New fields on super Riemann surfaces
A new -dimensional super vector bundle which exists on any super
Riemann surface is described. Cross-sections of this bundle provide a new class
of fields on a super Riemann surface which closely resemble holomorphic
functions on a super Riemann surface, but which (in contrast to the case with
holomorphic functions) form spaces which have a well defined dimension which
does not change as odd moduli become non-zero.Comment: 12pp, kcl-th-94-
Isolated vacua in supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories
An explicit proof of the existence of nontrivial vacua in the pure
supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories with higher orthogonal SO(N), N>=7 or the
G_2 gauge group defined on a 3-torus with periodic boundary conditions is
given. Extra vacuum states are separated by an energy barrier from the
perturbative vacuum A_i=0 and its gauge copies.Comment: 8 pages, no figures, late
Dual generators of the fundamental group and the moduli space of flat connections
We define the dual of a set of generators of the fundamental group of an
oriented two-surface of genus with punctures and the
associated surface with a disc removed. This dual is
another set of generators related to the original generators via an involution
and has the properties of a dual graph. In particular, it provides an algebraic
prescription for determining the intersection points of a curve representing a
general element of the fundamental group with the
representatives of the generators and the order in which these intersection
points occur on the generators. We apply this dual to the moduli space of flat
connections on and show that when expressed in terms both, the
holonomies along a set of generators and their duals, the Poisson structure on
the moduli space takes a particularly simple form. Using this description of
the Poisson structure, we derive explicit expressions for the Poisson brackets
of general Wilson loop observables associated to closed, embedded curves on the
surface and determine the associated flows on phase space. We demonstrate that
the observables constructed from the pairing in the Chern-Simons action
generate of infinitesimal Dehn twists and show that the mapping class group
acts by Poisson isomorphisms.Comment: 54 pages, 13 .eps figure
3D Image Plane from Stereo Camera Calibration on Extrinsic Parameters in Stereo Vision Aplication
This paper presents a 3D image plane in a group of target or image during the process of stereo pair calibration. The extrinsic parameters of camera calibration can be viewed in 3D image or scene which contains the rotation and translation of vector. The error re-projection of a single image could determine the less error of distortion during the extraction of chessboard corner each image taken. The distortion model also generates an error coordinate system in pixel value. The 3D image will viewed the result and output of extrinsic parameters during the calibration process.
The Polyakov action on the supertorus
A consistent method for obtaining a well-defined Polyakov action on the
supertorus is presented. This method uses the covariantization of derivative
operators and enables us to construct a Polyakov action which is globally
defined.Comment: 15 pages LaTe
On duality symmetries of supergravity invariants
The role of duality symmetries in the construction of counterterms for
maximal supergravity theories is discussed in a field-theoretic context from
different points of view. These are: dimensional reduction, the question of
whether appropriate superspace measures exist and information about non-linear
invariants that can be gleaned from linearised ones. The former allows us to
prove that F-term counterterms cannot be E7(7)-invariant in D=4, N=8
supergravity or E6(6)-invariant in D=5 maximal supergravity. This is confirmed
by the two other methods which can also be applied to D=4 theories with fewer
supersymmetries and allow us to prove that N=6 supergravity is finite at three
and four loops and that N=5 supergravity is three-loop finite.Comment: Clarification of arguments and their consistency with higher
dimensional divergences added, e.g. we prove the 5D 4L non-renormalisation
theorem. The 4L N=6 divergence is also ruled out. References adde
Induced Polyakov supergravity on Riemann surfaces of higher genus
An effective action is obtained for the , induced supergravity on a
compact super Riemann surface (without boundary) of genus ,
as the general solution of the corresponding superconformal Ward identity. This
is accomplished by defining a new super integration theory on
which includes a new formulation of the super Stokes theorem and residue
calculus in the superfield formalism. Another crucial ingredient is the notion
of polydromic fields. The resulting action is shown to be well-defined and free
of singularities on \sig. As a by-product, we point out a morphism between
the diffeomorphism symmetry and holomorphic properties.Comment: LPTB 93-10, Latex file 20 page
Eggshell coated grey cast iron for corrosion applications
In many years, corrosion has been such issues for carbon steel. Eggshell waste is believed to be a potential coating material for carbon steel in many applications. This paper introduces the use of eggshell waste which contains a source of calcium carbonate as corrosion prevention coating material on the grey cast iron by utilizing electrophoretic deposition (EPD) method. Eggshell consisted of 94-95 % of calcium carbonate in the form of calcite and others. Thus, calcium carbonate precipitation can serve as naturally formed coating on the cast iron pipe and prevent diffusion of oxygen that can direct to corrosion. Besides, this method will also prevent the lengthy and complex corrosion control piping system. In this study, the eggshell has been successfully coated on the grey cast iron substrate with optimum condition of 80 V for 1 minute deposition time at the sintering temperature of 600°C. From the preliminary work, thin and uniform coating thickness were produced at 1 minute deposition time and moderate voltage values of 60 - 80V
