A building or an environment could not avoid the growth and change of an era. With the development and change of an environment tends to change the identity and diminish the authenticity of an architectural object. An architectural heritage or the architectural remains has became the identity of its environment and are often becoming obsolescensed, it is being disrespected because of the unability to provide the necessary facilities and needs of the different era's.. Identities and an image would became a necessity to give a statement of a building or an environment to the obsolescense environment. Pasar 16 Ilir Palembang is the case study and the oldest public market in the city of Palembang. It has kept numerous architectural herigaes and the buildings had became an identity which hasn't been given the proper treatment by the market holders or the user of those markets. The general reason is it was caused by the continuous decline of identity and spatial qualities. This thesis is a study on applying the methods of juxtaposition on a heritage environment that hascommercial values. The juxtaposition is being used to determine the proper architectural treatment that could be applied on a heritage buildings and an environment that tend to have obsolescence so that it would have a new identity that are both strong for its heritage values and also provides the atmosfer suitable to its time

Palembang, having been one of the oldest city in Indonesia has inherited buildings that define an era. One of those remains are the traces of the colonial buildings in Palembang. The buildings that were built in those era are very predominant to it's surrounding. The old Palembang area is divided with the 16 ilir in Palembang is an economic sector and the merdeka corridor is the government sector and also the Talang Semut area as a housing and settlement sector. This paper is about the traces of colonial building in the old colonial building in Palembang, represented with the Talang Semut area that have transformed into commercial places. The methods used in this study are using a visual research study to pinpoint the existing nature of the building and the transformation of the buildings as a result of changes in buildings function from settlements into micro commercial areas and also using space syntax analysis as a quantitative method to see how the streets have effected the transformation of the buildings. The transformation of Dutch and colonial places are found many in the colonial settlements in the city of Indonesia and have shaped the vibrant colors of cities in Indonesia. The Talang Semut area acts as one of the areas that transformed from settlements into micro economic, such as stores and culinary spots. The transformation of function have very much affected the visual expression of its original facade and therefore affected the character of the colonial housing settlements of Talang Semut in Palembang

Introduction: The report of doctors who died with COVID-19 in Indonesia was high and influenced by several factors. This study examined COVID-19 infected doctors and mortality risk factors in East Java. Material and Methods: This observational cohort study was conducted among doctors infected with COVID-19 in East Java during March 2020-September 2021 and collected the COVID-19 infected doctors' deaths report. Doctors received a questionnaire on the status of COVID-19, history of covid-19 infection, age, sex, type of doctor, type of specialization and resident, pregnancy, underlying disease and nutritional status. All data were described and potential risk factors' association was analyzed. Results: We reported 2041 doctors infected with COVID-19. Majority of them (52,5%) was male, 162 doctors were more than 59 years old, 162 doctors (7,9%) were died and 41,4% was general practitioner. The odds ratio in each risk factor for mortality was older age doctors 15,468 (95% CI 10,587-22,601), male 6,128 (95% CI 3,906-9,614), general practitioner 2,461 (95% CI 1,769-3,423), doctors with underlying disease 39,842 (95% CI 23,077-68,798), Type II diabetes mellitus 82,504 (95% CI 42,767-159,162), cardiovascular disease 50,152 (95% CI 16,672-150,866), hypertension 19,425 (95% CI 10,528-35,840), Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease 5,52 (95% CI 0,610-49,992), Asthma 2,091 (95% CI 0,626-6,986), Obesity 30.750 (95% CI 15,293-61,828) and Pregnant doctors 43.013 (95% CI 10.986-168.414) (p<0,05). Conclusion: Older age, male, general practitioner, doctors with underlying disease, cardiovascular disease, Type II diabetes mellitus, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, obesity, pregnant doctors had been mortality risk factors among COVID-19 infected doctors
