Lipid profile parameters and oxidative processes intensity in the persons who have been affected by low doses of radiation
The aim of the work was to analyze the relationship between the main parameters of lipid metabolism and the intensity of oxidative processes among the inhabitants of the territories contaminated by radionuclides as a result of the Chornobyl accident. We examined 50 persons from the control group and 50 persons from the territories of strengthened radioecological control (density of soil contamination by isotopes 137Cs 3.7∙104–18.5∙104 Bq/m2, 50 persons). All examined were the students aged 18 to 24, who had no acute illnesses during the study. We determined the parameters of lipid metabolism, oxidative processes and antioxidant system. A positive correlation of all analyzed lipid metabolism parameters (except for HDL-C) with MDA, ceruloplasmin and the index of oxidative stress was discovered. The highest values of correlation coefficients with oxidative stress indices were observed for low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. Under the conditions of additional emotional stress, the correlation coefficients between the main lipid metabolism and the intensity of oxidative processes increased. Persons who lived for a long time in areas contaminated with radionuclides form the risk group for the development and progression of inflammatory processes. The risk increases under the influence of additional factors of a stressful nature
Asymptotic estimates for the widths of classes of functions of high smoothness
We find two-sided estimates for Kolmogorov, Bernstein, linear and projection
widths of the classes of convolutions of -periodic functions ,
such that , with fixed generated kernels
, which have Fourier series of the form
where
in the space . It is shown
that for rapidly decrising sequences (in particular, if
) obtained estimates
are asymptotic equalities. We establish that asymptotic equalities for widths
of this classes are realized by trigonometric Fourier sums.Comment: 14 page
New Candidate Predisposition Genes for Hereditary Breast Cancer: SLIT3, CREB3, USP39
Breast cancer is the most common type of malignant neoplasm in women. BRCA1 and BRCA2 are the most commonly mutated genes, but only up to 30% of hereditary breast cancer cases are attributed to alterations in these genes. A large proportion of genetic causes of hereditary breast cancer remains unknown. Thus, the search for new hereditary mutations and establishing a genetic alteration in each case of hereditary breast cancer is a clinically significant task; be the goal of our research. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) allows for simultaneous analysis of hundreds to thousands of genes at one time. We analyzed the genetic material of 49 patients of the northwest Russian population with clinical signs of hereditary breast cancer and identified new mutations associated with hereditary breast cancer. Research results show two missense mutations - SLIT3 p.Arg154Cys, CREB3 p.Lys157Glu, and truncating mutation - USP39 c.*208G>C. Research conclusion; The identified mutations can explain only a tiny fraction of hereditary breast cancer cases (0.7% to 1.1%). The next step to increase the practical value of the detected alterations should be the analysis of biological characteristics of tumors in carriers of these mutations that can potentially become a target for chemotherapy
Vortex Interferometric Microscopy with Laguerre-Gaussian Beams
In the present research, we discuss the results of analysis of coherent light beams carrying an optical vortex and propagating through the isotropic medium with a complex surface microrelief and its application to super resolution microscopy. It was shown, that phase analysis of singular beam with single charged centered optical vortex allow to retrieve information about sample surface relief. High spatial resolution caused by vortex helical phase sensitivity to disturbances in wave front after reflection or spreading through studying sample, which can be optically transparent or have a reflecting surface. This method applicable for non-destructive testing of live cells and biological tissues in real-time regime with exceeding optical diffraction limit. Vertical resolution of a microscope based on the phase singularity of Laguerre-Gaussian beams of low order can be achieved down to 5,27 nm for helium-neon laser source for optically transparent and reflecting surfaces.

ЕПІДЕМІОЛОГІЧНА ХАРАКТЕРИСТИКА ВІЛ-ІНФЕКЦІЇ НА БУКОВИНІ
SUMMARY. Analysed prevalence of HIV-infection in the Chernivtsi region, where development of epidemic process during many years remains slow. On Bukovyna, as well as in nearby areas, 2010 to distribution of HIV-infection was sufficiently „active”, in 2010 the moderate decline of morbidity was set. By the basic way of transmission of HIV in region of from 1995-2005 to inclusive, was parenterally, mainly through introduction of narcotic matters by an injection way. After 2005 the change of ways of transmission took place with advantage sexual. Кey words: HIV-infection, epidemic process, ways of HIV transmission.
