Tourism development in local communities: as a community development approach

    Get PDF
This article illustrates the role of local communities for tourism development. This study also attempts to highlight the role of tourism local development. This article looks at how local communities can develop tourism in local area. The concepts of community and community development have been important for local tourism development. The implication of this study arises from the fact that there has been little research carried out on interaction between communities and local tourism. Theoretically, the findings of this study enrich the knowledge concerning local tourism industry

The effects of solar radiation pressure at several satellite (near Earth orbit satellite, low Earth orbit satellite, medium Earth orbit satellite and high Earth orbit satellite ) have been investigated. Computer simulation of the equation of motion with perturbations using step-by-step integration (Cowell's method) designed by matlab a 7.4 where using Jacobian matrix method to increase the accuracy of result

A Sawtooth Permanent Magnetic Lattice for Ultracold Atoms and BECs

We propose a new permanent magnetic lattice for creating periodic arrays of Ioffe-Pritchard permanent magnetic microtraps for holding and controlling ultracold atoms and Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs). Lattice can be designed on thin layer of magnetic films such as Tb6Tb_6Gd10Gd_10Fe80Fe_{80}Co4Co_4. In details, we investigate single layer and two crossed layers of sawtooth magnetic patterns with thicknesses of 50 and 500nm respectively with a periodicity of 1μ\mum. Trap depth and frequencies can be changed via an applied bias field to handle tunneling rates between lattice sites. We present analytical expressions and using numerical calculations show that this lattice has non-zero potential minima to avoid majorana spin flips. One advantage of this lattice over previous ones is that it is easier to manufacture.Comment: 8 pages, 6 figure

Relative periodic orbits in point vortex systems

We give a method to determine relative periodic orbits in point vortex systems: it consists mainly into perform a symplectic reduction on a fixed point submanifold in order to obtain a two-dimensional reduced phase space. The method is applied to point vortices systems on a sphere and on the plane, but works for other surfaces with isotropy (cylinder, ellipsoid, ...). The method permits also to determine some relative equilibria and heteroclinic cycles connecting these relative equilibria.Comment: 27 pages, 17 figure

Barriers of community capacity building in types of tourism activities

This paper investigates barriers of community capacity building in tourism development base on types of tourism activities. This study was run in local communities of Shiraz, Iran. Questionnaire was used to collect data from community leaders. The focus group discussion also performed to collection data from community residents who were engaged in tourism activates. One way Anova was used to examine the difference barriers of community capacity base on types of tourism activities. According to the survey, results showed barriers of community capacity building in tourism development in handicraft activities higher than other types of tourism activity

    YIELD PREDICTION IN 60ft\u3csup\u3e2\u3c/sup\u3e GRIDS

Large detailed yield databases incorporating GPS makes it possible to predict yield on a small scale. The objective of this study was to determine how closely yield could be predicted in grids of 60-ft2 units. Com and soybean yields were averaged to the 60-ft2 grid. The yields were modeled on previous yields, soil fertility, soil type, and terrain variables. Soil fertility variables were kriged from a I-acre grid to the 60-ft2 grid. Terrain data and soil type data were available at the same scale. Multiple regression models and models with spatial correlation determined from yield semivariograms differed some. Previous yields and wetness were the most significant variables. Soil variables alone were not good predictors
