On Saaty's and Koczkodaj's inconsistencies of pairwise comparison matrices
The aim of the paper is to obtain some theoretical and numerical properties of Saaty’s and Koczkodaj’s inconsistencies of pairwise comparison matrices (PRM). In the case of 3 × 3 PRM, a differentiable one-to-one correspondence is given between Saaty’s inconsistency ratio and Koczkodaj’s inconsistency index based on the elements of PRM. In order to make a comparison of Saaty’s and Koczkodaj’s inconsistencies for 4 × 4 pairwise comparison matrices, the average value of the maximal eigenvalues of randomly generated n × n PRM is formulated, the elements aij (i < j) of which were randomly chosen from the ratio scale ... ...
with equal probability 1/(2M − 1) and a ji is defined as 1/a ij . By statistical analysis, the empirical distributions of the maximal eigenvalues of the PRM depending on the dimension number are obtained. As the dimension number increases, the shape of distributions gets similar to that of the normal ones. Finally, the inconsistency of asymmetry is dealt with, showing a different type of inconsistency
Hadronization within the Non-Extensive Approach and the Evolution of the Parameters
We review transverse momentum distributions of various identified charged
particles stemming from high energy collisions fitted by various non-extensive
distributions as well as by the usual Boltzmann-Gibbs statistics. We
investigate the best-fit formula with the obtained values. We find
that the physical mass and scaling become more explicit with heavier
produced hadrons in both proton-proton and heavy-ion collisions. The spectral
shape parameters, in particular the temperature and the non-extensive
Tsallis parameter , do exhibit an almost linear dependence with the
centrality-dependence in heavy-ion collisions.Comment: 18 pages, 13 figure
Higher order anisotropies in the Buda-Lund model: Disentangling flow and density field anisotropies
The Buda-Lund hydro model describes an expanding ellipsoidal fireball, and
fits the observed elliptic flow and oscillating HBT radii successfully. Due to
fluctuations in energy depositions, the fireball shape however fluctuates on an
event-by-event basis. The transverse plane asymmetry can be translated into a
series of multipole anisotropy coefficients. These anisotropies then result in
measurable momentum-space anisotropies, to be measured with respect to their
respective symmetry planes. In this paper we detail an extension of the
Buda-Lund model to multipole anisotropies and investigate the resulting flow
coefficients and oscillations of HBT radii.Comment: 1 column format, 20 pages, 10 figure
Szemcsés anyagok sztatikus és dinamikai szerkezete = Static and dynamical structure of granular materials
Számítógépes szimulációkkal vizsgáltuk a mágneses szemcsék lavináinak tulajdonságait. Tanulmányoztuk a nyírási sávok kialakulását három dimenzióban, triaxiális elrendezésben. Kidolgoztuk a nyírási sávok numerikus azonosításának technikáját. A kísérletekkel egyezésben elmozdulási keményedést azonosítottunk. | Using computer simulations we studied the properties of avalanches of magnetic grains. The system is characterized by the ratio f of the magnetic and gravitational interaction. The angle of repose and the surface roughness vary linearly with f. Similarly to cohesive systems, we could distinguish two regimes from the point of view of the avalanche dynamics. We investigated the formation of shear bands in three dimensional axisymmetric arrangement. We constructed the techniques of identifying the sear bands. We found symmetry breaking bands whenever the external constraints did not hinder them. In agreement with experiments we found strain hardening. Within the band a critical density developed, which, in the infinite friction limit, had a value depending only on the shape of the grains. We generalized our earlier theory of the shear bands. The new model describes the experiments in the modified Couette-cell excellently. We predicted and proved by simulations that on the boundary of two media with different frictions refraction of shear bands takes place, similarly to the refraction of light. We investigated the effects of perturbations of the jammed state. We found power law decay in the displacement field where the exponent is a non-trivial function of the friction, similarly to the critical force and the penetration depth. These non-monotonic dependences were related to the friction-dependence of fluctuations in the force network found earlier static packings
Hadron Spectra Parameters within the Non-Extensive Approach
We investigate how the non-extensive approach works in high-energy physics.
