ABSTRACT Munafidloh, Laelatul, 2017. “The difference of Compound Verbs ~hajimeru, ~dasu, and ~kakeru in Japanese language in terms of structure and meaning”. Thesis of Japanese Bachelor program, Diponegoro University. First thesis counselor Dra. Sri Puji Astuti, M. Pd. Second thesis counselor Elizabeth Ika HANR, S. S, M. Hum. This thesis is studying the difference of compound verbs ~hajimeru, ~dasu, and ~kakeru in Japanese language in terms of structure and meaning. The compound verbs of ~hajimeru, ~dasu and ~kakeru which expresses the innovative aspects or the aspects that expresses the beginning of circumstances and an activity which have appeared in so many times through conversations or even books. The three of compound verbs have the same meaning. They all mean “begin”. For those people who learn Japanese as a foreign language found any difficulties in understanding what’s the difference between ~hajimeru, ~dasu, and ~kakeru. That is the main reason why the writer finds the topic very intriguing. The intention of this research is to describe the equation and the difference between ~hajimeru, ~dasu, and ~kakeru in terms of its structure and meaning. The scope of this study is only through the aspects and semantics. The method used in this analyzing data is called distributional method, as for describing the results of analysis the writer used a descriptive method. Even though the compound verbs ~hajimeru, ~dasu, and ~ kakeru have the same meaning (begin), the three of them have a different initial situation. The compound verbs ~hajimeru states the beginning of an event that is likely to reach the end point. The compound verbs ~dasu states the beginning of a circumstances that occur suddenly. The compound verbs ~kakeru is an activity or circumstances that stopped even before it reaches its beginning and also an activity which has been started for a while. Finally, the conclusion from this research is that there are more compound verbs in Japanese which have the same meaning and the same aspects. The writer expects there will be further research about this compound verb especially in Japanese study. Keywords: hajimeru, dasu, kakeru, fukugou doushi, aspec

Measurement of kinematic and nuclear dependence of R = σ_L/σ_T in deep inelastic electron scattering

We report results on a precision measurement of the ratio R=σ_L/σ_T in deep inelastic electron-nucleon scattering in the kinematic range 0.2≀x≀0.5 and 1≀Q^2≀10 (GeV/c)^2. Our results show, for the first time, a clear falloff of R with increasing Q^2. Our R results are in agreement with QCD predictions only when corrections for target mass effects and some additional higher twist effects are included. At small x, the data on R favor structure functions with a large gluon contribution. We also report results on the differences R_A-R_D and the cross section ratio σ^A/σ^D between Fe and Au nuclei and the deuteron. Our results for R_A-R_D are consistent with zero for all x, Q^2 indicating that possible contributions to R from nuclear higher twist effects and spin-0 constituents in nuclei are not different from those in nucleons. The ratios σ^A/σ^D from all recent experiments, at all x, Q^2 values, are now in agreement

Constraints from Unrealistic Vacua in Supersymmetric Standard Model with Neutrino Mass Operators

We analyze a scalar potential of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with neutrino mass operators along Unbounded-From-Below (UFB) and Color and/or Charged Breaking (CCB) directions. We show necessary conditions to avoid the potential minima which can be deeper than the realistic vacuum. These conditions would constrain more strongly than conditions in the MSSM without taking into account neutrino mass operators, and can improve the predictive power of supersymmetric models with neutrino mass operators.Comment: 11 pages, 4 figure

The role of psychological distance in value creation

    Get PDF
Purpose – The field of service research has devoted consider able attention to the customer's role as value creator, but there is a lack of research on understanding customers' psychological processes in value creation. This paper highlights the importance of psychological distance in value-creation processes. Psychological distance is the customer's perceived distance from service interactions in terms of spatial distance, temporal distance social distance and hypothetical distance. Critically, psychological distance influences cognitive processes and can influence how customers think and feel about the service interaction. An appreciation of psychological distance within service contexts can help managers to tailor the interaction in order to facilitate value creation. Methodology/approach – In this conceptual paper, we build on psychology research and service research to develop seven propositions that explore how psychological distance can operate within service interactions and how this might influence value creation. Findings – We divide the propositions into three sections. The first concerns how perceived psychological distance from the service interaction can act as a barrier to entering a service interaction. In particular, we consider the influence of social distance and spatial distance within the context of service interactions. The second section examines how psychological distance to the expected point of service use can influence how customers construe the service and the value creation. The third aspect addresses customer-specific characteristics that can impact on value creation by influencing perceived psychological distance toward the service
