Performance of the CMS High Granularity Calorimeter prototype to charged pion beams of 20-300 GeV/c

The upgrade of the CMS experiment for the high luminosity operation of the LHC comprises the replacement of the current endcap calorimeter by a high granularity sampling calorimeter (HGCAL). The electromagnetic section of the HGCAL is based on silicon sensors interspersed between lead and copper (or copper tungsten) absorbers. The hadronic section uses layers of stainless steel as an absorbing medium and silicon sensors as an active medium in the regions of high radiation exposure, and scintillator tiles directly readout by silicon photomultipliers in the remaining regions. As part of the development of the detector and its readout electronic components, a section of a silicon-based HGCAL prototype detector along with a section of the CALICE AHCAL prototype was exposed to muons, electrons and charged pions in beam test experiments at the H2 beamline at the CERN SPS in October 2018. The AHCAL uses the same technology as foreseen for the HGCAL but with much finer longitudinal segmentation. The performance of the calorimeters in terms of energy response and resolution, longitudinal and transverse shower profiles is studied using negatively charged pions, and is compared to GEANT4 predictions. This is the first report summarizing results of hadronic showers measured by the HGCAL prototype using beam test data.Comment: To be submitted to JINS

Analysis of Vibration loosening of bolted fasteners

A significant advantage of a bolted joint over other joint types, such as welded and riveted joints, is that they are capable of being dismantled. This feature however, can cause problems if it unintentionally occurs as a result of operational conditions. Such unintentional loosening, frequently called vibration loosening in much of the published literature. It is widely believed that vibration causes bolt loosening. By far the most frequent cause of loosening is side sliding of the nut or bolt head relative to the joint, resulting in relative motion occurring in the threads. If this does not occur, then the bolts will not loosen, even if the joint is subjected to severe vibration. By a detailed analysis of the joint it is possible to determine the clamp force required to be provided by the bolts to prevent joint slip. Junker's vibration test rig is the most popular method to measure the vibration loosening of bolts or commonly referred to as bolt decay phenomenon. The Junkers vibration test rig uses a special form spring to connect the eccentric arrangement for providing vibration to the test specimen .Commonly used material for the material of this form spring steel in the tempered form

A review of economics, entrepreneurial behaviour, and marketing analysis of pomegranate growers

India has always been known in the world for its Rural Based Economy, as nearly 65% of its population is dependent on Agriculture &other rural businesses. According to the census of India, 2011, the population of India is more than 1.21 billion and out of it, 72.2% population belong to the rural area. So, the study of rural development is very much required in India. One of the oldest well-known fruits, found in writings and artifacts of many cultures and religions, the pomegranate (Punicagranatum) is an original native of Persia.  Maharashtra is known as the Fruit mixing bowl of India. Pomegranate cultivation now is a very captivating and remunerative big business for farmers in India promising financial return from this crop has resulted in an increase in area and production of pomegranate. The present investigation focused on “A Review of Economics, Entrepreneurial Behaviour, and Marketing Analysis of Pomegranate Growers.” Therefore, in view of pomegranate as a very important crop and its increased utilization in industrial applications, it is traded in domestic and also international markets. This market has become more speculative, and therefore pomegranates were purposefully selected for the study.&nbsp

Early presentation of ruptured post-traumatic hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm

Visceral artery aneurysms (VAA) are an uncommon but well recognized condition. Hepatic artery aneurysms (HAA) represent 14-20% of all visceral artery aneurysms. Post traumatic hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm is an uncommon delayed complication of blunt liver trauma. Here we present a case of a 27 year old male with blunt abdominal trauma who developed a post traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the hepatic artery just proximal to its bifurcation into the left and right branches. The pseudoaneurysm ruptured within 12 hours of injury and he required double ligation of the hepatic artery as well as right and left hepatic arteries . However, the bleeding continued through the retrograde flow from the gastroduodenal artery and hence, ligation of gastrodudenal artery was also done. The decision of complete devasularisation of liver was taken as an emergency lifesaving procedure. The patient recovered and was discharged without sequel

Plastic bottles are generally used for the consumption purpose may be it is solid, liquid, or gaseous material. We all know that the plastic is non-decomposable material and if it gets decompose it takes 1000 of years. While bio-degradation it releases toxic fumes which is very harmful to the environment. So we are using plastic bottles in our construction. We are filling these plastic bottles by the fly ash with very proper compaction and replacing bricks in the construction by these bottles

    Power Modelling Of L.c.d. Display

Now days most of embedded system used are battery operated. To predict the battery life, power consumption at various levels, like software and power taken by peripheral devices should be known in advance. The components of total power consumption are software power & power taken by peripheral devices these should be known to the designer. In this paper for prediction the modelling of L.C.D. by using statistical tools i.e. regression analysis. Here we must understand how much power required to display a particular character
