Sangam literary poets are meant to express love and heroism. It does not gave much more importance about women's body descriptions. There are many songs in this literature about the feelings of the hero and the heroine. Heroine waiting for the hero who she loves wholeheartedly is emaciated with longing and becomes leans. She soothes herself with the help of nature. She keeps her love life secretly thinking that if she tells anyone else about her love they might think she is wrong. She longs to meet him and spending everyday like a dead person. Between various protests ahe is passing her life through the night and day signs. The heroine who lived as a queen in her home is spoken as a symbol of culture in her husband's home. She leads a life that makes one wonder from where she got knowledge, morals and the development of selflessness. Waiting for the hero in field, her chastity, duty, feminine etc., are well described in this article. The article shows that women enjoys her inner feelings in dream. From a psychological point of view, the dream reveals the inner feelings of the heroine

Comparison Of Modified Dual Ternary Indexing And Multi-Key Hashing Algorithms For Music Information Retrieval

In this work we have compared two indexing algorithms that have been used to index and retrieve Carnatic music songs. We have compared a modified algorithm of the Dual ternary indexing algorithm for music indexing and retrieval with the multi-key hashing indexing algorithm proposed by us. The modification in the dual ternary algorithm was essential to handle variable length query phrase and to accommodate features specific to Carnatic music. The dual ternary indexing algorithm is adapted for Carnatic music by segmenting using the segmentation technique for Carnatic music. The dual ternary algorithm is compared with the multi-key hashing algorithm designed by us for indexing and retrieval in which features like MFCC, spectral flux, melody string and spectral centroid are used as features for indexing data into a hash table. The way in which collision resolution was handled by this hash table is different than the normal hash table approaches. It was observed that multi-key hashing based retrieval had a lesser time complexity than dual-ternary based indexing The algorithms were also compared for their precision and recall in which multi-key hashing had a better recall than modified dual ternary indexing for the sample data considered.Comment: 11 pages, 5 figure

Bcl-2 regulates apoptosis by controlling luminal Ca2+ concentration of endoplasmic reticulum (ER). Dremina et al. reported that Bcl-2 interacts with SERCA, the Ca2+ pump in SR/ER membrane, causing inactivation and translocation. This work reports the characteristics of the SERCA/Bcl-2 interactions using wild type and three mutants, G145E, S24C/C158S and S205C/C158S, of the truncated protein, Bcl-2Δ21. Protein cross-linking, Ca2+-ATPase activity assay, Sucrose Density Gradient fractionation, immunoprecipitation and the fusion protein binding assay are the approaches used. Results reveal that the two proteins can interact with both 1:1 and 2:1 (Bcl-2Δ21: SERCA) molar ratios. The hydrophobic groove of Bcl-2Δ21 is involved in the interactions. The BH1 domain of Bcl-2Δ21 interacts with the ATP binding domain of SERCA. The G145E mutant is a loss-of-function whereas the two Cys-mutants are gain-of-function on SERCA inactivation and translocation. Therefore the conserved residue G145 is a critical hot spot for the Bcl-2Δ21-mediated inactivation and translocation of SERCA

As construction technologies are improved and as we go for advanced technologies in construction of infrastructure facilities the importance of concrete technology is also more demanding. The field of concrete technology has many new admixtures which improves the properties of concrete. Durability and performance of structures are the main focus now. In view of this, apart from just proportioning a concrete mix, researchers are now interested in testing the performance of the material in varied environmental conditions. Service life prediction is the evaluation of the performance of the structure over a period of time. The prediction involves knowledge of materials science, laboratory testing and data from structures that are in service. It is a complex area where interpretation of correct data has been used and it involves systematic approaches. Researchers have used numerous methodologies and mathematical formulae that are used for the service life prediction. Accelerated laboratory tests forms the basis for these kinds of predictions. This paper deals with proportioning of concrete composite that can be used in aggressive marine environment, subject to severe exposure and the service life prediction of the material in such environment. Admixtures play a major role in making concrete durable. This paper discusses the properties of concrete composite that has been customized with silica fume, fly ash and copper slag for improving the strength of concrete. Carbon fibres have been added to resist the impact of sea waves and also to improve the flexural toughness of concrete. As there are various factors that have been considered in proportioning this particular concrete mix, experimental trials have been designed with reference to central composite design of Response Surface methodology using Design Expert software. The trials were cast using these design mixes and tests were conducted for strength properties and durability parameters. The experimental results have been analyzed for ANOVA to test the accuracy of results. Multiple optimizations have been done to get the best mix with maximum strength and minimum durability issues

