Introduction. The search of the unified tools of competences measurement of vocational training institutions graduates and identification of mechanisms of interrelation of these competences with requirements of professional standards imposed to workers of various levels are brought into focus in the context of formation of National system of qualifications of the Russian Federation, introduction of the Third-generation Federal State Educational Standards and transition of professional education to the modular, and competence-based model of the organization of training. The aim of the article is to justify the content, structure and technology of competency-based assessment, as a set of interrelated activities and regulated procedures performed on the basis of the standardized interdisciplinary evaluation materials. Methodology and research methods. The present investigation is based on systematic-activity and competency-based approaches, analysis, systematization, and generalization. Results. The place of competencies, as a part of educational outcomes of vocational education programs, is justified. Critical analysis of typical methodological solutions that are typical for the modern pedagogical practices of the competency-based assessment is performed. The content and organizational design of the process of competency-based assessment is described. Scientific novelty. The conceptual apparatus of competency-based assessment is supplemented with the Β«sub-competenceΒ» category - component of competence, which retains all of its properties due to human activities. Factors of objects choice and methods of assessment in identifying the professional competences are proved. Practical significance. Results of the study can be used by researchers involved with assessment procedures; methodologists and teachers of professional educational organizations, training institutes, independent centers of the qualifications evaluation for the organization of professional competences and qualifications assessment.Π’Π²Π΅Π΄Π΅Π½ΠΈΠ΅. Education as the Basis for Developing Human Capital

    Get PDF
Considering the theoretical, legal, and methodological foundations and using scientific methods have allowed us to reveal approaches for studying education values and establishing directions for human capital development. A set of research methods we used has contributed to substantiating the logical sequence and directions for human capital development. Differences in developing human capital are mainly due to the level of education. The research problem is to study education as a factor influencing the development of human capital. The paper aims to study the role of education in the development of human capital. The research object is human capital. The research subject is the impact of education on the development of human capital. The practical and scientific significance of the paper is in further studies on the influence of education on the development of human capital. Moreover, it is in overcoming the economic approach to this significant, complex, and multifaceted phenomenon

Preparation of the Sm3+-doped magnetic nanoparticles via microwave-assisted polyol synthesis

    Get PDF
Sm3+-doped magnetic nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared via microwave-assisted polyol synthesis in ethylene glycol, poly(ethylene glycol) and mixed ethylene glycol - poly(ethylene glycol) solutions. In present work, the effects of organic solvent composition on particle size, particle size distribution, extent of agglomeration, and samarium content in prepared NPs were studied. The synthesized NPs were characterized by several techniques as follows: X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), thermogravimetry (TGA) and X-Ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis. XRD and TEM results showed formation of ~6.0 - 17.9 nm NPs having different microstructure characteristics (average particle size, particle size distribution, and agglomeration

The Outburst of the Blazar AO 0235+164 in 2006 December: Shock-in-Jet Interpretation

We present the results of polarimetric (RR band) and multicolor photometric (BVRIJHKBVRIJHK) observations of the blazar AO 0235+16 during an outburst in 2006 December. The data reveal a short timescale of variability (several hours), which increases from optical to near-IR wavelengths; even shorter variations are detected in polarization. The flux density correlates with the degree of polarization, and at maximum degree of polarization the electric vector tends to align with the parsec-scale jet direction. We find that a variable component with a steady power-law spectral energy distribution and very high optical polarization (30-50%) is responsible for the variability. We interpret these properties of the blazar withina model of a transverse shock propagating down the jet. In this case a small change in the viewing angle of the jet, by ≲1o\lesssim 1^o, and a decrease in the shocked plasma compression by a factor of ∼\sim1.5 are sufficient to account for the variability.Comment: 22 pages, 8 figures, accepted for Ap

The existence of a real pole-free solution of the fourth order analogue of the Painleve I equation

We establish the existence of a real solution y(x,T) with no poles on the real line of the following fourth order analogue of the Painleve I equation, x=Ty-({1/6}y^3+{1/24}(y_x^2+2yy_{xx})+{1/240}y_{xxxx}). This proves the existence part of a conjecture posed by Dubrovin. We obtain our result by proving the solvability of an associated Riemann-Hilbert problem through the approach of a vanishing lemma. In addition, by applying the Deift/Zhou steepest-descent method to this Riemann-Hilbert problem, we obtain the asymptotics for y(x,T) as x\to\pm\infty.Comment: 27 pages, 5 figure

Predictive value of global longitudinal strain and geometry of left ventricle in patients with noncompaction cardiomyopathy

    Get PDF
Aim. To assess the prognostic role of a decrease in longitudinal strain and an increase in the left ventricular sphericity index as predictors of NYHA class III heart failure (HF) progression, requiring hospitalization in a cohort of patients with noncompaction cardiomyopathy (NCM) in combination with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).Material and methods. We examined 90 patients with a combination of NCM and DCM aged 18 to 72 years (median age, 41 years; men β€” 73; women β€” 17), who, in addition to conventional echocardiographic and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) characteristics, were studied for two-dimensional strain and global longitudinal strain (GLS) parameters and left ventricular sphericity index (SI) using cardiac MRI. The endpoints included NYHA class III HF progression, requiring hospitalization.Results. During the follow-up period (median follow-up, 36 (6; 152) months) in 59 of 90 (65,5%) patients with NCM in combination with DCM, symptoms progressed to NYHA class III HF, requiring hospitalization. Multivariate analysis showed following independent risk factors for HF-related hospitalization: a decrease in GLS <10% (hazard ratio (HR), 5,1; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1,6-16,7, p<0,007) and an increase in SI >0,5 (HR, 9,0; 95% CI, 2,2-37,8, p<0,003) .The 3-year event-free survival rate for patients with one risk factor (GLS, %<10 and SI <0,5; GLS, %>10 and SI >0,5) was 79,2Β±16,9% and 64,4Β±24,6%, respectively, while for the group with two risk factors (GLS, %<10 and SI>0,5) β€” 12,3%.Conclusion. Global longitudinal strain characteristics according to 2D Strain echocardiography and SI according to cardiac MRI are associated with adverse events in NCM and DCM combination and can be used to identify patients with a high risk of HF progression to NYHA class III, requiring hospitalization

Early physiological response of potato plants to entomopathogenic fungi under hydroponic conditions

    Get PDF
Endophytic entomopathogenic fungi are promising agents for the promotion of plant growth, the activation of immunity, and protection against phytopathogens. However, physiological changes in plants after treatment with fungi are insufficiently studied. We investigated the effect of potato inoculation with conidia from Metarhizium robertsii and Beauveria bassiana on the growth (fresh and dry weight, length of shoots and roots, counts of stolons and leaves, and total surface area of leaves) and physiological parameters (pigment contents, free proline and malondialdehyde content, and activity of antioxidant enzymes) at the initial stage of the plant–fungus interaction (seven days) under hydroponic conditions. The results showed that the fungi could act as an immune-modulating factor for plants based on the increase in malondialdehyde and proline contents. At the same time, we observed growth retardation and a decrease in the content of photosynthetic pigments, which may be caused by a tradeoff between plant growth and the immune response
