Determination of Silver in Aluminum by Thin Layer Chromatography
Small quantities of silver in technical aluminum can be determined
by TLC on the layer of microcrystalline cellulose after
separation and concentration by coprecipitation with CdS. The
chromatograms were developed by a solvent composed of butanol-
methanol-water-nitric acid in the proportion 80 : 5 : 10 : 5 (v/v).
Visualisation was made with hydrogen sulfide. After scanning
the obtained spots, concentration of silver in the samples was
calculated by comparison with reference spots
Phylogenetically Conditioned Possibilities of the Realization and of the Development of Complex Movements at the Age of 7 Years
Upon entering a school the seven-year olds ( 2 months) underwent a systematic, experimental,
specially programmed, eighteen-month-long transformational procedure.
The objective of the procedure was to develop the abilities and to observe the growth and
the development of children, both girls and boys. The data were processed by means of
discriminant analyses in each of the three control points. There was a total sample of
487 children. With regard to the phylogenetic characteristics of a human, it may be said
that the basic abilities connected with phylogenetic development may be clearly recognized,
precisely in such a way that children replicate this development throughout their
earliest childhood. Most probably, the basic ability was the ability to maintain a postural
balance, followed by the ability of movement control. Then came object manipulation
by upper extremities, followed by the significance of resistance to inertial forces
while moving, and ultimately the control of complex movements of the whole body
Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy with 177Lu-DOTATATE for symptomatic control of refractory carcinoid syndrome
Context: Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) with [Lutetium-177-DOTA-Tyr3]octreotate (177Lu-DOTATATE) results in an increase of progression-free survival and quality of life in patients with progressive, well-differentiated neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs). Objective: To study the effect of 177Lu-DOTATATE in patients with carcinoid syndrome and radiologically stable or newly diagnosed disease treated solely for the purpose of symptom reduction. Design: Retrospective cohort study
Experimental discrimination of ion stopping models near the Bragg peak in highly ionized matter
The energy deposition of ions in dense plasmas is a key process in inertial confinement fusion that determines the Ī±-particle heating expected to trigger a burn wave in the hydrogen pellet and resulting in high thermonuclear gain. However, measurements of ion stopping in plasmas are scarce and mostly restricted to high ion velocities where theory agrees with the data. Here, we report experimental data at low projectile velocities near the Bragg peak, where the stopping force reaches its maximum. This parameter range features the largest theoretical uncertainties and conclusive data are missing until today. The precision of our measurements, combined with a reliable knowledge of the plasma parameters, allows to disprove several standard models for the stopping power for beam velocities typically encountered in inertial fusion. On the other hand, our data support theories that include a detailed treatment of strong ion-electron collisions
The politics of performance: transnationalism and its limits in former Yugoslav popular music, 1999ā2004
This paper examines transnational relations between the Yugoslav successor states from the point of view of popular music, and demonstrates how transnational musical figures (such as Djordje BalaŔevi?, Mom?ilo Bajagi?-Bajaga and Ceca Ražnatovi?) are interpreted as symbolic reference points in national ethnopolitical discourse in the process of identity construction. Another symbolic function is served by Serbian turbofolk artists, who in Croatia serve as a cultural resource to distance oneself from a musical genre associated by many urban Croats with the ruralization (and Herzegovinization) of Croatian city space. In addition, value judgements associated with both Serbian and Croatian newly composed folk music provide an insight into the transnational negotiation of conflicting identities in the ex-Yugoslav context. Ultimately the paper shows how the ethnonational boundaries established by nationalizing ideologies created separate cultural spaces which themselves have been transnationalized after Yugoslavia's disintegration
MotoriÄke razlike kod mladih kick-boksera po kategorijama temeljenim na rezultatskoj uspjeÅ”nosti
The research has been conducted on 69 junior (18-20) and senior (21 and above) kick boxers from Vojvodina. They are classified according to achieved sporting results into four (4) categories: I category - athletes who achieved the best results by winning one of the medals at the World or European championship, II category - athletes who won medals at the international tournaments (competitions), III category - athletes who achieved results by winning one of the medals at the national championship, IV category - athletes who did not achieve any significant results. Discriminant analysis provides three discriminant functions. First function divides I category (most successful athletes) from locally successful (III category). Second function separates groups in the manner that group II (internationally successful) separates from all others. Third function (p>0.05) divides unsuccessful athletes from athletes that accomplish some local result. It is to be concluded that for top result achievement in kick-boxing, it is necessary to direct selection and training in the way that in athletes have to be incorporated complete and integrated assembly with energetic and informatics component of movement regulation, as we speak about general motor dimensions. Surely, in future analyses it has to be built in important information about specific motor knowledge, for completing set of sports knowledge