Development and Rapid Intensification of Tropical Cyclone OCKHI (2017) over the North Indian Ocean

Tropical Cyclone OCKHI over the North Indian Ocean during 2017 underwent dramatic development and rapid intensification very close to the land - Sri Lanka, extreme South Indian coast and Lakshadweep area during its initial developmental stage and caused extensive damages over these areas. On examining the physical and structural mechanism involved in such development, it is observed that the initial development was associated with axi-symmetrisation of the vortex that could be associated with Vortex Rossby waves near the eyewall. Associated with the expulsion of high vorticity from the centre during asymmetry mixing, there was outward propagation of eddy angular momentum flux in the lower levels that strengthened a low level anticyclone to the northeast of the TC centre which in turn enhanced the cyclonic inflow near the TC centre. The rapid intensification phase was associated with vertical non-uniform heating with upper and lower tropospheric warming associated with latent heat release in convection. During the mature phase, the system sustained ‘very severe’ intensity even under increasing vertical shear and lower ocean heat flux under the influence of a break in the sub tropical ridge to the north of the system centre that enhanced the poleward outflow in the upper troposphere

Background: One of the most prevalent chronic respiratory illnesses in children, asthma is becoming a global health concern. It is the main reason for absences from school and the third most common reason for hospitalization in children under the age of 15. Parents, who serve as the patient's main caregiver, are crucial to the disease's management. As a result, the goal of this study is to evaluate the knowledge and attitudes of parents of asthmatic children in order to change them through parental education. Methods: The One group Pretest - Posttest research design is an adaptation of a quantitative research approach. 50 mothers of children with asthma who were being treated in the pediatric medical ward at the Institute of Child Health in Egmore, Chennai, participated in the study., who were chosen using the purposeful sampling method. Pre-testing was done using a structured interview questionnaire to gauge knowledge, and a four-point Likert scale to evaluate attitude, before the mother was tested and educated regarding bronchial asthma through the PowerPoint slides and information pamphlets were distributed. About 5 days later, the post test was performed. Results: The results show that majority of mothers had inadequate knowledge and negative attitude during pre-test and adequate knowledge and positive attitude was gained after Parental pedagogy Program. The enhancement could be statistically tested using a paired t test, which revealed statistical significance at a p-value of 0.001 for the improvement.  Conclusion: It demonstrates that the Parental Pedagogy Program was successful in raising the level of knowledge and attitude among mothers of asthmatic children

Background: A large percentage of young adults suffer from low back pain. Due to their demanding curriculum, medical students are most susceptible. This study aims to assess the frequency and factors associated with low back pain among undergraduate medical students at a college in Bangalore. Methods: An online cross-sectional study using a questionnaire was conducted among undergraduate medical students at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute. SPSS 26.0 was used to analyze the data with a significance level of p <0.05. Results: Of the 250 students enrolled, 45.6% had low back pain. Long hours of sitting were the common factor aggravating the pain. The logistic regression analysis revealed that Phase 3 (part 2) MBBS (OR=2.53, 95% CI: 1.34 - 4.66), overweight (BMI>25) (OR=3.03, 95% CI: 1.42-6.50), coffee consumption regularly (OR=1.761, 95% CI: 1.007-3.009), Family history of LBP (OR=5.900, 95% CI: 3.182-10.939), duration of exercise/sports 1-2 hours per week (OR=1.691, 95% CI: 1.023-2.794), spending >8 hours for electronic gadgets daily (OR=2.02, 95% CI: 1.14-3.59) were found to be independently associated with low back pain. These results demonstrate an increased risk of low back pain among medical students with high BMI, lack of physical activity and increased electronic device usage. Conclusions: It highlights the necessity of focused treatments to control stress, minimize extended periods of sitting, enhance physical activity, and support proper posture among medical students. By preventing and managing low back pain, medical students can improve overall performance and quality of life
