We further show that the decision problem related to
constructing incentive equilibria is NP-complete. On a positive note, we show
that, when the number of players is fixed, the complexity of the problem falls
in the same class as two-player mean-payoff games. We also present an
implementation of the proposed algorithms, and discuss experimental results
that demonstrate the feasibility of the analysis of medium sized games.Comment: 15 pages, references, appendix, 5 figure
Consultancy report on market research for Ammonia, Hydrogen sulphide, Nitrite and vibrio reducing products in Andhra Pradesh aquaculture market
Fisheries and Aquaculture have been recognized as a powerful income and employment generator as it stimulates the growth of a number of subsidiary industries. It is an instrument for the livelihood for a large section of economically backward population of the country. Aquaculture is one of the fastest growing food sectors in the world with a impressive growth rate of over eight per cent annually. Over the past three decades, there has been a rapid progress in aquaculture development all over the world, particularly in Asian countries. The major
changes that are noticeable indicate the transformation from a small scale homestead level activity to a large scale commercial aqua farming
