    PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PROMOSI MELALUI PELATIHAN DESAIN PROMOSI BERBASIS TEKNOLOGI QR-CODE

    Information and communication technology (ICT) contributes significantly to the optimization of the promotional design. QR-Code is one of the technologies that can improve promotional media to be more informative and interactive, especially visual media. The various information embedded in the QR-Code can provide varied impressions to the user. On many occasions, QR-Code can even direct to transactions. This advantage is packaged in a simple appearance because it is a one-dimensional to two-dimensional development of barcodes. These characteristics make QR-Code as a designing promotional media technology that every business actor must mastering. This paper describes the training conducted to improve promotional design skills that are integrated with QR-Code technology. The training is carried out in collaboration with Rumah Siap Kerja, through the video conference platform. The training results show an increase in knowledge and skills in integrating QR-Code technology into promotional media. Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) berkontribusi besar dalam optimasi desain promosi. QR-Code menjadi salah satu pilihan teknologi yang mampu meningkatkan media promosi menjadi lebih informatif dan interaktif, terutama media promosi jenis visual. Berbagai informasi yang ditanamkan dalam QR-Code dapat memberikan impresi yang bervariatif kepada pengguna. Dalam banyak kesempatan, QR-Code bahkan dapat mengarahkan terjadinya transaksi. Keunggulan ini dikemas dalam tampilan yang sederhana karena pada dasarnya merupakan pengembangan barcode satu dimensi ke dua dimensi. Karakteristik ini menjadikan QR-Code sebagai teknologi yang wajib dikuasai oleh setiap pelaku usaha dalam mendesain media promosi. Makalah ini memaparkan pelatihan yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan desain promosi yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi QR-Code. Pelatihan dilaksanakan atas kerjasama dengan Rumah Siap Kerja secara daring melalui platform video conferences. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi QR-Code ke dalam media promosi

    Experimental Breeding of Rare Medicinal Plant Parkia Roxburghii G. Don.

    Kedawung (Ptukia roxburghii G. Don.) is a rare species of medicinal plants. Seeds of this plant are useful to relieve several types of stomach disorders, including cholera.The objective of this study is to examine the effect of several kinds of fertilizers, i.e. compost, "dekastar", droppings of goats and chicken, on the growth of seedlings on latosol soil type. It is expected that the result will give information about the best composition of fertilizer to produce maximum growthof Kedawung seedlings.The result showed that a medium with N composition (40 % soil + 60 % compost) gave the bestresult. Height and diameter increased by 46 %, 16 % and 148.08 % compared to media with 100 % soils.Media N, H (SO % soil and 20 % chicken droppings) and J (60 % soils + 40 % goat droppings) gave similar effect on the height increment of seedlings. The use of compost in various compositions did notshow a significant effect on the diameter growth of Kedawung seedlina.s

    The utilization of plants for fulfill food requirement and healing are the oldest medicinal in the world. Every culture in the world has specific traditional medicine system and in every region has found many plants that can be used as food and medicine. The objective of this research is to study of diversity and utilization food plant and medicine by the people of Palutungan District, Cisantana Village. This research implemented on January until June 2014. Results of the study showed that the number of food plant species used by the Dusun Palutungan was 46 kinds and 56 species for medicinal plants.     Development of Mini / Micro Hydro Power Plant for Rural Electricity in Indonesia

    Indonesia has a lot of water energy resources, some of it could be developed for rural mini / micro hydro power plant. The resources have been estimated to be able to provide electricity of 74,976 MW capacities with annual energy output equal to 401 billion kWh. However, it is only 5% that has been exploited for electricity, 62% in Java and 38% outside Java. This shows that the opportunity to develop electricity from water resources is widely opened especially outside Java. The increase price of fossil fuel has shown an important drive to explore the alternative energy. Development of rural electricity could be initiated by developing mini / micro hydro power plant (PLTMH) in rural area either by PLN or by Private Sector of Middle Small Industry (rural UKM) or by Rural Co-Operative. Schemes to push development of PLTMH have been introduced by the Government and in some areas have been working successfully. Some constraints have been identified and with right and good governance, it is believed that participation of rural society in development of PLTMH to support rural electricity will work successfully

    Performance Evaluation of Rotating Cylinder Type Coffee Bean Roaster

    One strategy attempts to reduce dependence on primary commodity markets are overseas market expansion and development of secondary products. In the secondary product processing coffee beans is required of supporting equipment to facilitate these efforts. Research Center for Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa has developed coffee bean roaster. However, there are still many people who do not know about the technical aspects of roaster machine type of rotating cylinder so that more people use traditional ways to roast coffee beans. In order for the benefits of this machine is better known society it is necessary to study on the technical aspects. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the technical performance of the coffee beans roaster machine type of rotating cylinder. These include the technical aspects of work capacity of the machine, roasting technical efficiency, fuel requirements, and power requirements of using roaster machine. Research methods are including data collection, calculation and analysis. The results showed that the roaster machine type of a rotating cylinder has capacity of 12.3 kg/hour. Roasting efficiency is 80%. Fuel consumption is 0.6 kg. The calculated amount of the used power of current measurement is the average of 0.616 kW
