    To realize an idea, either for business or social purposes wouldrequire a lot of things, such as funding and publication. Fundraising itself is not quick and easy, it takes a lot of people(crowd) to raise funds quickly. Moreover, gathering a lot ofpeople needs publications that generally use social media. Thisresearch is intended to create application that can meet theserequirements, which is a fundraising application that applying the concept of crowdfunding and is connected to social media - Facebook.This application is a web-based application and can be accessed from Facebook Application. Another publications features are login with Facebook, share to Facebook, and newsletter features. From the results of the implementation and testing, we can conclude that this system is capable of running its function as fundraising intermediaries and also publish a fundraising project via Facebook and newsletter

    Perencanaan Strategik Sumber Daya Dosen Pada Universitas Syiah Kuala

    Perencanaan strategik perlu dilakukan dalam pengembangan dan peningkatan sumber daya dosen di Perguruan Tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk mengetahui perencanaan strategik sumber daya pada Universitas Syiah Kuala.PEnelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Sumber data penelitian adalah Rektor dan Pembantu Rektor I. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kebijakan pengembangan dosen di Universitas Syiah Kuala, dilakukan berdasarkan pertimbangan pemeratan dan perluasan akses, peningkatan mutu, relevansi dan daya saing serta peningkatan tata kelola, (2) Strategi pengembangan dosen pada univesitas Syiah Kuala diprioritaskan melalui kegiatan rekrutmen, promosi profesor dan studi lanjut dari jenjang S1 ke jenjang S2 dan dari jenjang S2 ke jenjang S3, (3) Program dan implementasi pengembangan sumber daya dosen dilaksanakan melalui mekanisme monitoring, evaluasi umpan Balik yang terus menerus, untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya keseimbangan antara biaya yang dikeluarkan dengan derajat mutu yang dihasilkan dari semua produk universitas,(4) Evaluasi dilakukan secara berkala dan berkelanjutan melalui mutu input, proses dan out put. Namun demikian tidak terdapat dokumen tentang rancangan evaluasi yang menyeluruh baik dalam kontek perencanaan maupun implementasi untuk tiap-tiap program, (5) Faktor pendukung pengembangan sumber daya dosen pada Universitas Syiah Kuala adalahpenataan anggaran yang sesuai dan tepat sasaran, penetapan kebijakan menunjukkan adanya komitmen dalam pelaksanaan program sesuai dengan peraturan, adanya fasilitas bagi dosen untuk meningkatkan kompetensinya.PERENCANAAN STRATEGIK SUMBER DAYA DOSEN PADA UNIVERSITAS SYIAH KUAL

    Congklak is one of the most popular traditional board games in Indonesia. It is said to train mathematical aspect of the player. Interestingly, nowadays more and more people are becoming less interested. Nowadays, people are paying less attention to traditional things and instead focus more to digital and electronic devices, including Indonesian. Traditional things are beginning to be forgotten from the minds of Indonesian. To re-capture Indonesian\u27s heart for traditional things, one of the ways is to digitize them. Hopefully by making a video game of Congklak more people, especially Indonesian, become more interested in Congklak as one of Indonesian traditional. Minimax Algorithm with its improvement, Alpha-Beta pruning is an option to make an intelligent computer player for Congklak.     Implementation of Real-Time Static Hand Gesture Recognition Using Artificial Neural Network

    This paper implements static hand gesture recognition in recognizing the alphabetical sign from “A” to “Z”, number from “0” to “9”, and additional punctuation mark such as “Period”, “Question Mark”, and “Space” in Sistem Isyarat Bahasa Indonesia (SIBI). Hand gestures are obtained by evaluating the contourrepresentation from image segmentation of the glove wore by user. Then, it is classified using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) based on the training model previously built from 100 images for each gesture. The accuracy rate of hand gesture translation is calculated to be 90%. Moreover, speech translation recognizes NATO phonetic letter as the speech input for translation

    This study attempts to evaluate performance of financial PT. Holcim Indonesia tbk, PT. Indocement tunggal perkasa tb , and PT. Semen Indonesia tbk (2011-201) with an analysis du pont system and economic value added ( eva ), by using descriptive methode. Du pont system analysis is used to control a change in the ratio activity and profit margins, and how far the influence to the repayment rate.Economic value added ( eva ) analyze financial performance by including calculation capital cost for the company. The result of this research the value of financial performance with du pont system PT. Holcim Indonesia and PT.Indocement tunggal perkasa experienced the condition of being fluctuations, whereas PT. Semen Indonesia was decreasing.The results of the research uses eva the performance of PT. Holcim Indonesia experienced the state of being fluctuating whereas PT. Indocement tunggal perkasa and PT.     During presentation, it is hard to maintain the slide because we need to stand in front of the room and often not able to touch the computer. The presenters need to take attention at both their voice, and body language such eye contact, facial expression, posture, gesture, and body orientation. Microsoft PowerPoint is a simple but very useful tool to create digital presentation. Even though it is simple to use, but this application required the presenter to take control while using it, such as to star the slide show or moving it to the next slide. The purpose of this research is to minimize physical contact between user and the computer during the presentation by controlling the move of the slide using voice.     Aktivitas Antibakteri Ekstrak dan Fraksi dari Ekstrak Metanol Daun Manggis (Garcinia mangostana) pada Bakteri Penyebab Ulkus Diabetik

    Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a degenerative disease due to metabolic disorders with acute to chronic hyperglycemic conditions. The complication of this disease is peripheral neuropathy exacerbated by bacterial infection, causing ulcers (sores) on the feet, hands, knees, back, and other parts of the body. The mangosteen plant (Garcinia mangostana) is empirically believed to have antidiabetic and cure diabetic ulcers. This study aims to compare the antibacterial activity of extracts and fractions of methanol extract of mangosteen leaves at concentrations of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100% against the bacteria causing diabetic ulcers in vitro. The research began with the maceration of mangosteen leaf powder extraction using methanol as a solvent. The fractions were obtained by the vacuum liquid chromatography (KCV) method. The bacteria that cause diabetic ulcers are obtained from ulcer specimens of diabetic ulcer patients. Antibacterial activity of extracts and fractions at 5 concentration series was tested using the disc diffusion method with 10% DMSO negative control and positive controls, namely Amoxicillin, Ampicillin, Ciprofloxacin, Cefotaxime, Gentamycin, Erythromycin, and Doxycycline. Antibacterial activity was expressed by the large area of the inhibition zone on the media inoculated with ulcer bacteria and incubated for 24 hours at 370 C. The results showed that there were 5 dominant bacteria found in the diabetic ulcer specimens, namely Escherichia spp, Klebsiella spp, Staphylococcus spp, salmonella spp, and Shigella spp. The results of the antibacterial sensitivity test showed that ciprofloxacin had the largest area of inhibition zone compared to Amoxicillin, Ampicillin, Cefotaxime, Gentamycin, Erythromycin, and Doxycycline so that Ciprofloxacin could be used as a positive control. The results of the antibacterial activity test for the methanol extract of mangosteen leaves with a concentration of 100% produced the largest inhibition zone, namely 27.10 mm ± 0.1 compared to methanol extract, fractions A, B, and C in all concentration series. However, the inhibition zone of the 100% concentration of mangosteen leaves methanol extract was smaller than the positive control of ciprofloxacin 5 μg / disk, which was 35.01 mm ± 0.1
