Floating Zone Growth of Pure and Pb-Doped Bi-2201 Crystals
In this review, we summarize recent progress in crystal growth and understanding of the influence of crystal structure on superconductivity in pure and Pb-doped Bi2Sr2CuOy (Bi-2201) materials belonging to the overdoped region of high-temperature cuprate superconductors. The crystal growth of Bi-2201 superconductors faces challenges due to intricate materials chemistry and the lack of knowledge of corresponding phase diagrams. Historically, a crucible-free floating zone method emerged as the most promising growth approach for these materials, resulting in high-quality single crystals. This review outlines the described methods in the literature and the authors’ synthesis endeavors encompassing Pb-doped Bi-2201 crystals, provides a detailed structural characterization of as-grown and post-growth annealed samples, and highlights optimal growth conditions that yield large-size, single-phase, and compositionally homogeneous Bi-2201 single crystals
DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTERVENTION TO PROMOTE SELF-CARE: NEEDS ASSESSMENT
The global societal challenges reveal decreased ability of people to maintain health and well-being when faced with prolonged stress conditions. Increases in anxiety, depression, and burnout are reported worldwide. The recent research indicates self-care as a useful resource to promote health and well-being and strengthen psychological resilience. The importance and attainability of self-care strategies are the characteristics that may indicate the necessity for self-care behaviour changes by identifying an internal conflict between the two. However, little is known about the determinants of self-care practicing according one’s needs. The study aimed to explore the experts’ perspectives on self-care needs among clinically healthy adults. The risks caused by inadequate self-care practices and the determinants of self-care behaviour change were identified. The interviews with 12 experts in arts therapies and/or health psychology were conducted. The qualitative content analysis was used to process the data. Psychological, health-related, and social risks were the categories of risks identified. The determinants of self-care behaviour change were categorized as knowledge, self-efficacy, attitude, perceived cues to action, planning, awareness, social support, and motivation. The identified items will contribute to evidence-based development of the intervention to promote self-care.
A weak-coupling superconductivity in the electron doped NaFeCoAs is revealed by ARPES
We report a systematic study on the electronic structure and superconducting
(SC) gaps in electron doped NaFeCoAs superconductor using
angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. Hole-like Fermi sheets are at the
zone center and electron-like Fermi sheets are at the zone corner, and are
mainly contributed by and orbital characters. Our results reveal a
in the range of 1.8-2.1, suggesting a weak-coupling
superconductivity in these compounds. Gap closing above the transition
temperature () shows the absence of pseudogaps. Gap evolution with
temperature follow the BCS gap equation near the , , and high
symmetry points. Furthermore, an almost isotropic superconductivity along
direction in the momentum space is observed by varying the excitation energies.Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures, Accepted by Phy.Rev.
СТРУКТУРА ТРАВМ СУХОЖИЛИЙ РАЗГИБАТЕЛЕЙ ПАЛЬЦЕВ КИСТИ В ИВАНОВСКОЙ ОБЛАСТИ
Acute injury of finger extensor tendons constitute a significant part in overall causes for hospital admission.Purpose of the study: to evaluate injury patterns of finger extensor tendons in population of Ivanovo region.Material and methods. The authors performed the retrospective statistical analysis of 163 medical histories of patients who underwent hospital treatment in the period from January 2011 till December 2014 at department of wrist reconstructive surgery and microsurgery of Ivanovo regional clinical hospital of war veterans. The study was carried out in full compliance with medical ethics. Excel 7.0 was applied for statistical analysis.Results. Injury patterns of patients with finger extensor tendons demonstrated prevalence of males aging from 21 to 40 years old. Most frequent is the left hand trauma at home while handling devices with high-speed rotation mechanism. Most lesions occur in time interval from noon till 6 p.m. Patients with combined injuries prevailed. The authors observed hospital admittance within first 6 hours after trauma.Conclusion. A typical patient with finger extensor tendons trauma is an active age male injured in everyday life and often in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
