Anti-de Sitter massless scalar field spacetimes in arbitrary dimensions
We consider -dimensional static spacetimes in Einstein gravity with a
cosmological constant in the presence of a minimally coupled massless scalar
field. The spacetimes have a -dimensional base manifold given by an
Einstein space and the massless scalar field depends only on the radial
coordinate. The field equations are decoupled in the general case, and can be
solved exactly for the cases when either the cosmological constant vanishes or
the base manifold is Ricci flat. We focus on the case of a negative
cosmological constant and a Ricci-flat base manifold. The solution has a
curvature singularity located at the origin, where also the scalar field
diverges. Since there is no event horizon surrounding this singularity, the
solution describes a naked singularity dressed with a nontrivial scalar field.
This spacetime is an asymptotically locally anti-de Sitter one when the
Ricci-flat base manifold is locally flat. The asymptotic solution for an
arbitrary Einstein base manifold is found and the corresponding mass,
calculated through the canonical generator of the time-translation invariance,
is shown to be finite. The contribution to the mass from the scalar field at
infinity is also discussed.Comment: 14 pages, 1 figure. Typos correcte
y progresiva», como lo habÃa sido en la mente de Santo Tomás 3;
y al mismo tiempo el dar a conocer una obra inédita del Maestro de
Prima de la Universidad de Salamanca de los años 1564-1577
Massive inclusion of digital technologies in schools : Argentinian young adolescents' appropriation of computers and the Internet in popular and middle classes
Since the implementation of the Programa Conectar Igualdad (PCI) (Connecting Equality Program) in 2010 in Argentina, numerous Social Science specialists started to research how massive ICT introduction in schools would radically affect teaching and learning processes, knowledge building and youth behaviour. Nevertheless, there is still not much empirical evidence showing the ways in which these technologies are appropriated. This situation discloses the need of placing research questions locally situated with regard to those potential changes. What existing access methods does PCI encounter? And how does its implementation participate in the design of personal and family heterogeneous trajectories of ICTs appropriation? How do the students themselves perceive the infl uence of PCI on their own technologic abilities and competence? How do knowledge and aptitudes associated to new digital media articulate with the knowledge manners promoted by the school format and institutionalism? How does the massive introduction of netbooks affect the interaction among different school actors (students-teachers)? What happens in other sociability and socialization spaces, such as the house and cybercafé?Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educació

Android Malware Clustering through Malicious Payload Mining
Clustering has been well studied for desktop malware analysis as an effective
triage method. Conventional similarity-based clustering techniques, however,
cannot be immediately applied to Android malware analysis due to the excessive
use of third-party libraries in Android application development and the
widespread use of repackaging in malware development. We design and implement
an Android malware clustering system through iterative mining of malicious
payload and checking whether malware samples share the same version of
malicious payload. Our system utilizes a hierarchical clustering technique and
an efficient bit-vector format to represent Android apps. Experimental results
demonstrate that our clustering approach achieves precision of 0.90 and recall
of 0.75 for Android Genome malware dataset, and average precision of 0.98 and
recall of 0.96 with respect to manually verified ground-truth.Comment: Proceedings of the 20th International Symposium on Research in
