Dislocation nucleation in shocked fcc solids: effects of temperature and preexisting voids

Quantitative behaviors of shock-induced dislocation nucleation are investigated by means of molecular dynamics simulations on fcc Lennard-Jones solids: a model Argon. In perfect crystals, it is found that Hugoniot elastic limit (HEL) is a linearly decreasing function of temperature: from near-zero to melting temperatures. In a defective crystal with a void, dislocations are found to nucleate on the void surface. Also HEL drastically decreases to 15 percent of the perfect crystal when a void radius is 3.4 nanometer. The decrease of HEL becomes larger as the void radius increases, but HEL becomes insensitive to temperature.Comment: 4 pages. (ver.2) All figures have been revised. Two citations are newly added. Numerical unit is unified in the context of solid argon. (ver. 3) A minor revision including new reference

The extension aims to change the farmers or peasent behavior; koqnitive, affective, andpsychomotorict. Therefore, the impact of extensional activities can be done byinvestigating the changing of peasents behavior. The purpose of this research is to learndirectly about impact of Extension in changing of Peasents' behavior in SidomulyoBarat Village, and analyze the significant variables which partially explain the role ofextensionists. The method analysis was regression while it used 30 peasents asrespondents. The results showed, firstly, the roles of extensionist as educator, dissemination information/ innovation, facilitators, and consultant are high. It means theextensionists' have been doing their task seriously. Secondly, the significant variablesof extensionists' role that affect to peasent's behavior are dissemination andsupervision. Keywords: Analysis of Impact, Extension, Change of behavior, Peasants

A new spirit across sectors: Constructing a common justification for corporate volunteering

Corporate volunteering is an activity located at the intersection of the corporate and nonprofit spheres. Its coordination and implementation create interesting encounters between professionals from both sectors. This article adopts a pragmatic sociological approach to analysing the discursive processes that nurture or hinder these encounters and the corporate volunteering activities they aim to produce. It brings to the fore the nonprofit perspective by analysing 39 semi-structured interviews with Dutch and Belgian nonprofit professionals who were engaged in corporate volunteering coordination. The study shows that a flexible and project-oriented justification regime, which is mainly promoted by nonprofits that match companies with other nonprofits, creates a common discursive terrain that nurtures cross-sectoral collaboration. Other justification regimes, particularly the civic one, are increasingly marginalised, as they are perceived as hindering collaboration rather than enabling it. Thus the proliferation of corporate volunteering, and the dominance of the project-oriented justification that is intertwined with it, together challenge classical identifications of the nonprofit sector with civic action

The main problems in this research were, first, how is the participation of local governments in realizing children-friendly city/district (KLA) in Indonesia. Second, what are the factors that affect the local governments in realizing children-friendly city/district in Indonesia. This was a normative legal research; legal materials were analyzed using descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the research showed that: first, the forms of participation of the local governments in fulfilling children's rights so that they deserve to be declared as KLA are: 1) Civil Rights and Freedom; 2) Family and Alternative Nursery; 3) Disability, Basic Health and Welfare; 4) Education, Utilization of Leisure Time and Cultural Activities; and 5) Special Protection. Second, there are several factors that affect how a region becomes KLA: 1) Legislation and policies on the fulfillment of children's rights; 2) Budget for the fulfillment of children's rights; 3) The number of legislations, policies, programs and activities that get input from children forum and other children groups; 4) Availability of KLA-trained human resources who are able to integrate children's rights into policies, programs and activities; 5) Availability of children's data by sex, age, and sub-districts; 6) Involvement of community institutions in the fulfillment of children's rights; and 7) Involvement of business in the fulfillment of children's rights

This study aims to examine the effect of foreign ownership on firm value, the influence of ownership concentrated on firm value, the influence of the environmental disclosure on firm value. The population used in this study is a manufacturing company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2017. Samples were determined by using purposive sampling method and obtained sample of 13 companies with a total of 134 observations. Data analysis was done by multiple regression analysis using SPSS program. The results of the research indicate that: 1) foreign ownership influences on firm value, 2) ownership concentrated influences on firm value, 3) environmental disclosure influences on firm value

This research was conducted at Teluk Kuatan Market, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The aim of the study was to determine the level of profit and to know the response of carcass, offal, head, claw and brackish prices to retailers' income. Data were analyzed using multiple regression equations. Model estimation is done by using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) estimation technique with the SPSS-17 program. The results showed that the broiler marketing business in the Teluk Kuantan market benefited this from the results of the analysis of Revenue Cost Ratio, the results of the R / C> 1 analysis showed that the total revenues obtained were greater than the total production costs incurred so that the business activities carried out by retailers in marketing broilers they have benefited. The results of the estimation research on each variable towards (carcass, offal, head, claw and brutu) have a significant influence on the income of retailers. The increase in carcass and offal prices can increase the income of retailers, this is evident that carcasses and edible offal are parts of chicken that have high value and are the most important part for sale.   Keywords: marketing, price response, broiler
