    Evidence of a Sub-Saturn around EPIC~211945201

We report here strong evidence for a sub-Saturn around EPIC~211945201 and confirm its planetary nature. EPIC~211945201b was found to be a planetary candidate from {\it K2} photometry in Campaigns 5 \& 16, transiting a bright star (Vmag=10.15V_{\rm mag}=10.15, G0 spectral type) in a 19.492 day orbit. However, the photometric data combined with false positive probability calculations using VESPA was not sufficient to confirm the planetary scenario. Here we present high-resolution spectroscopic follow-up of the target using the PARAS spectrograph (19 radial velocity observations) over a time-baseline of 420 days. We conclusively rule out the possibility of an eclipsing binary system and confirm the 2-σ\sigma detection of a sub-Saturn planet. The confirmed planet has a radius of 6.12±0.1\pm0.1 R~R_{\oplus}, and a mass of 2712.6+1427_{-12.6}^{+14}~MM_{\oplus}. We also place an upper limit on the mass (within the 3-σ\sigma confidence interval) at 42~MM_{\oplus} above the nominal value. This results in the Saturn-like density of 0.650.30+0.340.65_{-0.30}^{+0.34} g~cm3^{-3}. Based on the mass and radius, we provide a preliminary model-dependent estimate that the heavy element content is 60-70 \% of the total mass. This detection is important as it adds to a sparse catalog of confirmed exoplanets with masses between 10-70 MM_{\oplus} and radii between 4-8 RR_{\oplus}, whose masses and radii are measured to a precision of 50\% or better (only 23 including this work).Comment: Accepted for publication in The Astronomical Journal, 17 pages, 8 figure

Role of atmospheric stability over the Arabian Sea and the unprecedented failure of monsoon 2002

The anomalous behaviour of the monsoon 2002 has been studied. We have made an attempt to combine satellite and other data sources to characterize the thermal stratification over the Arabian Sea during different phases of monsoon 2002. Using NOAA-ATOVSderived atmospheric temperature and moisture profiles, we have calculated a daily stability index (SI) over the entire Indian region and surrounding oceans. The time series of SI clearly brings out the three major significant epochs of monsoon 2002. The relatively dry atmosphere west of 65° E, signifying lack of convection and an unstable atmosphere over the southeast Arabian Sea with west-to-east gradients in water vapour, SI and cloud liquid water content are noted. The unfavourable stratification during July over the entire Arabian Sea has been investigated in detail. The dominant modes of instability oscillations have been seen to be ~ 30 days both over the western and eastern Arabian Sea, while for the high-frequency modes preference was seen over the eastern part. Using the analysed fields of the National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts, the relative contributions of advective and subsidence components in the maintenance of stratification have been investigated. The latter has been found to have played a more dominant role in the deficit monsoon 2002

Behaviour of Magnetic Tubes in Neutron Star's Interior

It is found from Maxwell's equations that the magnetic field lines are good analogues of relativistic strings. It is shown that the super-conducting current in the neutron star's interior causes local rotation of magnetic flux tubes carrying quantized flux.Comment: 6 pages, no figure

A case report on methotrexate induced pancytopenia

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a non-specific systemic inflammatory disease that affects various organ systems in the body leading to a wide spectrum of clinical presentations. The management of SLE includes therapy with immunosuppressant agents who have a narrow safety range and a wide adverse effect profile. Methotrexate discussed in this case report is one of such drugs whose short term and long term usage has been associated with various adverse events that affect the individuals quality of life. So, it is always advisable to take prophylactic measures and to provide patient education to detect and prevent adverse events at the earliest

Targeting ie-1 gene by RNAi induces baculoviral resistance in lepidopteran cell lines and in transgenic silkworms

RNA interference (RNAi)-mediated viral inhibition has been used in a few organisms for eliciting viral resistance. In the present study, we report the use of RNAi in preventing baculovirus infection in a lepidopteran. We targeted the baculoviral immediate early-1 (ie-1) gene in both a transformed lepidopteran cell line and in the transgenic silkworm Bombyx mori L. Constitutive expression of double-stranded RNA was achieved by piggyBac-mediated transformation of Sf9 cell line with a transgene encoding double-stranded ie-1 RNA (dsie-1). Strong viral repression was seen at early stages of infection but subsequent recovery of viral proliferation was observed. In contrast, the same transgene inserted into the chromosomes of transgenic silkworms induced long-term inhibition of B. mori nucleopolyhedrovirus infection, with nearly 40% protection compared with nontransgenic animals. Protection was efficient at larval stages after oral infection with occlusion bodies or hemocoel injection of budded viruses. Virus injected pupae also displayed resistance. These results show that heritable RNAi can be used to protect silkworm strains from baculovirus infection

631-635Today’s digital world computations are extremely difficult and always demands essential requirements to significantly process and store an enormous size of datasets. Therefore, this is mostly structured, semi-structured and unstructured generated data with more velocity at beyond the limits and double day by day from a wide variety of applications. In the last decade, many organizations have been facing major problems in handling and processing massive chunks of data, which could not be processed efficiently due to the lack of enhancements on existing technologies. This paper, introduce advanced data processing tools to solve the extreme problems as efficiently by using the most recent and world’s primary powerful Map-Reduce framework, but it has few data processing issues. Therefore, recently Apache Spark fastest tool has introduced to overcome the limitations of Map Reduce