Transverse momentum () spectra of several hadrons are fitted by various
non-extensive momentum distributions and by the Boltzmann--Gibbs statistics.~It
is shown that some non-extensive distributions can be transferred one into
another.~We find explicit hadron mass and center-of-mass energy {scaling both
in the temperature and in the non-extensive parameter, ,} in proton--proton
and heavy-ion collisions. We find that the temperature depends linearly, but
the Tsallis follows a logarithmic dependence on the collision energy in
proton--proton collisions. In the nucleus--nucleus collisions, on~the other
hand, and correlate linearly, as was predicted in our previous work.Comment: 8 pages, 3 figure
Prototype MEMS Capacitive Pressure Sensor Design and Manufacturing.
This paper is intended to describe the design and manufacturing aspects of a simple micromachined capacitive pressure sensor working in the pressure range of 0-1000 mbar. 500 µm thick Borofloat® 33 glass and silicon wafers were used as substrates. The basic transducer structure consists of a rectangular silicon membrane as deformable electrode and a fix aluminum electrode formed on the glass surface. In order to determine the exact geometry of the silicon electrode structure numerical models and simulations were applied. The thin silicon membrane was fabricated by Si bulk micromachining, i.e. anisotropic alkaline etching with electrochemical etch-stop. The two wafers were bonded together at low temperature by anodic bonding. After bonding and dicing the wafers the pressure sensors were characterized mechanically and functionally also. Our results demonstrate the functional behavior of the manufactured sensor structures and provide excellent verification of the preliminary expectations based on theoretical calculations and electro-mechanical simulations
HBT radii from the multipole Buda-Lund model
The Buda-Lund model describes an expanding hydrodynamical system with
ellipsoidal symmetry and fits the observed elliptic flow and oscillating HBT
radii successfully. The ellipsoidal symmetry can be characterized by the second
order harmonics of the transverse momentum distribution, and it can be also
observed in the azimuthal oscillation of the HBT radii measured versus the
second order reaction plane. The model may have to be changed to describe the
experimentally indicated higher order asymmetries. In this paper we detail an
extension of the Buda-Lund hydro model to investigate higher order flow
harmonics and the triangular dependence of the azimuthally sensitive HBT radii.Comment: 4 pages, 6 figures. Presented at the 11th Workshop on Particle

A nehézion ütközésekben létrehozott új anyag tulajdonságainak vizsgálata = Investigation of a new form of matter produced in heavy ion reactions
A Phys. Rev. Ezeket a kísérleti eredményeket részletes elméleti hidrodinamikai publikációkkal is alátámasztottuk. | Two renowned papers highlight the main results of this OTKA project. The first paper summarized the results of the first years of PHENIX measurements at RHIC. This paper reported, that in Au+Au collisions at RHIC a new, hot and dense form of matter is created. Expectations suggested that at high temperatures and energy densities a gas of quasi free quarks and gluons will be created. Instead, a fluid phase consisting of strongly interacting quarks and gluons has been observed. This paper and the discovery of a nearly perfect fluid at RHIC received 869 citations by the time of filing this grant report. Another milestone PHENIX paper was published in the Physical Review Letters in early 2010 about the direct photon spectrum in Au+Au collisions at RHIC. For the first time in a refereed scientific journal, initial temperatures of at least 300 MeV were reported. These data indicate the first experimental determination of the initial temperature of the quark-gluon plasma created in Au+Au collisions at RHIC. We have supplemented these results with detailed theoretical publications. We have published fundamental theoretical papers in the theory of non-extensive thermodynamics and its applications in high energy heavy ion physics, we have continued to develop the ALCOR and the Buda-Lund hydrodynamical models, and achieved several new results in the field of quantum-statistical correlations and the applications of quantum-optical methods to the field of high energy physics
