La pratica filosofica nell'epoca della post-verità.

Il contributo riflette sulla sfida lanciata dalla post-verità alla pratica filosofica. Il fenomeno della post-verità, a partire dal significato del prefissso post-, comporta un processo di problematizzazione della verità , il quale attiva la dimensione critica della filosofia così come delineata ad esempio da Michel Foucault. Lo scenario aperto dalla post-verità, in questo senso, non si presenta come quello in cui della verità non ne è più niente, bensì quello in cui ci si può fare carico della verità in tutta la sua complessità e articolazioni

The reorganization of healthcare services from the perspective of appropriateness: The experience of the University Hospital "San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d'Aragona" in the management of Diagnosis-Related Group no. 127 - Heart failure and shock|La riorganizzazione delle prestazioni sanitarie in ottica di appropriatezza: L'esperienza dell'AOU “San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d'Aragona” nella gestione del DRG 127 - Insufficienza cardiaca e shock

The article proposes a care path intended to improve the standards of specialist care in the field of heart failure, in compliance with the criteria of effectiveness, efficiency and equity on which the Italian National Health Service (INHS) relies. A case study approach was undertaken. The attention was focused on the experience of the University Hospital “San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d'Aragona” located in Salerno, Southern Italy. In particular, data were collected from with the collaboration of the “Hospital Discharge Form” office. Examining a set of indicators - such as the average hospitalization and percentage of hospitalizations - about the Diagnosis-Related Group no. 127 “Heart failure and intensive cardiology shock” in the financial year 2017, we untangled the criticalities of the existing process and, adopting the Business Process Improvement (BPI) methodology, we proposed a process redesign. Technology, asset management, care paths, training, and monitoring were identified as the primary levers to enhance the standards of specialist care in the field of heart failure

An evaluation of a leisure education intervention for adult male residents in a state minimum-security forensic unit: Leisure resources modules

This study was the collaborative effort of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse faculty (Ardovino) and therapeutic recreation practitioners (Fahey, Sprecher, and Froh). The intent of the project was to study the effectiveness of a specific leisure education intervention called “leisure resources modules” at the Mendota Mental Health Institute in Madison, Wisconsin. The leisure resources modules were designed and modified by Sprecher, Froh, and Fahey and were implemented by them as an intervention over the past 10 years in a minimum-security forensic unit. The modules studied were overview of leisure resources, use of the telephone book, use of the library, and use of the newspaper. The intervention was evaluated by examining scores from initial and postintervention screens from the past 6 years. These scores measured the competencies of adult males residing in the minimum security unit. Descriptive statistics were derived from the data, and a paired t test showed a significant difference at the 0.01 level, indicating that the leisure resources modules were an effective leisure education intervention for this population.</jats:p

CYP17 and CYP19 gene polymorphisms in women affected with endometriosis

Objective: To investigate whether CYP17 T>C polymorphism and polymorphisms C1558T and Val80 of CYP19 are related to endometriosis. Design: Clinical study.Patient(s): Women affected with endometriosis (n ¼ 104) and control group (n ¼ 86). The diagnosis of endometriosis was confirmed by the histologic examination of the endometriotic lesions. Result(s): In patients affected with endometriosis, we observed that AA and CC genotypes were significantly represented in Val80 and C1558T polymorphisms of CYP19. Conclusion(s): The molecular mechanisms that underlie the development of endometriosis are unclear. Both environmental and genetic factors are involved in the pathogenesis of the disease. The inheritable susceptibility to endometriosis justifies the growing interest in identifying genes and/or genetic polymorphisms that predispose women to an increased risk of developing endometriosis. I Trattati inediti degli anni Trenta e Quaranta propongono l'elaborazione della domanda sull'essere in maniera radicale, seguendo la stessa dinamica di superamento/involgimento dell'essere nella sua verità quale evento dell'inizio. In questo movimento di inabissamento dell'essere in direzione del carattere iniziale della sua essenza quale inizio è catturato anche l'ente e la sua differenza dall'essere. L'intento del contributo è quello di dar conto del modo in cui, soprattutto nei Trattati degli anni Quaranta ("Über Den Anfang" e "Das Ereignis"), Heidegger ripensi e ridefinisca il rapporto tra l'essere e l'ente
