Tourism development in local communities: as a community development approach
This article illustrates the role of local communities for tourism development. This study also attempts to highlight the role of tourism local development. This article looks at how local communities can develop tourism in local area. The concepts of community and community development have been important for local tourism development. The implication of this study arises from the fact that there has been little research carried out on interaction between communities and local tourism. Theoretically, the findings of this study enrich the knowledge concerning local tourism industry
Relative periodic orbits in point vortex systems
We give a method to determine relative periodic orbits in point vortex
systems: it consists mainly into perform a symplectic reduction on a fixed
point submanifold in order to obtain a two-dimensional reduced phase space. The
method is applied to point vortices systems on a sphere and on the plane, but
works for other surfaces with isotropy (cylinder, ellipsoid, ...). The method
permits also to determine some relative equilibria and heteroclinic cycles
connecting these relative equilibria.Comment: 27 pages, 17 figure
Community skill & knowledge for tourism development
The objective of this article is to assess the level of community skill and knowledge as wellas barriers of skill and knowledge in tourism development in Shiraz, Iran. It was found thatlevel of community skill and knowledge in the tourism development in local communitiesin low, especially in the modern district of Shiraz is lower than the old district. Regardingto this issue there are some barriers in terms of tourism development. It is the intention of this paper to bring to discussion barriers to skill and knowledge in tourism development. Inthis way, we review literature skill and knowledge and discuss the related barriers of skilland knowledge
Barriers of community capacity building in types of tourism activities
This paper investigates barriers of community capacity building in tourism development base on types of tourism activities. This study was run in local communities of Shiraz, Iran. Questionnaire was used to collect data from community leaders. The focus group discussion also performed to collection data from community residents who were engaged in tourism activates. One way Anova was used to examine the difference barriers of community capacity base on types of tourism activities. According to the survey, results showed barriers of community capacity building in tourism development in handicraft activities higher than other types of tourism activity
A Sawtooth Permanent Magnetic Lattice for Ultracold Atoms and BECs
We propose a new permanent magnetic lattice for creating periodic arrays of
Ioffe-Pritchard permanent magnetic microtraps for holding and controlling
ultracold atoms and Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs). Lattice can be designed
on thin layer of magnetic films such as . In
details, we investigate single layer and two crossed layers of sawtooth
magnetic patterns with thicknesses of 50 and 500nm respectively with a
periodicity of 1m. Trap depth and frequencies can be changed via an
applied bias field to handle tunneling rates between lattice sites. We present
analytical expressions and using numerical calculations show that this lattice
has non-zero potential minima to avoid majorana spin flips. One advantage of
this lattice over previous ones is that it is easier to manufacture.Comment: 8 pages, 6 figure
