Microscopic model of diffusion limited aggregation and electrodeposition in the presence of levelling molecules
A microscopic model of the effect of unbinding in diffusion limited
aggregation based on a cellular automata approach is presented. The geometry
resembles electrochemical deposition - ``ions'' diffuse at random from the top
of a container until encountering a cluster in contact with the bottom, to
which they stick. The model exhibits dendritic (fractal) growth in the
diffusion limited case. The addition of a field eliminates the fractal nature
but the density remains low. The addition of molecules which unbind atoms from
the aggregate transforms the deposit to a 100% dense one (in 3D). The molecules
are remarkably adept at avoiding being trapped. This mimics the effect of
so-called ``leveller'' molecules which are used in electrochemical deposition
Strategy bifurcation and spatial inhomogeneity in a simple model of competing sellers
We present a simple one-parameter model for spatially localised evolving
agents competing for spatially localised resources. The model considers selling
agents able to evolve their pricing strategy in competition for a fixed market.
Despite its simplicity, the model displays extraordinarily rich behavior. In
addition to ``cheap'' sellers pricing to cover their costs, ``expensive''
sellers spontaneously appear to exploit short-term favorable situations. These
expensive sellers ``speciate'' into discrete price bands. As well as variety in
pricing strategy, the ``cheap'' sellers evolve a strongly correlated spatial
structure, which in turn creates niches for their expensive competitors. Thus
an entire ecosystem of coexisting, discrete, symmetry-breaking strategies
arises.Comment: 6 pages, 6 figures, epl2; 1 new figure, include nash equilibrium

New Eco-gas mixtures for the Extreme Energy Events MRPCs: results and plans
The Extreme Energy Events observatory is an extended muon telescope array,
covering more than 10 degrees both in latitude and longitude. Its 59 muon
telescopes are equipped with tracking detectors based on Multigap Resistive
Plate Chamber technology with time resolution of the order of a few hundred
picoseconds. The recent restrictions on greenhouse gases demand studies for new
gas mixtures in compliance with the relative requirements. Tetrafluoropropene
is one of the candidates for tetrafluoroethane substitution, since it is
characterized by a Global Warming Power around 300 times lower than the gas
mixtures used up to now. Several mixtures have been tested, measuring
efficiency curves, charge distributions, streamer fractions and time
resolutions. Results are presented for the whole set of mixtures and operating
conditions, %. A set of tests on a real EEE telescope, with cosmic muons, are
being performed at the CERN-01 EEE telescope. The tests are focusing on
identifying a mixture with good performance at the low rates typical of an EEE
telescope.Comment: 8 pages, 6 figures, proceedings for the "XIV Workshop on Resistive

Penggunaan Pupuk Hayati dan Pupuk Npk untuk Menekan Penyakit Layu dan Meningkatkan Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Kacang Panjang (Vigna Sinencis L.)
The use of either liquid or carrier-based biofertilizers reduced the application of excessive inorganic fertilizers. The purpose of this research was to verified the effect of biofertilizer application of Bokelas Plus (BP) and NPK inorganic fertilizer on the intensity of dumping off diseases, growth and yield of long bean plants. The experiment have been done in experimental field of Agricultural Extension Center of Baguala Sub-district in Nania Village, Ambon city. The treatments were 400 kg NPK / ha, 300 kg NPK / ha, 200 kg NPK / ha, 75 kg BP / ha + 400 kg NPK / Ha, 75 kg BP / ha + 300 kg NPK / ha, and 75 kg BP / ha + 200 kg NPK / ha. The results showed that the application of biofertilizer BP and NPK fertilizer affected intensity of wilt disease caused by Scerotium rolfsii pathogen, plant height, long and pea pod weight. The best dose was 75 kg BP / ha + 300 kg NPK / ha. This experiment suggest that BP biofertilizer reduced the use of NPK fertilizer by 25%
Study of the Pion Trajectory in the Photoproduction of Leading Neutrons at HERA
Energetic neutrons produced in ep collisions at HERA have been studied with the ZEUS detector in the photoproduction regime at a mean photon-proton center-of-mass energy of 220 GeV. The neutrons carry a large fraction 0.6
